We had great food and excellent service. We celebrated my daughter's birthday at the beginning of a snow storm, so the place was quiet. But everyone from the host, bartender, to server made sure that my daughter felt very special and celebrated. Wine choices were good, we loved the zucchini chips, everyone enjoyed their meals. I found this place to be an excellent dining experience for lunch on a Friday. Nice environment, excellent service and the food was above par. We had the trio dip and found it better than many Mediterranean restaurants. My wife had the ahi tuna tacos and were incredibly good. And I had the shrimp Po Boy which was on point. But the highlight were the onion rings tower. Best onion rings ever. The location is very nice and prices were reasonable. read more

Much better than the last owner! A few suggestions but they did a great job. Waiter was excellent and food was top notch. Next time add more pasta (rigatoni) to the huge amount of sauce! There were 10 of us that dined at Lake House and the food and dessert was very good. I had the 1/2 roast chicken with the mashed potatoes and vegetables and my husband had the wagyu burger and the sundae for dessert. So much better than the last couple of years when ownership change. Prior owner returned and food, service and atmosphere back to the previous high level. Oyster Po Boy was perfectly cooked. Great to see the Cuban Sandwich back on the menu. Tuna Tacos were great. No changes to decor - same as it has been for last few years. We were the only patrons of this restaurant at lunch time on a Saturday and food took an hour to come out (all simple meals) and the quality was just "ok". The restaurant itself is beautiful with a lovely water view but that is all this place offers. read more

Heard good things about this place and the menu looked good! But ultimately, never had my server show up. I was excited to try out the new menu so we waited 10 minutes for the server to come. Then we waited another, another, and omg you won't believe, another 10 minutes. We waited a total of 40 minutes for our server to come. We asked the hostess to send someone and they never came. We left extremely disappointed and upset. Can't tell you if the food is good or not but I can tell you that they have utterly horrible service. read more

I want to like this place. Great location. But the food is just not good. Appetizers are ok. Service is ok. Definitely not worth the price.

My parents, boyfriend and I went here for my Mom's 60th! We enjoyed the atmosphere, same as Port City Club but just a nice mix of fancy and casual. We each ordered a glass of wine and then a calamari for the table. The wine was yummy. Our server (Jay i think?) was super friendly and kind. Calamari came out, but was so salty we couldn't eat it. They explained this was just a one time error with a mix up in the kitchen, so we hope to try it another time! Our server was very nice about it though and we swapped it for the truffle mushroom flatbread which was great! Ordered a sea bass, shrimp saganaki, wagyu burger and chicken piccata. Also, had a side of risotto and creamed spinach. Everything was pretty good and well cooked! the french fries were especially a highlight for me. Food is on the pricier side but portions were great and it's a great date night or celebration spot. We will keep it in mind for future celebrations! read more

First time back since the new ownership took over and can definitely say we will be back! Outstanding service and food.

Went on Saturday night and sat at the bar. We got the Burrata appetizer and it was amazing, very fresh and full of great flavors. For dinner we got the carbonara guanciale (egg, linguini, black pepper) and split it - wow! Such a great dish, highly recommend and it is a big enough portion for two. The service was great and very friendly, and we got to see some familiar, friendly faces from when it was Port City Club. The rest of the menu looks great, can't wait to go back. read more

Our first visit here was so enjoyable, we returned a week later ... four of us had great service, creative and tasty food and a wonderful experience. This place is a hidden gem. I hope those discouraged by the restaurant that previously occupied this space visit Lake House. Wonderful atmosphere, food and service. It's on repeat on our calendar. read more

I had high hopes. Sat at the bar, ordered food and drinks. Food was decent, service was terrible. We sat with our empty dishes in front of us and empty drinks for 30 minutes. When they finally did come back, I anticipated at least an acknowledgment and nothing. Very disappointed. read more

We attempted to make a reservation for four people online and it said 7:30 PM was the soonest available on a Friday night. When we arrived to the restaurant, it was the most empty I've ever seen it. We ordered our drinks and one of our friends asked for an espresso martini, and requested they make it with plain vodka instead of vanilla flavored. The server said let me go ask, and when he returned, he said that they could make it that way, but if he didn't like it, he could not send it back. He also said that they told him that it would not taste good that way. Yep, you read that correctly. The drinks tasted fine but a little overpriced. We ordered the whipped goat cheese as an appetizer as well as the calamari. Both were great. The entrées not so much. We ordered the eggplant Parm and it was inedible. I was not able to cut it with my knife. Another person in our group ordered a steak that he was happy with. Someone else ordered the short ribs and said they were fine, but not worth the price. The veggies that came with it were hard. The manager came over and we gave her honest feedback. Unless something drastic happens with this place, it will not make it sadly. read more
