What is not acceptable is making customers feel mocked or disrespected for bringing a legitimate food-quality issue to an employee's attention. She attempted to underpay me for two days of work based on her personal emotions, which is unprofessional and ILLEGAL. Compensation for labor is a legal right, regardless of an employer's feelings. To make matters worse, Anna asked me via text if I thought I "deserved" to be paid for the two days I worked. When I returned her uniform the next day, she attempted to give me $45 in cash which left me rightfully upset, especially by the lack of compassion or understanding in the way she was treating me. As if this is something I deserved? I left in tears without accepting the underpayment. Thankfully, my partner, who overheard the situation, went to the location and was able to reconcile and get the full pay I was owed. Regardless of personal frustrations or issues, it's an employer's responsibility to ensure employees are properly compensated. If you're not ready to deal with employees you should not be a business owner. This was a despicable experience, and I would not recommend working for this business.
