The wine list is really rather well priced, with most options by the glass well under $15. The best bit? There's FOUR sparkling options available by the glass ranging from the local (think: King Valley) to the fancy-pants (think: Champagne) which means you can stick on bubbly all night long and still enjoy some variety. When it comes to food, the menu is simple and straightforward with most items cured or preserved in some way. Beef Jerky (from co-owner Adam North's tasty cows), chicken liver parfait (in the most GIGANTIC and artery challenging portion you've ever seen), smoked octopus tentacle (served barbarian style with a knife stabbed in on a wooden block), olives, terrine, cheese and pickled vegetables. Sometimes kicking on doesn't go that well, but they handled our merry behaviour extremely well here. We were happy and pleasant as always but probably a bit loudish at times. No matter. We moved steadily through some nice wines. Water was kept up nicely as well. The chap with the German heritage here handled us wonderfully throughout with calm professionalism and very good humour. He is a serious superstar. Nice interlude. I think lunch finished around 9.30pm!

Aside to wine, coffee and beers are available, though very basic and unexciting in selection. Wines are by glass and bottle, and toasted sand whiches are on offer as bar snacks, Lina's has a distinct and unusual smell about it, but is quite good for no fuss quiet drinks- except when it's busy. All in all a cosy humble little place, with great quality food and service.

They served it with beautifully warmed bread and roe on the side for me. We didn't have much choice on what else to order, as the tempura oysters (or oysters in general) were sold out. So we ordered the pork rillette and duck & pistachio terrine. The duck was quite nice with the pistachios but it was so fatty that even with the plum jam (?), gerkins etc it still didn't cut through the fattiness. The terrine was nothing special. They managed to forgot our tomato and goats cheese salad which they bought out quite quickly once they realised. It was a blessing in disguise because it was a nice refreshing end to the dinner. The tomato salad was actually the bomb and I could eat a 5 plates of these! Extremely fresh mix of heirloom tomatoes, a deep fried tomato w an amazing chilli kick & mild goats cheese was da bomb.
