It was worn and I could no longer press the lever down to rotate the valve for drainage or waste-out. It was right before a big storm and I was worried that I would be unable to drain the pool if needed, due to the rain. Dan came out within a couple days to replace the valve assembly. Reasonable price. The second repair was the pump motor. The day before the big snow storm, the motor started making a terrible noise and I was worried it was about to seize up. With the deep freeze happening, it was imperative that I get the motor replaced quickly. Dan was able to come out right after the snow. I was lucky that the original motor held out through the freeze. It all worked out fine. Dan was knowledgeable about the pool equipment, friendly, and nice to deal with. Will use them again the next time I need a repair.

We had an awful experience with Palmetto Pools. From the start, their service was riddled with…read moreproblems. We contacted the owner, Dan, several times, but all we got were excuses. He never came out to inspect the pool personally. Instead, we had to take samples to a nearby pool supply store, where we consistently encountered low chemical levels. Whenever we raised issues, we were told it was our equipment and to call our builder. We did, and it wasn't the equipment. Our builder even came out to fix other issues that Palmetto wouldn't handle, like a liner that had come out of the track. We sent photos and videos of the problems, such as algae starting in our pool. In response, we were told that if we wanted it cleaned, there would be an extra charge. We already pay over $300 a month, so an additional charge for algae in the skimmer basket made no sense. Almost a 1/2 year- we did give them a chance. I have enclosed photos of the algae and what they left our system. In summary, promises were made but never kept. We've learned our lesson and moved on to another pool company, hoping for better service. Amy

We have been going to Genco for years and was always happy with the service. Last season we had a…read morenew liner put in and it is slipping. I reported it as soon as I noticed it. Never heard back. Recently contacted them and was told that they needed a credit card so that they could bill me for repairing the liner. The liner slipping was the result of shoddy work and I should not have to pay for their workmanship. I knew I would have some issues when I saw air bubbles coming out of the liner when they were installing the liner. I reported this and was told to point to the bubbles in the liner to the installers. I would have thought a manager would have come out and looked at the issue.

I decided to have them install a water heater on March 4th for a total amount of $8,603.12, at that time they required a deposit for $4,301.56 which was paid with my Amex. After the work was completed, the balance was paid on 3/27/26 for $4,630.47. Original amount $8,603.12 approved on 3/4/26 Deposit paid $4,301.56 on 3/4/26 via Amex Balance paid $4,630.47 on 3/27/26 via Amex They have since charge my Amex and Citi cards multiple times, for charges totaling $27,810.87 Citi 3 $4,601.56 2 $386.25 (this was the monthly fee + late fee that never happened) Amex 2 $4,301.56 1 $4,630.57 They wrote me 2 checks that were no good 1 $14,577.18 and 1 $13,233.69 We have been working with them for weeks and it always the same, lies and lies. "I broke down, I have a doctors app, I am at swim meet for my daughter, I am traveling, etc." So far, they have refunded the following Amex 1 $4,630.57 and 2 $4,301.56

Update Jan 2026: Still not responding to me but owner…read more(Hosea) did break into my pool area (jumped fence). He cut pipes to my pool plumbing and left to get parts then never returned. He agreed to pay another company to fix the damage his company caused then write them a bad check. Left me with cut pipes, swamp like pool, and 30k cost to repair! The address of his "business " was a vape shop (now vacated with a bakery next door ) , he had no proper business license and ignores all attempts to rectify situation informally. Don't get taken in; do your research and go elsewhere for pool service.

Sweetwater did, in the end, send the boss down to monitor the pool renovation (to the best of my knowledge), they also purchased the services of a local food truck for a neighborhood event, and extended the pool season at no extra charge. Their pool monitors were always courteous and pleasant. I'm sure Sweetwater Pools efforts to rectify a negative situation resulted in the HOA retaining Sweetwater Pools services.
