However, when I went to check out, I was charged for the masks, bringing my total to about $70 -- essentially paying the full $140 value of the facial on top of the original cost of my gift card. I felt blindsided. If the masks were going to cost extra, that should have been clearly stated beforehand. It's not about the money so much as the principle the whole interaction felt disingenuous. I was actually planning on booking my next appointment before I left because I initially liked the aesthetician, but after this experience, I won't be returning. They didn't cease to exist. I asked the front desk and they told me there's no guarantee of hair removal like their website and signage suggests, rather that there's hair reduction. I didn't spend $$$$ for hair reduction. I have no intention of going back and will be continuing to wax my underarms going forward. I went through a traumatic experience shaving for them before every session (used to blood baths when shaving because I get severe hand spasms and cut myself instead). I really wish I had known this prior to booking but they are savvy saleswomen and want your $$$$. I feel misled and taken advantage of. If you or someone you know are considering this service, I would strongly recommend not using laser until the science has actually been perfected and proven to REMOVE hair instead of "reduce" hair. Not only did i leave with this monstrosity on my hand, I was pressured to give a bigger tip. The screenshot picture is what I asked if he could do and he told that he could. He burned my nails with the nail drill multiple times and they came out chunky. He didn't even ask how long I wanted them, he immediately made them extra short. They charged me $60 and I gave the guy $5 tip although i was unhappy with how they looked I didn't want to leave without tipping. He got upset and told me that my nails were very hard to do and that the $5 was not enough. The manager then came and proceeded to tell me that I needed to tip more because the design was too hard.
