D is for degrading experience!!…read more Weekends are problematic to strap hangers entering Brooklyn as it is re-routed on the N line beginning 36th Street to the very last stop- Coney Island Stillwell Avenue. Strap hangers who need the D train are then forced to take the D train going towards Manhattan to their desired stop. Upon arriving at Coney Island Stillwell Avenue, this train stalled for ten minutes due to so-called "signal problem" to become sitting ducks. Aggravating and total frustration for a complete waste of time travel!!! However, at the 18th Avenue station there are two beautiful lighted glass art on the wall.

The F train offered a quick transit to and from destination while providing entertainment below ground. I was one of several people who did give a tip to the dancers. There's also elevator service for those who don't ambulate well and for the handicapped and elderly. This was a very pleasurable trip that will forever encourage me to take the train and not consider driving or taking a Uber or catching a Lyft Bravo MTA, you did a fine job with the F train even though there were slight delays. Kiosk in the station to purchase tickets. Only downside is that this transportation mode is not part of MTA Metrocard which is ridiculous at this point. You pay separately for this service. NYC needs to work out a plan to have all transportation ( subway, bus, ferry ) all on one inclusive way to pay.

It was such a smooth ferry ride from Bay Ride -- 10 minutes total (second stop from here) and the bottom/inside of the ferry had AC, a bar and snacks area!! Since it was my first time on this ferry I went to the top to enjoy the view and it was so nice! The ferry was late but I think you should still get there on time just in case because they left as soon as everyone boarded! Was nice to take a ferry in the summer vs. the MTA trains!

Seven years and the only thing I can state is, unfortunately, a homeless man lived on the platform. Yes, it's awful, however, he looked menacing and I felt unsafe. When I asked the MTA personnel what is being done the answer I got was "Not the MTA's problem". Wow, I guess that was the best answer they got. It's improved a bit but there are numerous homeless sleeping on the train at this station. I think it's not just a police issue but the MTA personnel have to do more. The elevator construction in progress as you see in my picture has been going on for @2 years. As for the service, see my separate review for the R train. Enough said. This station gained another star for the elevator whenever it begins operation. As for me, I transfer off the R train at 59th and 4th because it's the sane thing to do.

I'm sitting in one of these chinatown small buses as I type this review. These buses are a life…read moresaver. They save me the hassle of having to take the mta and stop at every train station on the n to then transfer on the 7 just to get to flushing. It takes me 1.5 hours with mta but with these buses it only takes me around 40 mins give or take depending on the traffic. Not to mention I'm sitting in a comfy seat and don't have to deal with external issues. As of July 2021, I pay $5 one way. Using a rideshare app or calling car service would have costed me well over $40. The bus caters to the Chinese immigrant community that usually travels back and forth from the 3 different chinatowns (Brooklyn 8th ave, Manhattan chinatown, flushing queens) either for work, run errands or meet up with family. It gives the people mobility with comfort and it's community centered. If you are not Chinese it's still ok. Once you get to know the system that's in place you'll never want to take public transportation again.

We needed a ride from Brooklyn to Manhattan to bring our cat to the veterinarian. We never take car…read moreservice but this time, we needed a ride since we had a pet and don't want to try the subways. So we took a chance and found this car service. We arranged the ride 2 days before with dispatch and called day before to confirm. So on day of, the driver let us know he will be here in 6 minutes and gave all info including his name and what car it will be. Driver Ernesto came exactly on time and was super nice. We got there in 45 minutes, No problem. After our vet visit, we texted Ernesto and we immediately got a message saying a car can be there in 42 minutes to bring us back home. Someone called and asked if we will wait and a car will come to pick us up. We said yes we will wait since they are coming from brooklyn. Guess what, a car arrived in about an hour since it was rush hour, different driver and car. Communication was excellent. Even with the heavy traffic, driver was nice and accommodating, good air conditioning, drove fast and we got back to Brooklyn in about an hour 15 minutes. All went well and happy to say we had a good experience.
