Returned calls are 2 days later not 24 hours. Appointments are months in advance even tho you won't see the doctor. Now they want to charge you a yearly "membership fee" of $250. See below for email sent. That's insane! These doctor just want your money and insurance money. I left this place for another doctor that's available and the office answers their phone. Beginning February 1, 2026, our practice will implement an annual administrative fee of $250 per calendar year to help offset the cost of certain non-clinical and non-covered administrative services that are not reimbursed by insurance plans.

So kind, attentive and personable. Something changed over the last 2-3 years when she started offering a concierge service at the cost of 2k a year. At first, it was made to seem like an elite members only type service for a select few but over the last year I believe her practice changed to solely serve concierge clients. In the years that my family member was a patient, Dr P not once checked in on her during her hospitalizations. Rather, she would send someone in her place. The answering service is always on so you don't get a live person when you call. You need to leave a message and wait for a call back. Recently, the call back time has gotten better. Parking is at a fee unless you park in the residential area two blocks away. Her PA April August is really great. The office staff is nice. The waiting area is small- her office so small. I get the need to find a way to keep a private practice thriving, but lately it's at the expense of lower income individuals. It just feels icky to have to pay up or move on after being a patient for over 10 years.

Every time I see her, I see that she's so busy and overloaded that I personally feel like I should just rush through my visit, so she can have more time with other patients with more, or more serious, issues than I have. Yet, once she walks into the room, she sits down and has a full on conversation with me with her full undivided attention. She obviously keeps very careful and detailed notes on each patient and reviews them before walking into the room. She then documents everything said during the visit, so nothing slips through the cracks. She also personally calls to discuss lab results! Seriously. My last visit this past week, I saw her scarfing down her lunch in the back while I sat in the waiting room. I felt so bad and wanted to make my visit a breeze, but she sat me down and talked about so many details in my life. She even gave me some excellent career advice which I'm so grateful for. A few days later, she called to discuss my lab results and to alter some prescriptions. She doesn't even rush a phone call like that. My favorite story though is a few years ago, when I had no insurance, an old health problem arose, and I called my local pharmacy just hoping against all odds they'd refill an old prescription. Obviously, they couldn't, so they said they'd call Dr. Grigorian to see if she would okay the prescription. I immediately got a call from Dr. Grigorian's office saying that since she hasn't seen me in awhile, she'd feel more comfortable if I went in to get checked out first. Come to find out that Dr. Arthur Ayvazian is now caring for his patients. So, I'm here for my physical and I every time I come here it is usually the longest wait. Last time I was here, I waited over 50 mins to be called. I was very upset Hence why I was going to give up on this place. But, I figured I'd give this facility another chance and I'm glad I did. I had such a great experience this time around. One, because I ONLY waited for maybe 10 minutes. And two, I appreciated the care that my doctor provided. To the person who critically suggested that she should 'lose her license for practicing psychiatry', perhaps you're just not used to having a caring doctor who goes above and beyond to help her clients work towards possible solutions with appropriate suggestions to find what might help. I do agree that her front desk staff post-pandemic left lots to be desired but her new staff (read: she sees problems and solves them) are amazing. Extremely professional and kind despite how very busy they are because her clients are super-happy with her. Her new PN is also exceptional. P.S.: Dr. M's gotta be the best diagnostician in Pasadena. I had a full chart with that doctor. Not sure what happened to it. I was currently trying for a baby and have to get annual breast exams due to my family history of breast cancer. I had the ultrasounds done and even a biopsy on my breasts a month prior to seeing her for my physical and doctor Hethumuni insisted that I get a full mammogram before I continue to try for a baby. I made the mammogram appointment for the next day. When I showed up to the appointment they told me it had been canceled. I tried to make another one. They called me and said they canceled it. They kept canceling it because they said I was not in need of a mammogram at this stage of life. It took a while before I had figured out that they were calling. Dr. Hethumuni's office every time before they canceled my appointments. She had written down in my file that I did not need a mammogram until the age of 42, despite telling me in the office that I should not try for a baby until after I get a mammogram. She cost me a month of trying for a baby. I never received an apology for her massive mistake. She is also continuously late for telehealth appointments, and not exaggerating. When I say that one time I waited 40 minutes for her. Yet I still owe $45 for an appointment that I was 8 minutes late for an appointment when there was no parking anywhere within a mile of their facility. I called when I got there 5 minutes before my appointment and said there was no parking. And they replied there is no grace period. The audacity is pretty outrageous.
