The nice young guy in the pro shop mentioned that to us, but by the time we got there a couple hours later we'd forgotten what he said and lost balls in the canyon trying to make it to the green for longer hitters, and then couldn't find our way to the cart path. Speaking of which, the way to the cart path needs to be much more clearly indicated. That's probably a large reason people get slowed down!

They are working very hard on tee boxes, greens, places that dry up. And the topography on this course makes the "dry up" a very real thing and they are working incredibly hard to keep that at bay. From the top down in their personnel, they are all working to make this the best experience possible for anyone who comes here. Do not blame management for a difficult course. This will keep you humble at times, but that's part of the challenge. From the people who meet and greet you at the carts to the people in the pro shop, the food and beverage people downstairs all the way to the top of management...there is a new purpose and vision for what this course can be and they are stopping at nothing to make sure it happens. Looking forward to changes from now to the end of the year as well as next year. They just keep chipping off things that haven't been dealt with for a while. Well done BMR!

Great golf course; worst golf experience of my life. Course personnel completely mismanaged the…read moreplay. Waits of 5-10 minutes between shots, longer on tee boxes. They allowed a couple with their 8 year old son to attempt shots and then run retrieve his ball and hit again. This happened multiple times while we waited to hit behind them. When discussed with the Marshall, he just blew it off. Saw him at hole 4 then never saw him again. They provided carts to a group who weren't playing the course and they just drove around the course taking in the views. Totally disrupted play as they drove the opposite direction on the paths. They allowed a 6-some to play together. When we provided feedback at the clubhouse requesting to speak with the general manager they gave weak condolences and blew us off. That was the most expensive miserable round of golf in my life. Though I love the course I will never play there again.

Super hot with no shade. Quality of the green was bad too. Divets, weird hills and slopes, soggy grass and greens. One of my kids slipped and got covered in mud. They have a golf cart ready for you when you park your car. The golf crew are all friendly and courteous. The views are pretty. Our afternoon on the range was an enjoyable one.

During the 2025 golf season the course was in the best condition it had been in in years. It looked good; it was being mowed. Improvements were being made. But the pro left. Jump to mid May 2026. The course does not look good at all. So many areas not currently being mowed. Course looks unkempt. And the teeing areas? Still a mess. Most need to be rebuilt and expanded so there's more room to move the markers. But...they continue to look shabby. And don't get me started on their ponds - reed filled and unattractive. Can't believe course ownership gets away with charging what they do given the conditions. This is not an elite course that should be charging elite green fees. But it's a captive summer audience so there's no incentive to match course conditions to setting. Next time you play BM make sure you register your concerns with the clubhouse. They need to hear from players. We're all paying too much for the experience we're getting.

Stay and play at Kahler Mountain. We've made this a regular stop on our golf schedule for a few…read moreyears, playing a round in Wenatchee or Leavenworth and returning to stay at Kahler Glen to play a round or two. It's close enough to Leavenworth for dinner in town and there is a fine restaurant on site, but check for open dates. It's an enjoyable course with a lot of sloping hillside holes and trees bordering the fairways.

I'm surprised I don't have more photos from Bear Creek because I've played here at least once every…read moreyear for the last Five or six. This is golf in the Methow and it's a local treasure. It seems to improve a little bit every year and it's always friendly and accessible. We played this time on a Friday afternoon, before a scramble scheduled for 4 pm, and pretty much had the course to ourselves. It's challenging but fun, with lots of elevation changes, hidden targets, and pretty views.
