This trip was pretty miserable from start to finish. For starters, people should be aware that Lake…read morePanorama is a PRIVATE lake and is not open to the public. No boating, nothing. The address given for the motel is actually the "front desk" (which is only open until 5pm). Then you drive to the motel from there, which has no on-site support. The power went out our second night, motel wide, and there was nobody to report it to. Nobody at the front desk, and only voice-mail when you call the number. It was out for around 5 hours, beginning just before dusk. My elderly mother requires a cpap to sleep, so just going to bed wasn't really an option. A bartender at the main lodge assured us this happens "all the time" and usually only lasts about an hour, so we stayed. In the morning, I asked for a refund for that night only, but was told that the power outage wasn't their fault and they were refunding all guests 25%. The insistence that this wasn't their fault is probably what pushed me into 1 star instead of 2. A back up generator at the motel or somebody available to answer the phone when things like this happen... yes, that responsibility is on you. DO NOT RECOMMEND!
