We stop here occasionally when we're traveling back to our home in NJ after visiting family in Ohio. It's an almost halfway point right off the turnpike. Standard Chinese buffet. Clean. Decent selection. My kids don't like that they don't have fried shrimp. My husband thinks they could have a better seafood selection. read more

The food is pretty standard for an Asian buffet. Usually fresh and hot with a lot of variety, even for those who are looking for more Americanized dishes like macaroni and cheese and fries. The buffet is always clean, as is the entire restaurant. The staff can be iffy. They always make you feel a little rushed. I've seen the waitresses go out of their way, however, to help children and are really good and patient with them. Overall, a nice buffet and good place for families! read more

Buffet is good, it's your typical Chinese Buffet and there is a great selection. I do recommend it if you are hungry and in the area. There is one catch though... I am admittedly not a fan of being engaged by others when I go out to eat. I can be downright anti-social at times, but I deal with it and I'm never rude. I tell you this because I want to be clear that I'm pretty good at not letting society get to me when I go out, I know what to expect and I politely deal with it. What I absolutely cannot tolerate is being stared at by staff, and being tended to incessantly...and I don't mean in a courteous and pleasant way...I mean angry stares and the feeling that I'm being rushed. There is no good reason why a person who goes to a buffet should feel like there's a time limit. It's a buffet, all you can eat. If I want to go in, take my time, and eat for two hours straight, it shouldn't be a problem. *Note: I have never been at a buffet eating for two hours straight, but if I wanted to, I should be able to...and so should you. Being watched by a scowling hostess and/or waitress for the entire time I'm eating is pretty rude and makes anyone that it happens to feel uncomfortable. Having my empty plates cleared within scant seconds of moving them to the side is a tad disturbing. Again, the food is worth the price, and I have no complaints about it. It's the rushed service and 'surveillance' type atmosphere that can be aggravating. By all means, give it a try. Just be warned that you may be watched as you eat, and rushed to do so. read more

For starters, this is by far the worst buffet I have ever experienced. I came in with a group of friends hoping for a good, filling meal. To my disparity I was astonished.by the horrid food and drink. I order a sprite and by the time I was almost finished and down to the ice I looked down in my cups to find a piece of MEAT. Not only was this a piece of literal meat, it was old, moldy, and had what resembled barnacles. White little chunks on the meat. When I was already extremely queasy I called the waitress over to ask her about what I had just found in my drink. She didn't even care. Just got me a new drink without any refunds at all. I'll tell you this was horrible. Even the food was as nasty as you could imagine. This is a horrific place just with 3 people I ended up paying $50 for the buffet. Despite the horrible everything I felt as if I was being rushed and death stared by all of the workers. Hated every second of this place except making fun of it. Never going back again please share this, and be aware of where you eat in Somerset county. read more

My friends and I visited this establishment today. My one friend has a severe seafood allergy. When she went up to get hibachi she told the cook that she was allergic and the that they couldn't come in contact at all with anyone else's food. She said okay and went on to cooking. My friend and I stood and watched as she used the same cookware on everyone's food cross contaminating. My friend told her to forget it and throw it away. The cook gave her an attitude and then went to complain to her co workers. For the remainder of our meal all the workers starred at us making it very uncomfortable. If you eat here make sure you don't complain because it will ruin your meal for sure. read more

Very mannerless waiters. Waiters were looking at us as we write our bill and started pointing fingers when we wrote them 3 dollar tip to round up. They were coming one after another laughing at us. That's very rude and uncomfortable for us. Took the tip out, report it to the manager, and walked out. Never seen this before. Absolutely ridiculous!!! read more

The food was about the same as it always has been, but the service was a little better and more accommodateable than I remember from past experiences. However, I cannot understand why there is no urinal in the men's room resulting in going back out to make sure that I was in the right bathroom. Of course, that would be a very awkward encounter to walk in on another customer pissing in the sink. read more

So I got the buffet, obviously. I pretty much refuse to rate a buffet higher than 3 stars. They all run across the same lines. The things that stand out are decent service, which isn't hard at a buffet, and hot, fresh food. This place have very quick service on drink refills and they were all quite pleasant. I will give them an A for things being hot and a C for things being fresh. Overall, not so bad. I probably wouldn't go back, but I don't frequent buffets very often. Not bad if you are looking to load up for the afternoon or you just have a healthy appetite. read more

Visiting Somerset for the past weekend and this was the only buffet I found. Nothing fancy. Hot and sour soup was so bland. There is no "sushi". Just some rice with shrimp on top. They had animal crackers as desert. Weird. I barely ate. The kids had one plate of food and some desserts. It was cheap and service was ok. Next visit, I don't think we will go back. read more

It's one of the better Chinese buffets. The food was fresh and delicious and the have a made to order hibachi chef for any specialty you might want. I like my lo mein fresh and he cooked it up on the spot. Don't be fooled by the plain looking sign or decor, the food is great. read more

I have been to a lot of buffets but this was the worst one I have ever been to. It was bad enough that the selections were very few....no seafood of any kind, sushi options were mostly the same and weren't replenished, salad bar was not good, some items were very dry....I was sit in the back corner of a small section in a booth I could barely fit in and I'm not a very big person....they never offered to refill my drink....they kept giving me weird stares like I was there too long.....they brought my check before I was finished and before I even looked over dessert items. We come here a lot but recently we've noticed that when their busy, the food sucks. There's multiple things that are empty on the buffet. They barely come and fill up our cups. Plus the soy sauce at our table is completely empty and they don't seem to care. There's dirt and crumbs and smushed food all over the floor. Wont be coming here anymore. read more

Good Chinese food, nice hibachi grill - choose your own food to make a dish right there fresh, and very reasonably priced. Looked ify at fist in the strip mall but I am glad we skipped the fast food and went a little off the beaten path to enjoy this delicious meal! I LOVE THIS PLACE. The buffet is awesome, if you don't get what you paid for it's your fault; it's all you can eat. I love their food and their customer service is one of the best. The waitress will make sure you are well taken care of. They also make sure the food is fresh and not sitting around like some restaurants. I do not get sick after eating their salad bar, they are careful what they do with it. At the check out the person is nice, also when you are being seated you won't have to wait forever. They are right on top of things at this place, I go quite a bit when we do decide to go out to eat. read more

If you're on Yelp and are taking the time to find a good restaurant, then do not waste your time here. I'm still shocked at the name. The Service was friendly and efficient. It is, however, a buffet, therefore the need for true service is limited at best. The food is almost indescribable. I will say my fiancé tried the 'New York strip' that was apparently a meatloaf or Salisbury steak concoction. The 'sushi' is nothing more than California roll (at best), but closer to cucumber/avocado wrapped in seaweed & rice. There is a raw seafood area. I tried the shrimp, which was not only warm but turned to a fishy mush in my mouth. Although I spit the shrimp out, I came home and vomited. True story. The thought of having rotten fish in my system was far too much to sleep on. My fiancé remained stuck on the toilette, w/issues on the other end, for the latter part of the evening. Please do yourself a favor, if u have 9.95 go to McDonalds, where the standards are likely higher and more controlled. Maybe we came at a slow time (Thursday night 8:00pm) because all the food was luke warm and stale...there were a few meats I was a little too nervous to eat. I feel a little gross now, that icky feeling when you hope a food doesn't make you sick. The salmon I had to spit out immediately, it was mushy and almost cold. It was disgusting. Did not enjoy the food whatsoever, if I had not been so hungry I would not have eaten any of it. The workers however were courteous and kind and mindful to fill our drinks and take our used plates, they deserve higher stars but the food deserves none...in my opinion. In a town like Somerset I guess there just aren't many choices. read more
