I purchased an inexpensive ($27) pool cue package about two weeks ago and have only played 5-6…read moregames with it. The upper portion of the cue established a rattle of some sort. Each time I hit the cue ball it was thought there was a split in the wood or something was loose, obviously a defect. I went in today to the Moses Lake store to exchange it, possibly upgrade it. I talked to the polite counter person who said they would need to call a manager to the front. While waiting I went back to see if there was another one like mine. There was not so I decided to upgrade to a significantly higher quality set, $90. I got to the counter to finish the return and new transaction only to be informed by the manager on duty they do not take returns on pool cues because they are like baseball bats, an "impact" piece of equipment, store policy. Their return policy on their website clearly states no returns on bats and to refer to the "in-store policy" which there was a link to. That policy further defined non-returnable items, nowhere mentioning pool cues. I explained that I was about to purchase something of far greater value with a higher profit margin, to which the manager said "I would get in trouble if I allow this return." I asked for the next level of management's phone number, to which he provided me their corporate customer service number. I then asked for the actual store manager's name because I want to speak with someone locally to resolve this issue, which I got but they are not in today. In the past three years I have spent about $1,000 on merchandise in this store. Seems a shame to lose a customer over an unpublished return policy and $5.00 profit when I was ready to spend far more than that. I'll let you know how it goes.

Prices might be good but the customer service sucks. You can be in the store for over 10 minutes…read moreand not have a single employee ask if you need help or even greet you. If your purchase requires someone to retrieve something from the back, like a pair of shoes, forget it. It's not gonna happen.

Our women's group really liked this beautiful course--it's very pretty to look at the hills across…read morethe way. It has a bathroom on the back nine along with a honey bucket on the front. However, the signage really needs improving. (We noticed that at their Alta Lake course, too.) And the hole with two different greens DEFINITELY needs signs explaining what's going on. The nice young guy in the pro shop mentioned that to us, but by the time we got there a couple hours later we'd forgotten what he said and lost balls in the canyon trying to make it to the green for longer hitters, and then couldn't find our way to the cart path. Speaking of which, the way to the cart path needs to be much more clearly indicated. That's probably a large reason people get slowed down!

And he's at the age where a belt goes with the uniform. So I called Big 5 first thing, and Kylee (spelling?) answered the phone. I briefly asked if they had youth belts in stock right now. She was nice, had a helpful tone in her voice.. she said that according to their website they did but asked if she would like me to go check. And she put me down for a moment, and gave me detailed info about what colors were in stock, and different brands. She seemed genuinely to help me. And that goes along way these days. Thank you Kylee for taking the time to help me before I drove 20 miles to come check out your store !

I can try on clothes at home and bring them back if they don't fit. If it's using the changing room... then clean it!!! Take care of you customers.
