Quiet, tranquil, and brimming with history, it is filled with heirlooms and antiques all lovingly and impeccably maintained by our host Anita, who is an utter delight--warm, kind, and attentive. Breakfast is ample and delicious, served on silver and china passed down through the family, in an elegantly appointed dining room, complete with candles and fresh flowers. Our private bathroom had excellent water pressure, something you don't always find in older homes. The towels were fluffy, the sheets freshly ironed. I loved the lulling sound of bullfrogs at dusk, and the morning chorus of lowing cows. This inn is a gem--truly the best of the Berkshires.

Anita was great to coordinate with about check-in time, showed us around the home and was helpful with activity and dinner recommendations. Her home is maintained beautifully and I was amazed with how neat and clean everything was. Before arriving, my biggest concern was that the rooms and bathroom were not going to be up to my cleanliness standards because let's face it, it is someone's home and it is an older home. This was definitely not the case; everything was spotless in our room and bathroom. Breakfast in the morning was nice, we were able to chat with the other guests and Anita's food was delicious. She is very accommodating to any dietary restrictions and her presentation is lovely. Breakfast is served on China and silver that was passed down through her family. If you interested in the history of the Inn, just ask her- she's happy to share. I would definitely recommend a stay here if you're planning a trip to the Berkshires. It felt quiet, cozy, romantic and relaxing- a welcome weekend away from New York!

We meandered through well labeled trails and enjoyed the spectacular pathways of beauty. Yes, covid masks are required in the prep area and the number of skiers is limited. It is a little gem in the Berkshires, with a nice network of well-marked, well-maintained trails, and enough topographic and scenic diversity to give a good workout in a pretty New England forest. The prices are very reasonable, and equipment is available for sale or rent. Bathroom facilities are available in the house, and the B&B dining room is a nice place to take a break between runs on a cold day or settle in for a snack and a cup of hot cocoa before going home. The proprietors, Linda and Dave, are very hospitable, as B&B hosts tend to be. Condition reports are posted on their website, and I have found them to be accurate. My son and I have been there several times, and it is one of our favorite places, well worth the trip for us to get in a fun day of skiing at a nice place with friendly, welcoming hosts.

I already had a dinner date later in the evening, but many of the food selections looked like they were made from scratch and quite tempting. It was only a moment or 2 later when everybody at the bar engaged us directly into their conversations. I thoroughly enjoyed how friendly and home-like this place was, even though we almost drove by. if you like restaurants that are built into charming homes, except you, as you are for whatever you're wearing, and appreciate the fact that you went out of your way to go to their special little space, then you are in the right spot. I did not read any of the reviews about how people felt about the actual food, but our drinks were on a special list, and they were quite delicious. Would I take another trip back here just to try the food because everybody was so special in this beautiful New England space, absolutely. And, sidenote, if you want to know where to go, hiking, so you too can have an excuse to come out this way let me know :-)

A very charming, eclectic step back in time where you'll feel like a highway traveler seeking refuge from the storm. A small, six seat bar, in a charming lounge area welcomes visitors coming in the rear/side entrance. There are two dining rooms, beautifully decorated using classic New England antique fixtures and materials. The owner, Barbara, is typically onsite, and has been operating the inn for more than 20 years. The menu has a nice mix of different foods. I had the New England Chicken, which was delicious, and presented nicely. The wife had the Greek Stuffed Salmon, and stated that it was very good. The bread rolls served appeared to be microwaved, as was the pastry that we were served for dessert, both were kind of disappointing. The service was okay, but not real attentive. The Keoke Coffee that I enjoyed was potent, as I like them to be. The staff were a lot of fun, and the other customers were friendly and talkative. The menu prices were different than their website shows, and they really need to be updated to prevent misunderstandings. We certainly had a good time here, and will return.

Doug and Jim go above and beyond with their hospitality always with a smile and friendly gesture. Jim's breakfast desserts are phenomenal and the Happy Hour with live music is superb with Doug and Jim both lending their voices to entertain guests in collaboration with a pianist that truly brings back the concept of Parlor music into the 21st century. The musical ambiance at breakfast is also reminiscent of my own playlists, with a mix of classical, new age, and soft instrumental listening. The historic inn retains much of its charm with original details throughout - truly a step into New England country charm.
