In 2024, Lamco repaired our HVAC system, during the initial diagnosis they quoted us an hourly rate for the technicians which was mutually agreed and quoted over the phone. Clarification was further provided that the technician would charge for the hours that they worked for (Initial Estimate was ~5hrs work). Once the work was completed, the back office sent an office for the amount for the whole estimated time even though it took less than half the time (~1.5hrs). When the invoice was received it was a shocker since based on the communication prior to the work it was agreed to be per hour basis. After refutation, the invoice was revised to a lower number but still did not reflect the hours the technician worked. Its been a struggle to ensure alignment - I would not recommend them for any work! read more

Had some bath plumbing changes made to a 75 year old home. I worked with Chris via e-mail to detail changes and select new hardware. When hardware was available, I received a friendly e-mail for possible scheduling dates. Eric arrived right on time and got right to the job. He used drop clothes to protect floor and counters, cut away bath tiles to access old piping, ran new water feeds to a new, single handle control valve. Installed matching spout, drain, shower and matching decorative trim plate to cover the new control valve. At the end, Eric checked the valve scald setting to endure safety of the new water output. We were shown what he was doing as the project progressed, and he cleaned up all trash to our satisfaction at the end. Eric was here about 5 hours and was totally professional and friendly throughout. We are totally satisfied. Laamco has maintained our old HVAC system for decades, and recently installed a replacement system. They have installed a new water heater as well. We are completely satisfied with the technicians, plumbers and staff at Laamco. We highly recommend them for any heating, cooling or plumbing service or maintenance. read more

After doing quite a bit of research on companies to install a mini-split system, I chose four that were rated superior for quality and price. Three of the four submitted bids. Lamco's price was the best, and the representative who visited (Chris) was very informative and pleasant. They completed the work, as promised and on price, and returned promptly to clear up a couple of small cosmetic problems. I would definitely use them again! read more

In 2017, Lamco installed the ~$13k central A/C in a house I purchased in 2019. In 2020, the coil failed, and Lamco blamed it on the manufacturer and said it would be a $3.3k repair. I'd already paid $700 to Lamco, who was always saying they'd follow up with me but never did. Coils should last over 20 years, and instead of standing by their work - and the vendor they purchased the unit from - they asked if I'd like to consider an entirely new system? For another 13k. I was offered a couple hundred dollars off the new work, which I feel was inadequate considering I'd spent over $850 getting them to diagnose the problem, and I had to chase them for information throughout the process. I'll take the repair elsewhere. read more

1st I have been with Lamco Systems for many years. This will be my last.If you need any work outside of a heating or air conditioner serviced they are terrible. I asked for a quote on a hot water tank replacement and they could not even give me a ball park quote after I told them what kind of tank and model number along with about 10 photos. They would have to come out at a service charge to see. Last week I had my summer AC check up. I have an Attic fan that is attached to the system to displace humidity which needs a new motor. The service guy went online and told me a motor would be about $150 plus an hour service fee of $88 which sounded reasonable. Today I get a call and it is $662. They can not find a motor and need to replace the whole unit. Bull !!!!!!! I'm done with them. Philip Leahy read more

I have a rental property in Massachusetts. I received a call from one of my tenants at 5 PM the night before a major blizzard came through Massachusetts that he was having trouble with his heat. After my plumber was unable to diagnose the issue given this is not his area of expertise, he referred me to Lamco. I called and left a message and received a call back first thing the next morning around 8:30am. Chris came out and quickly diagnosed the issue. Given the heat wasn't working at this point and the storm was about to start, he had another employee drive from Tyngsboro to Nashua to get the part and meet him down in Groton where the property is located. Heat was back working by 10:30am. Overall a fantastic experience. I felt Chris was knowledgeable and kept me informed throughout the process. I also feel the pricing was more than fair. Some places would have taken advantage of the situation. I felt the price from Lamco was very fair and honest. read more

Stay away from this company! We are still fixing Lamco's installation of our air-conditioning system two years later! We thought we were done after fixing the first 11 installation issues but.... Today we found out that Lamco installers laid the main air-con duct over all 3 of our bathroom vents when we had to replace one bathroom vent! Who in their right mind would cover existing bathroom vents w/an air-con duct? Lamco... This leaves us w/two options... 1) Have our current contractor move Lamco's air-duct (again) or 2) tear apart my bathroom ceilings when the vents need replacing because they can longer be accessed via the attic because of Lamco. Great choices, huh? After 13 years of dealing with contractors on our home Lamco is by far the worst and most expensive contractor we have ever dealt with and had to clean up after. I have all the paperwork and would be happy to show anyone in doubt of this review what it has cost us fix Lamco's installation. I'd even be willing to show you their handy work in the attic and how well they covered all the bathroom vents! Buyer beware! read more

Lamco did all the HVAC work in our condo. We have not had any issues as of yet. We had heat all winter without an issue. We had someone come today to install our AC unit and he was very nice. I asked a ton of questions and he was able to answer them all. As of right now, I would recommend Lamco. read more

Avoid this company at all costs. We had them install our $20k HVAC system in our new home and started having troubles after 13 months. They don't stand by their work. Cost us $400 to fix the first time, looking at the same again, possibly yearly due to their bad design. Trust us, go elsewhere, you'll be happy you did. read more

If I could give them less than 1 star I would. The absolute worst quality HVAC work. They installed an HVAC system in a new construction a few years back. A week later they had to come out and fix the exhaust fan in one of the bathrooms because they didn't even connect it. Now, through an energy audit we discovered that the system is so leaky that it possibly caused mold. It also does not push the air into half of the house so even if the AC is on all the time half of the house is not cooling down. The HERS rater told us that the type of work that was done was atrocious. There are holes everywhere and this type of system would never be allowed to pass an energy test. We asked them to come out and fix this issue and they refused. Stay away from these people. They don't know what they are doing and you will have to spend thousands of dollars to fix their shoddy work. read more

Lamco installed a furnace in our home several years ago. An energy audit in May discovered Lamco had installed the ductwork backwards pumping excess carbon monoxide into our home and lungs. In addition Lamco undersized the duct work causing a backdraft to the hot water heater. Lamco wants $2000 to fix the mistakes they made. The gas company came and shutoff the gas to the furnace and hot water heater. read more
