My first experience here was great, I wanted acrylics and they told me that if I did tips I HAD to get powder gel on top, no exceptions, and that it was $50. I said okay, and they turned out great. So I came back three weeks later, my nails lasted amazingly those three weeks but they had grown out. I brought my boyfriend with me to get a manicure for himself. First, they used dirty cuticle pushers and cuticle cutters from the dirty container sitting on the table. The lady doing my boyfriend's nails cut them so short they were bleeding, then put the nail clippers back in the same container. The lady doing my nails filed them so hard she cut the skin next to my nail, and again put the file with blood on it back into the container with all the other tools. Four days later one of them started to lift, so I got it fixed and then three days after that, another one started to lift. When I spoke up about not being happy with how it was being fixed, the owner, Sophie, started to yell at me saying it's not her fault. It certainly wasn't my fault!!! $50 for dip powder and it didn't even last a week, not to mention all the dirty tools used to make my boyfriend and I both bleed. Definitely the worst nail salon I've been to. It's dirty not clean at all. cuticle cutters get used on everyone they never clean them and they cut you so it's a huge health risk for many reasons including AIDS and HIV. Not to mention the owner is extremely racist, she overcharged me because of the color of my skin. All my white friends go here she charges them 25$ for regular gel, I came here and she charged me 30$. When I asked her why she said it's because for adults it costs more which is absolute bs. I walked in she laughed in my face and told me my appointment was the day before and then she checked her book and said that I was right. So so so rude never coming back here again Sophie is actually horrible, bad service and rude. Also the gel started chipping after 2 days. read more

I love this nail salon, but fair warning m, I love it because of the owner. Sophie is great when it comes to doing nails. She started in on mine and i hated them she noticed and redid them with no extra charge. What i will day is that it does seem to take longer then usual to get anything done there. I almost always walk in no appointment and they see me right away but I've noticed when i have certain workers do my nails i have to clear any plans i May have had. It's just not worth it if you're in a rush. If you're looking for a nail spa, I definitely recommend but i would also request to see Sophie as she is the only one i would trust to do anything. read more

Lamila is simply the best! I've followed Sophie for the past 10 years now to 3 different salons. I love coming here because Sophie is so genuine and caring about all of her customers. Never had a better manicure and pedicure by another manicurist before, which is why I keep coming back. Also, I am very selective when it comes to my eyebrows. Every time I have them done they are perfect and exactly what I've asked for! The salon itself is very clean and there's a great selection of polishes. Just such a bad experience. Won't be going back. Just got my nails done last night and one nail literally already fell right off. And plenty more are lifting. If you want to get acrylic nails, save your money, go to cvs and buy glue on nails, it'll be the same outcome. I called them yesterday before I came in to ask how much acrylic full set was. They said $30 so I said okay and came in. I decided to get a pedicure too, so they did that first. When I sat down to do my nails I specifically asked them to add acrylic without the plastic tips since I only wanted a millimeter or two longer than what I currently had. The lady doing it added acrylic straight on top of my nails without using the stickers that they normally use for nail extensions, which was fine. Since I wanted them really short, if they are too thick they look bulky and it is much more noticeable when they are very short like mine. I asked the lady if she could thin them out, she looked annoyed, picked up the nail file and scraped them once or twice and put it down. So I was like, no can you please file them down with the rotating file. So again she looked annoyed and filed them down a little. Anyways whatever. After she finished all of it, she asked if I wanted to pay, and wrote down 40$ for the nails. I asked why it would be 40 when I was told it would be 30, and she said it's because they didn't use the tips and instead they "freehanded" the acrylic. I can understand this charge if I I wanted long nails and it took a lot of time and effort.... but she literally barely extended my nail length. Regardless, they said it was gonna be 40$. So I wasn't gonna argue with them I just decided that I wouldn't ever come back here and I just wanted to leave at this point. So she ran my card for the higher amount and I said to them that if they were gonna charge me 10$ more for no reason they should have notified me BEFORE I got them done that there would be an additional 10$ charge and I would have immediately said that I didn't want that. So the lady gave me back 10$ in cash I guess cause she felt bad. But while I was waiting for her to charge me I noticed that many of my nails were lifting in the corners before she even painted them. So I said to her that they are lifting and I took a business card and was able to slide it between the nails and the acrylic!! So instead of fixing the nail the correct way, by trimming off the lifted parts and adding acrylic to where it was necessary, she just took nail glue and squirted it between my nails and the acrylic. They sell fake nails at CVS, if I wanted glued on nails I could have taken 10$ and bought them and glued them on myself. But whatever. She painted them and I went to dry them in the nail dryer, and all the nail glue dried white all over my cuticles. At this point I was just so upset and felt like I had completely wasted my money. The owner came over to settle another customer next to me to dry her nails, and I just had to tell her. So I said that I wasn't trying to give them a hard time but I had to point out how all my cuticles were covered in white nail glue....she told me to come over to her chair to fix it and removed the nail glue and added cuticle oil so now it looked okay. Anyways, she had said if I had any issues I could come back any time to have them fixed, and of course, not even 24 hours later, the nail popped off when I went to pick something off of a table. It's probably because they were glued on with nail glue and not done properly with acrylic. I don't know if maybe they thought I never get my nails done before so I wouldn't notice? I have been getting acrylic nails for years now and this was probably one of the worst experiences. What a waste of money. Got these nails done last night. My cuticles didn't get any worse since yesterday so the pictures are pretty accurate of how it looked like when I left. read more

I've been with Sophie for over a decade now. Simply put no one does a manicure like she does. I've followed her since she was working at two other nail salons until she finally opened her own place. She's amazing and the staff she hired does a superb job as well. My manicures and pedicures last and always look awesome. I always feel welcome, comfortable, and leaving feeing fabulous. They don't rush you and actually make sure your nails look great before you are done. As for the place itself, they have awesome colors and are super clean. Prices are good too and are fair for this area. Cannot and will not go anywhere else. Definitely recommend going here. Won't be disappointed :) read more

I've been getting my nails done by Sophie for quite a long time. I followed her here from her previous nail salon. She is excellent! Whether I get a manicure or pedicure she is efficient and fast and never disappoints me. Sophie is also a very kind, warm person. She's a pleasure to deal with. I am currently getting a special color gel nail polish manicure, the one with powder, no uv lights needed! Love this as I can walk out of the salon when she's done as there is no need to sit under a dryer and it last for 2 weeks! Highly recommend LaMila Nail Spa. I was with my wife in Long Island and suddenly, she wants to get her nail done, so I was driving by the road and see this nail salon looks nice, so we decided to give a try, the lady(owner) there was way beyond nice, she introduced all of their services to my wife, and she took her time and finally picked the style she wanted(I'm not an expert on nails, so I don't know what that called, please forgive me), the lady didn't even have any type of rushing altitude, she patiently introduce everything my wife was asking. So they got started, I was waiting at the waiting area, the other lady asked to offer me a cup of water while I was waiting, she was very nice too. Half hour later, my wife was finished, and they do accept both cash or cards, but I would recommend pay in cash to the ladies with a nice tip. My wife was so happy and the nail made her day, and it looks gorgeous to me too(even thou I'm not an expert, seems like my wife enjoy it) Thank you so much, we will be sure to be back again:) read more

I had one good experience here when the owner did my nails. I thought they were a little pricey, but she did a really nice job on a gel manicure. However, I tried them one more time and I went in the evening and another woman did my nails. This time I got a regular manicure. My polish appeared streaky, and by the morning it was peeling off. I believe that she used a subpar topcoat, as I used the Opi brand polish that they have. I won't be going back, being that they charged me more than any other nail salon in the neighborhood, and by the following day my polish was so chipped and peeled that I needed another manicure. read more

I read reviews on the nails and it's probably true but just be careful if you want eyelash extensions. It's $80 but not sure if it's worth it. I got mine done for the first time and I asked for fuller lashes but I just got longer lashes. I wanted to have nice full lashes for a wedding and my birthday coming up but it doesn't look any different than my lashes before. read more

I've been going here for a year since my mom really like Sophie and the prices were really good. I just went in and I had Elena and while the manicure was fine, nothing special to say about it, I got the extra callous remover and she did it SO hard that she took a piece of my skin off the side of my foot! For an extra service they don't use the right instruments and this should not have happened at all. Very unhappy. Came in around 510 pm and asked for a mani pedi. When they directed me to the pedicure chair I asked if I could do my mani first as I like my hands to dry while I get me feet done. The owner said sure. Great. I sat in the mani chair and someone began filing my nails. A minute later the owner came back and asked if I wanted to do them both at the same time so they could accommodate a 530 appointment. Great I said. Then I was led to the pedi chair and someone began working on my feet. I waited for someone to start my hands. Around 520 the owner said sorry. Sorry? The 530 appointment came early. So rather than complete my service as promised, she took the appointment early and I got the exact opposite of what I asked for. Feet first. She didn't offer anything to make it up to me. Just sorry.
