Worst experience ever! Zero communication! The service I…read morerequested was to have the battery replaced and oil changed in my 2005 Honda Civic. It took 3 hours and cost me $428.00. My appointment was for 1pm. My car wasn't moved from where I parked it until 1:25. I thought once they had my car in the garage and had a look at it that they would come out to the waiting room to give me my options. Instead, they installed a $254 battery; they thought this was ok for a 20yo car. There was no communication with me regarding anything until 2:45 when Brian came to the waiting room to inform me of $2000 worth of work that my car needed, which included $761 for 2 rear struts. I never asked for a full car inspection. I thought I would not be able to leave, but I was informed the battery was not yet installed. I didn't get out of there until 4 pm. Once I arrived home I took a closer look at my receipt and saw that I was billed $85 for a "charging system test" which I did not ask for, nor was it necessary. I then looked under the hood and saw that even though they had my car for 3 hours, they couldn't take a minute to do a courtesy top-off to the power steering fluid and brake fluid, but instead left them at below the low mark. The AAA battery they installed had a black date sticker of 6/24; a one-year old battery.

Absolutely Outstanding Service at Dante Auto! - My Fuel Issue Fixed Fast and Fair!…read more From the moment I limped my sputtering vehicle into Dante Auto in Oshkosh, I knew I was in good hands. I was experiencing a frustrating fuel issue that was making my daily commute a nightmare, and honestly, I was bracing myself for a lengthy repair and a hefty bill. Instead, I received nothing short of five-star service that truly exceeded all my expectations. The staff at Dante Auto were immediately welcoming and attentive. They listened carefully as I described the symptoms my car was exhibiting, and they got it into the shop incredibly quickly. I was kept informed throughout the diagnostic process, and within a reasonable timeframe, they had pinpointed the problem. What truly impressed me was the mechanic who took the time to explain everything to me in clear, easy-to-understand language. He didn't just tell me what was wrong; he showed me and explained the potential causes and the necessary steps for the repair. This level of transparency was incredibly reassuring and made me feel confident in their expertise. He even broke down the cost of the parts and labor beforehand, so there were absolutely no surprises when it came time to pay. Speaking of the bill, I was absolutely thrilled with the final price. Considering the speed and efficiency of the repair, and the thoroughness of the service, the cost was exceptionally fair - truly a breath of fresh air compared to some of the horror stories I've heard about auto repairs. To have my fuel issue resolved completely and correctly, all in the same day, for such a reasonable price is simply fantastic. It's not just about the quick fix and the fair price, though.
