Despite payment, the office keeps sending invoices. confused patients will overpay. unethical business practices.

iI went to this clinic bexause of an irritating scalp itch. Checking in was efficient, then Dr. Kern examined my scapl, took a scraping for a lab test and promised follow-ip based on the lab report. A week later and at 8:23 a.m. somebody from this clinic called. I normally cannot answer the phone that early in the day (I'm 88 years old). They left a message BUT IT WAS SPOKEN IN SUCHA HURRY I COULD NOT UNDERSTAND IT, SO I CALLED AND HAD TO LEAVE A MESSAGE REQUESTING A CALLBACK. iT TOOK THEN 2 DAYS TO CALL ME BACK. I asked if medication was indicated and upon a long hp;d the nurse came back and promised the4 doctor was going to send a prescription to my pharmacy. THEY DID NOT. I CALLED TWICE AND LEFT MESSAGES TO NO AVAIL. Os thjis a medical clinic or a club of quacks? I advise furure patients to avoid this place. read more

Booked an online appt a month away as a new patient, choosing "any provider" at the Gurnee location. Get a call less than 24 hours before the appt. saying the "provider" was not going to be there. The only option for another appt. they offered was over a month away. The person that called said that was the only option they had at all of their locations. The caller was completely disinterested in helping out. Probably just wanted to get another cancellation call off of her to-do list. Wonder if patient care is just like customer service there. Office experience was bad. Before the current owners it was such a good place. So many better options out there.

I selected this clinic because of a frustrating chronic skin condition that was a cosmetic concern and Dr. Arroyo credentials were so impressive. She did ultimately diagnose me and the treatment is on-going and results are pending. My initial encounter, however included me abruptly stopping her and asking her if she could at least give me the respect and LOOK at me while she addressed me. She literally rolled into the room writing and was about to roll out! Her response was.. "I have to do my work" or something to that effect. Really??? Well I had a response for her and yes she was much more respectful on my subsequent visit. read more

My husband and I had a scheduled appointment with Dr. Arroyo. She was abrupt, rude and had a dismissive and condescending attitude. We also had an unpleasant experience with their front desk staff at the Gurnee office. They were rude and unfriendly. I wanted a full body examination, but didn't get it, because the scheduler made a mistake and didn't schedule it that way. After waiting for months for an appointment with the doctor, not the PA, she would not give me the full exam. I have a blood disorder, and my hematologist at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN, said I should get an annual dermatologist exam, as I am more likely to get other cancers. Dr. Arroyo dismissed my doctor's advice, saying that I couldn't get skin cancers because of the blood disorder. I don't think she knows anywhere near what is possible with my blood disorder than a Mayo physician. What a terrible attitude. Then, she said that we could only see her, the doctor, every other year! What nonsense. We pay to see the doctor, not the PA or nurses. I will never go back to her again. read more

I saw Dr. Martha Arroyo and have been following up with PA Alyssa Clapsaddle. I cannot say enough good things about LS Dermatology at the Gurnee location. They helped me get my Inverse Psoriasis diagnosis. Alyssa is always available on short notice to see me or return phone calls. She is down to earth and explains things in ways that I can understand. She also takes her time to explain things and I don't feel rushed during my appointments here. read more

I chose 1 star because it was the least I could do. How I found Lakeside was because I was referred directly by my insurance. I called and left a message and a young lady called me back. I confirmed my insurance with her and she booked the appt. Fast forward to today I brought my daughter in for her appt. and after handing over the insurance card was told they don't work with the insurance. I was apologized to for the NEW girls mistake and told my only other option was to do a cash payment of $155 NOW. My daughter is a senior and has been suffering with this sudden inflammation of either psorias or eczema (starting at her scalp and making it's way all over) or both and we had been to the ER, clinic, and primary care physician and we're told we had to see a Derm. After paying at the front desk (where we spent most of our time there) we were taken to a room. The doctor and assistant although pleasant spent a total of 10 MINUTES with us. After explaining that the fact their office booked our appt knowing the insurance and finding out that we instead had to pay out of pocket was part of our grocery money they laughed at us, and the prescriptions that were prescribed were void because the pharmacy would not take it from their office...making my daughter's missed day of school, the $155, and our time all wasted. I was looking forward to my consult with Dr Arroyo, as her credentials are impressive, even amongst physicians. However, I won't be back. She's the most condescending doctor I've ever interacted with. I would trust her as a physician, but the way speaks to her patients is completely unprofessional. I sincerely hope she was just having a bad day. read more

Lets start by saying I've been a patient for a while now and I've been to both locations Gurnee and lib to see Dr Arroyo or any pa. The staff is clearly rude and unprofessional. the front desk lady Mary ignored me for 5 mins looking at her computer not even acknowledging I was there. then when she finally spoke to me she kept cutting me off. dr A's ma Alyssa is loud and obnoxious. she is always what seems to be calling her co workers stupid etc in the back and you can hear it all the way in the front. I briefly saw dr park but the ways she speaks about patients ie swearing calling them names etc is super inappropriate. anytime I have an appointment with dr Park it gets rescheduled or moved up or down. due to her "family emergencies" etc you can tell she is entitled and feels as though we as patients are lucky to have her there. read more

Dr. Arroyo recently saw my father who was visiting from out of town for an emergency. She not only took care of the emergency but also diagnosed 2 skin cancers! I highly recommend! read more

The worst patient relations I've experienced. I went to their Libertyville on 09/17/2019 to have a wart removed. It was immediately clear that the assistant who did the treatment did not do an adequate job. I couldn't get through to the office manage for about a week because the office has no after hours voicemail and the answering service is directed not to take non emergency messages. When I finally spoke to someone who identified themselves as a supervisor they gave what seemed to be a sincere apology and asked if they could schedule a time for me to come back and make this right. I went back in on 09/27/2019 with the full expectation that I would not be billed for the second visit. However, I am being billed for both visits (approximately $200.00 each) which is completely inappropriate. I reached out to them several times and asked to have the person who scheduled the second visit contact me to no avail. I am currently working with Condell Patient Relations and so far they aren't being very responsive either. read more
