We had LaLa cater my sister's birthday party this past Saturday and we couldn't be more pleased. The food was so delicious; the guests could not stop raving about it! We had the carnitas, chicken, grilled vegetables and carne asada. It was such high quality and prepared so well. We'd chosen LaLa's because they have vegan options. The tray we ordered was the vegan chorizo with potatoes and peppers. Unbelievably delicious. We couldn't keep the non-vegans away from it! Other stand-outs were the chunky guacamole, so yummy, and the chipotle crema. We don't don't what goes into that chipotle crema but it is out of this world addictive! We had only one small issue when our order arrived. The frescas were delivered in big water bottles. I called up Celina to let her know I'd expected to see dispensers for the frescas since that was what was in the pictures on the website. I explained to her that I didn't have anything to serve the frescas in. Celina was up to our house in less than 15 minutes with two very nice serving jugs with ladles. LaLa's is on the pricey side but we really felt that we got our money's worth. The website made it really easy to choose our menu and place our order, the food was incredibly delicious, and Celina was so kind to make sure we had everything we needed. Yesterday, Ruben of LaLa Taco catered our event in Temecula. He was a delightful and friendly host for his cart. The tacos/meats and quesadillas were all flavorful & amazing, so was the set up. Rice/beans and salsa were great too. all our guests raved about the cart! The stove and Taco making bowls were all very clean, which I'm a fanatic about. The charcuterie trays that we added as an extra were over the top beautiful, high quality meats/cheeses/fruits and plentiful. Ruben even remembered the coordinators names, so professional. The previous taco lady we had used for a large party was not available so in a panic I reached out to 3 other taco vendors. La La's is the only one who replied. The owner provided great follow up and communication, and made excellent recommendations for the amount I would need to order for a wedding shower with about 35 people. The food is excellent. Updated to 4 Stars (1/20/22): After I left the initial review, below, Aaron reached out to me to apologize for the issue we experienced. He was unaware of what had transpired and has taken steps to make sure he is informed of future issues. He let me know that he has taken over the scheduling of deliveries. In the future, I would recommend working with Aaron to make sure that your event goes smoothly. 1/18/22: I would have given 2.5 starts if I could have, but that is not an option. Customer Service Review: Customer service was great until three days before the event. They let me change the number of guests ten days before the event, as COVID kept some of our guests from joining us, which I was super grateful for. I had originally booked them back in July, for an original time of 2:30 pm drop off. When all was said and done, and I paid the deposit we agreed to a 2 pm to 2:45 pm delivery window in Eastvale. The actual address we had them delivered to was in Corona, closer to their location in Temecula, which is why the delivery time debacle is also puzzling. Three days before the event, we were emailing back and forth about the delivery address and the delivery time changed from the first email from them to the second email on the same day. The first email had the agreed upon delivery time of between 2 pm to 2:45 pm, the second email said 1:30 pm. I initially didn't notice the changed time because I was looking for the updated and corrected total due (most of the emails they sent me had too high of a charge on them). Once I realized the mistaken delivery time, I emailed back to try and rectify the situation. When I asked about the delivery time, they wanted $100 to guarantee a delivery time of 2:30 pm (the time I requested back in July). We were already paying a delivery fee of $40, and they wanted to increase that when they were not scheduling delivery times properly. I tried to compromise and asked them to waive the delivery fee, and we would take the food at whatever time we had too, but they would not change the delivery fee, as it is "all their delivery drivers make." I had booked in JULY, so there was plenty of time for them to make arrangements and delivery schedules for an appropriate and agreed upon delivery schedule. It felt like a money game, not good customer service. When I was trying to figure out what had happened and discussing alternatives, such as waiving the delivery fee, Celina told me that they had given me "free" guacamole and chips, but that was because their website had one price on it and they quoted me a more expensive price. I would have taken the discounted price, as an alternative, and provided our own appetizers. There was no real apology or attempt to make it right on Lala's end of things. We were stuck as it was three days before our event, and it seemed like they capitalized on that. The delivery driver, Lawrence, was fantastic and helped to place all of the food in the oven, so it could stay warm until we were ready to serve it. He made it all fit in a single oven. Food Review: Overall, the food was delicious! The guacamole was delicious and fresh. We had plenty of food to spare! The beans lacked flavor, but everything else was so flavorful and we even had enough to make nachos later that night for our second dinner. The carnitas tasted more like a barbacoa, and everyone was in love with it. They sent one bag (think big Tostitos size) of chips for 30 people, so it was a good thing my mom had purchased some chips at the store, or else we would have run out. read more

This is a long overdue review for their taco bar delivery service (July of 2021). I am getting ready to place out second order for another family gathering and realized I forgot to post this review after our last experience. Everything was a breeze!! From ordering to payment and through delivery, they were professional, efficient, prompt, and so very kind! The owner was incredibly responsive and helpful help during the planning/ordering process. She helped us to navigate the menu to select options and portions that would suit vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and carnivore preferences. The food was authentic and DELICIOUS! It was obvious to us that they take great consideration to use fresh, high quality ingredients and to make their recipes from scratch. Our menu included fish, carne asada, carnitas, grilled veggies and a tray of the sweet potatoes and mushrooms (we could not get enough of these! The flavor was incredible!!). The salsa, chipotle crema and guacamole were all exceptional! Not only is the food fabulous, the quantity per person is more than generous...we even had leftovers after feeding about 4 unplanned guests! Even though my wedding was dreadfully behind schedule, they were patient and worked with us. We had a kosher-ish wedding, meaning it was dairy free since we were serving meat, and they made sure that our appetizers were dairy free. Everyone loved the tacos (including the vegan options). Oh, and my vegan friends said that the vegan horchata was hands down the best they'd ever tasted (and I agree)! So so glad I trusted Lala's tacos. Food was yummy, but the whole experience was a disappointment. They forgot our chips that we paid for with guacamole. We got the guacamole but not the chips. We texted and called Aron but he never replied or came back with the chips. We also were under the impression that the food came with the warming burners. When I asked Aron, he just said "Oh, did you want those? Those must be an add-on." I feel like he forgot them along with the chips. This is an update from my 10/3/21 review for our 11/6/21 event! We had Lala's cater our 11/6/21 back yard reception for just at 60 people and got the package for 65. It was a huge hit! The onsite team was on time, quick in serving, and everyone enjoyed the tacos and sides! People loved being able to walk up to the cart and "order" what they wanted. We had chicken, carnitas, carne asada, and soyrizo for vegetarians. The only thing I wish we would have done was increase the guac, we should have doubled down on that! Otherwise the quantities were huge and filling, the set up was splendid, and we enjoyed every bite! The carnitas were to die for and the vegetarian soyrizo was also a HUGE hit. So glad we added the chipotle crema, that was one of the first things to go! I definitely recommend them to any person who wants to cater to a large group with fresh hot food! I didn't get a ton of photos, but still, the set up was perfect for the group! Celina and Aron were awesome and their son who helped was super nice. 10/3/21 review: WOW WOW WOW -- We were blown away for our taco tasting for our upcoming private event in November. Throughout this process Aron and Celina have been extremely communicative and we can't wait to have them cater our event. From walking into their showroom to get a feel in person of what they offer and seeing it in the flesh, to having the chance to ask all of our questions, to sitting down and tasting the items, I can't say enough good things. Make sure to add the chipotle crema, holy moly was that amazing!! The price too! Wow! I was a tad worried at first thinking, hmmm you get what you pay for, but we were blown away with the quality and the quantity!
