1 Star -- A Terrible Moving Experience…read more I cannot recommend this moving company. Our experience was extremely disappointing from start to finish. The movers were rude, unhelpful, and unnecessarily rough with our belongings and our new home. At one point, we asked one of the movers to please be more careful with our walls. His response was, "What do you want to do, this yourself?" That response was incredibly disrespectful and completely unacceptable, especially when we were simply asking them to take reasonable care of our home. There were also significant problems with our belongings. A number of items were misplaced, and some table legs were eventually found in the company's Lost and Found. When the company offered to return them, they were left at our old address rather than our new address, which was yet another unnecessary problem we had to deal with. Even more frustrating, the movers left a substantial amount of our belongings at our old address, telling us they didn't have enough room in the truck. This included heavy items such as our treadmill and rugs. We were then forced to spend several additional hours and our own money hiring another moving van to retrieve and move the items ourselves. When I contacted the company about receiving some compensation for the problems we experienced, I was asked to sign an NDA agreeing not to speak negatively about the company in exchange for receiving some money back. I found that extremely troubling. After such a poor experience, I believe customers should be able to honestly share what happened to them rather than being asked to agree to silence in order to receive compensation. Moving is stressful and expensive enough without having to deal with careless handling of your belongings, items being left behind, belongings being misplaced, disrespectful behavior, and then additional out-of-pocket expenses to fix problems that shouldn't have occurred in the first place. I would be extremely hesitant to use this company again and would strongly encourage anyone considering them to look carefully at other options. This was one of the worst customer service experiences we've had, and I cannot recommend this company based on what happened to us.

NOT CUSTOMER ORIENTED!!!…read more We reserved this unit for over 2 years now and during the first few months - year we have been very satisfied with the Service of the Local Extra Space Storage staff. However, my rates keep increasing (seems to be every 2-3 months, and not by a small margin)? There is no reason for this that I can see so I need to know what is causing this or why this is happening. The facility did (1) upgrade to the gate since we have been there. We currently hold a 10'x 15' storage area and I can reserve a new one (same size,location) for $90/Monthly today. Some history on our account. September 2017 we signed a contract and we paid $117 a month for 3 months. Then it increased to $133 for 6 months. Now it increased again to $150+ a month starting in our 10th month. That is nearly a 30% increase in pricing and is ridiculous. But wait, there is more!! There have been small increments in pricing from month 10 to month 30 (today) but they just tacked on a new fee of over $195/Month. So since we have started, we are paying nearly double. We have spoken to the Extra Space Storage team and they "were unable to assist in the adjusted fees". As a note I'd mention that here has not been any changes to our insurance or stored possessions. I've went through the mean =s of trying to ask for an explanation of the new rates and got nothing from it. I will likely move my business from extra space to another unit. As a customer I feel like I am not getting the best service from this business any longer. There are much better rates in town for similar size, location, and environment units (even posted on THEIR OWN WEBSITE, but they cannot offer that to LOYAL CUSTOMERS, those offers are for "new accounts only".) While the local team is great, the company (who handles the rates/finances) is not customer oriented. I advise to take business elsewhere from Extra Space Storage.

I would barely give them a one star...they are horrible with their billing and responding to phone…read morecalls. We have billing errors we are trying to resolve. We were receiving late fees on auto pay. Stay away!! they have horrible customer service.. We also received a late fee for a space we vacated in January. There was once someone at the Euclid location, but she is no longer there. We have been told a Regional Manager will reach out to us with no calls at all. We have contacted BBB and hope not to contact our attorney.

There was never a person in the Willoughby location throughout December. We began receiving emails and extra fees for late charges upwards of $300, without any explanation or breakdown of fees. We finally found a person on site January 3, 2024. Our payment was located amongst other checks on their desk. The December payment was posted, however, the late fees were not removed because they needed to clear through their "supervisor". We informed them we would no longer be keeping our trailer here and left with trailer in tow We are still being charged for these late fees, and today February 6, we received an email that they were putting a lien on our property and putting up for auction. Our trailer has been in our possession since January 3, plus they were informed in-person, by letter and email that we were no longer going to rent a space. The customer service has been unbelievably poor. It is near impossible to speak to anyone about this. Phone calls have never been returned. We will now be contacting the BBB and our Attorney.
