It's located in the resort and it has great lake view. The food was great with big portions. The pasta was a little over cooked.

Stopped here for lunch after a round of "golf" and needing lunch. We usually eat at Signatures which is pretty underwhelming, so we waited an extra 12 minutes to eat here. Very nice views of the lake inside and plenty of seating options, as well as a bar area. We were sat by the windows and put in our drink orders. I ordered a French onion soup to start along with a Diet Pepsi, and a Wagyu Beef Burger for my meal. I didn't really read into what came on it, so I found myself scraping off the mushrooms. Also, a double stack burger, the bun was good, but the beef wasn't wagyu at all. It came with truffle steak style fries which were just ok. Seemed under cooked to me. Overall, the service was good, but the food didn't really carry this to 4 stars. read more

Dinner was great. I enjoyed lobster bisque; my husband found the seared Ahi tuna prepared to his delight. He devoured his pork chop. My crabcake with broccolini and saffron rice was perfect. I thoroughly enjoyed my time spent at Lakeside Grille. I ordered an old fashioned & it was really good. For my meal I had the 10oz. Filet Mignon Oscar Style (rare) & it was very good but, it wasn't rare. I would say it was more medium if not more than medium. My husband had the Wagyu burger (ordered medium rare)with truffle fries, but the burger was fully cooked & while still very flavorful, not what was ordered. Once a year my husband and I splurge on an expensive dining experience. It was our 34th wedding anniversary and we decided to take a 2-day trip a few hours from home. In appearances, this place looked great, and depending on the reviews you find it also had great food. Trust me when I tell you to research the numerous sites where you can find ALL the reviews. The atmosphere was nice and welcoming as was our waitress. We asked the waitress what the Roast Pork Belly was all about. She informed us it was a large chunk of fat that was seared and covered in a glaze. It sounded delicious until it got to the table. It was nothing more than a short rib with a small section of fat in the middle. It was good but it definitely was not $15 good. My husband decided on the queen-size (12oz) prime rib for $45, it looked pathetically sad and little sitting by itself on a big plate, but he did say it was good. I ordered the $57 (14oz) boneless ribeye and a side of truffle fries for $6. It looked WONDERFUL and I teased my husband that he had just chosen poorly. It wasn't long before I had to eat my words because, by the time we left there, that was all that I had consumed. It was large, tough, dry, and flavorless and came out to me sad and alone on a plate just like hubby's. You might be wondering why there was no salad or side on those plates, it's because it didn't come with ANYTHING. That exuberant amount only covers the cost of the main course and anything else you have to pay extra for. That is where the truffle fries come in, I mean who eats JUST a steak as an entire meal?? Anyways back to those truffle fries which were more like wedges. It was obvious that they had been frozen before they received their fancy coating of truffle oil. They were cold and hollow in the center that no amount of extra doctoring could cover up. When we finally paid the $140 bill (including tip) we left, and stopped at a vending machine in the motel so I could eat. Is it really too much to ask for a dollar's worth of lettuce or potato to be included when ordering a $50 steak?? Unless you have money to blow or you are 5 sheets to the wind I don't recommend this place! read more

Went to Rocky Gap Casino it was dinner time so we went to the Lakeside Grill/ Restaurant on the ground floor it is well appointed and clean our Server was Sherri who was pleasant and interesting, the Ladies split a Wagu beef burger with Truffle fries I ordered the pork chop on risotto the first one came out cold and I sent it back, shortly another offering arrived and it was double thick with a delicious glaze topped with caramelized bacon pieces. In all fairness I must say this meal was extraordinary. temperature was right on, mouth feel was wonderful the glaze and bacon added but not overpowered the star of the dish. Polenta had a good flavor and texture. We all agreed although the menu was a bit pricey the food was prepared and presented well. And the flavors earned the title of excellent read more

We only ate breakfast here because supper was a 2 hour wait and extremely expensive. We had reservations for 9 am but noticed the restaurant was empty so I asked the young girl at the counter if it would be possible to be seated a little early. She then began to lecture me that reservations are important and she could seat us because it wasn't a weekend. She lectured us like we were 5. Only reason I have this a 3 was because Ashley, our server did a really good job Food is overpriced as you might expect. However 3 out of our 4 meals left a lot to be desired. After paying $22 to have dinner (with my members rewards discount), I was shown my table. I went and got my first plate (bass, potatoes, shrimp scampi). The bass was extremely cold; the shrimp were all bloated from being water-filled, and the pasta was extremely overcooked; the potatoes were the only good thing on the plate. Hoping I would do better on my second round, I got a second plate with a small salad, potato salad, and cooked shrimp that you had to peel. Let's start with the potato salad, it was the best part of that plate. The salad was dismal at best. At first I could not understand why the boiled egg pieces were hard to scoop out of the container. There were literally, only a few pieces of sliced up carrots. It was like no one cared about refilling any of the salad bar. The olives were all smashed. When I did eat the egg pieces from my salad, I felt like I bit into an ice cube. The egg pieces were frozen. I handed a piece to one member of my group. He complained how cold it was. As for the shrimp, it was rubbery; a distinct sign if being over cooked. I decided at this point, all I wanted was a piece of dessert. Being from the South, I had to get a piece of pecan pie. After two bites, I couldn't even eat that. I truly felt that I could have had better food at a fast food place or Sheetz convenience store right down the road and saved a lot of the money that I had spent at the Lakeside restaurant. Now, for a tip, if you eat nextdoor to the buffet (which I did on New Years Day with my wife), it is expensive, but alot better food. Granted service is extremely slow, since there were only two servers and a bartender (and he even had to wait on tables). Overall, as it stands now, I would never eat at Rocky Gaps' buffet restaurant. Maybe down the road, it will improve and I will be really hungry. read more

I stopped by here this past Friday night as part of a group of 7 for dinner. We arrived to the buffet at around 8:20 and for whatever reason had a rather long wait since the people at the front of the line were taking forever. Finally after paying we were taken to a table and told to help ourselves at the buffet. The inside of the restaurant here is made up of a rather large buffet with seating in a semi circle around it. On my first time through the buffet I grabbed a piece of pub fish, a pork rib as well as some three cheese pasta, peel and eat shrimp and some warm shrimp from a Maryland crab boil. Whenever I sat down at the table I noticed that we didn't have any silverware and so I walked up the buffet assuming that it was there but nope, it wasn't. So I had to track someone down who eventually brought us some silverware. After getting the silverware I started my meal off with the pasta which was really good and should have been called Mac and cheese. My pub fish was also pretty tasty even if it felt like a somewhat large fish sticks and then the rib may have been the best thing on the buffet as it was juicy and flavorful. Where my meal fell flat was on the shrimp. They were not cleaned and so I was left deveining them myself which I found to be weird. I mean I get peeling them myself but deveining is a much dirtier process. Finally after I had deveined all of my shrimp I popped one into my mouth. It was absolutely disgusting. You know how shrimp has a somewhat firm texture? This one didn't and started to fall apart in my mouth and I quickly spit it out and left the rest there. Boy am I glad that I deveined all of them first. On my next trip up to the buffet I ended up getting another rib, some potatoes au gratin as well as the freshly carved prime rib. The meat ended up being cooked properly and was tasty and somewhat fatty (hey it is prime rib after all). After finishing that I tried the potatoes which looked both cheesy and delicious. Man what a disappointment they were. There was next to no taste to them and I could have sworn that the cheese sauce was watered down. Another member of my group concurred with me and we both left a large amount on our respective plates. For the rest of my three trips to the buffet I confined myself to things that I thought would be safe, namely the salad bar. They ended up having a good salad bar and I really enjoyed the choice of romaine lettuce or mixed greens as as well as the Parmesan cheese, vegetable selection and Caesar salad dressing. Other members of my group were raving about the bacon on the salad bar which seemed to be real chopped up bacon. Unfortunately I didn't have any though and couldn't comment on it myself. The bottom line for me is that I wouldn't head back here again in the future. While I left full and thought that some of the items were good, there were too many that were disgusting or tasteless for me to justify another visit. read more

I stayed for Thanksgiving weekend at the resort. What a treat! The resort, the view, the hospitality. The service at the restaurant was good, unfortunately the food was not great (except for the chocolate cake for dessert!) I ordered a half rotisserie chicken and it was under-cooked. I ended up asking to send it back saying it was not cooked through and they said that was the way it looked and it was cooked. Hmmm. This gets 3 stars because the chocolate cake, and I'm not usually a fan was absolutely amazing. I got another piece the next day! After having brunch there this morning (and meals at two of the other casino restaurants yesterday), I can safely say that this is by far the best food at the resort, reminiscent of the breakfasts at the nicer Embassy Suites. There's a made-to-order omelette bar, a Bloody Mary Bar, a delectable variety of fresh fruits, blintzes, waffles, and biscuits, as well as sausages and chicken fried steak. As nice as breakfast can possibly be in a hotel/resort. read more

There is a reason you pay first. I visit a lot of buffets, in casinos and in the real world. This was by far the most overpriced buffet I have ever been to. The food wasn't terrible but most of it I didn't wanna try and the rest was far from tasty. The roast turkey was good. I would give this buffet a standard 3.5-4.0 if it cost $9.99 or less drink included. They wanted twice that. The servers were nice but can't think of any other positives. read more

Host at this place was rude and racism!! I'm international student from Asia went there, June 9th 2017, with my African American boyfriend for breakfast. Host : racism/rude I asked for a table and we was waiting for host to seat us, instead she left us standing there without telling anything if she was busy or what. After awhile, I became unsure if the restaurant was opened, so I asked to make sure we didn't come too early. Thank God that she then realized we were waiting (I don't mind waiting for a table, but please communicate with us). Then we was asked to pay $27.51 for two people. For me when I eat out I normally tip 20-30% depend on service, but if a buffet restaurant I normally put trip 15-17%. And I put tip $4.49 which was around 16% from $27.51 HOST LOOKED AT ME AND SAID "TIP...FOUR DOLLARS...." (Her face and tone of voice degraded us). Well, I felt terrible like I did something wrong and I don't understand. This was the first time in this restaurant and I didn't know how the service would be, so I put just 16% tip. Anyway, I told her "I'll leave some cash on the table too". I walked to the table with questions she treated us like that because we're color people!!? However, just only her was rude to us. Server : lovely Our server was a lady. Though she poured water spill out of a glass, she did her best on her job and took care of us well. She said sorry for spilling water and I friendly told her you probably need a cup of coffee to wake you up. We left $5 more tip for this lovely server and I was thinking I shouldn't have put tip at first so I could give all tip to this server total $9.45. Omelet station : good The lady at the station was busy when I went to the omelet cooking station, but she has common sense and told me "I'll be right back with you soon" That was good because I would know I wasn't abandoned like it happened at host station. Absolutely horrible! The food appears to be made by an amateur chef at best. At The Carving Station, the roast beef was so dry it was not even edible. Most of the other dishes, we're just lacking a flavor for the most part. There was maybe two out of the 15 dishes that were anything worth trying. I have eaten at many all you can eat buffets, and this is by far the worst one I've ever had. It is a complete waste of money. read more

EXCELLENT BUFFET! This buffet is fancier than most. They offer elegant choices such as lobster and shrimp lasagna and lobster ravioli. The decor is very nice and there is a votive at every table. Nice for an outing with your boyfriend, husband or significant other. Seriously, next time your at Rocky Gap casino, go to lakeside! Also, the buffet is only 20 bucks a person. Not impressed with the Lakeside Restaurant tonight. We had a birthday coupon which is the only reason we decided to have dinner at the Casino. The hostesses were friendly and professional, and I have no complaints about our server either. Very attentive and she asked multiple times if we needed anything. There were lots of open tables and nobody seemed to have much energy about anything. The food... yikes. To begin, they advertise shrimp and salmon as the highlights. The first time we went to the salad bar, it had no shrimp at all and an nasty empty cocktail sauce bowl. The second time had a new platter of shrimp, but the same bowl without any cocktail sauce. Whoever brought the shrimp out would have had to of noticed this. The salmon was cold and picked over. In fact, all of the food was cold or lukewarm. Even seafood in the hot burner dishes... something is a miss here. The roast beef was overdone and looked like a very cheap cut of meat. The salad bar was barely full, and nobody was keeping up with ensuring that utensils were clean and not cross contaminated. Even the signs indicating the food below were stained and knocked over. This area of the casino doesn't match the cleanest, and neatness I saw on the resort grounds. Very disappointed and very overpriced for what you actually get. I think it's time to close up shop or get a new manager. Yikes! read more

It's a buffet, so expectations were not high. These were met! There's roast beef, sliced on request, but you must coax them to give you enough for a meal! Mostly for the senior citizen crowd who want a night out to the casino. ;-) read more

Overall, the Lakeside restaurant was a good value and the food was not too bad. It was not too crowded and we were seated quickly. We paid 18.99 per person on a Saturday evening. There was no lobster or other "fancy fare" just your basic buffet. The food was good, the staff were excellent. I would consider it a good choice for a basic dinner. read more

The advertised turkey turned out to be turkey ROLL, just like all the delis slice for sandwiches; likewise the ham log. several vegetable dishes were at least average, but overall they seemed just to be canned goods [slightly] heated. Desserts as other have noted looked like offerings at a supermarket baked good section. The mango infused fish was OK, altho not to everyone's liking. Baked goods, rolls, were below average. View is outstanding, what a waste! Service OK to acceptable [it was a buffet]. Noodles & beef flavorless. Absolutely not recommended! Will never be back. I cannot recall paying for a poorer buffet, including college cafeteria. read more
