There's always a decent line but a lot of available seating. Union Coffee is a good place to get some work done. However, I honestly am not a fan of their drinks. The lavender and snickerdoodle lattes are both incredibly sweet and syrupy, and I'm not a big fan of the taste. The regular coffee drinks are below average for their price range and nothing special. The food is also overpriced and much lower quality than you'd expect for a New Jersey bagel or sandwich. I think it's a decent place to stop by if you need somewhere to work for a few hours. I just personally wouldn't come here again.

I wanted to take a second to sit down and enjoy the cozy vibes inside the shop. It was quiet and felt like an old fashioned general store. I didn't know what to order but got excited when I saw a sign for an affogato. The lady at the front counter highly recommended it so I was very excited. The affogato itself was just okay. The coffee was very strong and bitter. The ice cream is from a small shop next door, which excited me. The ice cream was a little icy, however, and I would have preferred something smooth and soft that melted into the coffee. I was in the mood for a sweet treat but the bitterness of the coffee made me just pick at the ice cream and ignore the coffee around it.
