This guy (Loren) doesn't deserve a star but to get through this post I'll give him a 1. Had an…read moreappt to pick up a vehicle he towed and he isn't there!! A call to see when he will be back leaves us hanging as he doesn't know. So we wait for as long as we can since we don't live in Town. We are a 1/2 hr away when he calls but he cannot be there in a 1/2 hr and gives us a time of 4 pm. Unfortunately, we can't make it back at that time due to work. So we try to set something up for the next day. Nope, he can't do that! Doesn't know his schedule? We call in the am and get an appt time for that morning and we are again on time for this appt. As he is writing up the bill he charges us an extra day - WHAT! Tow charge $150. RT $75. Storage $150. AND now he won't accept a card - CASH only. Great! As we are leaving to get the cash he says, "YOUR SON SHOULDN'T HAVE DROVE DRUNK!" Yea no shit but who are you to say that!! I don't feel confident to leave, thinking he may go somewhere to allow another days charge, so I call the Police to see if they can help me out. They really can't but do suggest I keep track of all correspondence with this guy and maybe small claims can help since this is a civil matter. I get the cash at Kwik Trip just up the road. Come back and he is gone. We wait 15 min for him to come back. Loren comes in and is super friendly now. Did the Police call him?? Anyway - $390 later we get the vehicle. His last comment to me was, "unfortunately this stunt is going to cost your son $10,000 when it is all over (meaning the fines, ins, etc...). My last comment to him for the day was, "yep and you had to make things just a little worse for him!" Thanks but no thanks - being a business owner should not allow you to inconvenience people and take advantage of someone who is already down. Sure charge for the tow - even charge $50 more than a normal in Town charge but NOT the exuberant fees we had to pay. So I am working on my small claims case and this review is my start. I attempted to call Loren to see when he picked up the car exactly and he did not time stamp the pick up. Hmmm? He then hung up on me claiming he had nothing more to say regarding this conversation. I have reached out to the Police again to see if they have a time of when the vehicle was towed. They are emailing me the information they have so we will see.... Did they actually tow the vehicle since the keys were in the car? Was the vehicle actually picked up Sunday? 1st lesson is obvious. 2nd lesson is don't allow these businesses to cash out on your misfortune. Just want to add that Loren was so unclassy he let me know he bought a vehicle for $120,000 so running a business ain't cheap. Since he is the business owner he can charge whatever he wants. WOW!! 1 star is too kind for this guy.

Loren and his wife were extremely rude and hung up the phone several times when asked for details on billing. Loren promised to do work that he had no intent to deliver on. We were charged over and above normal cost. Our unit was towed against our approval and held for ransom. There are other reputable companies in the area!!

They say "well let you know" Take a whole 34 hours to get my "quote" They tell me a dozen other things "wrong" with the car, then give me a "quote" of $3250. Mark up the price of parts by about 3x. I say NO, then they tell me that the inspection will cost $150 AT NO POINT DID THEY COMMUNICATE THEY WERE DOING AN INSPECTION AND IT WOULD COST ME AN ENTIRE DAY OF PAY AVOID THESE SCAMMERS Not to mention they're literally giving gift cards away if you give them good reviews.

Worst experience ever! Zero communication! The service I…read morerequested was to have the battery replaced and oil changed in my 2005 Honda Civic. It took 3 hours and cost me $428.00. My appointment was for 1pm. My car wasn't moved from where I parked it until 1:25. I thought once they had my car in the garage and had a look at it that they would come out to the waiting room to give me my options. Instead, they installed a $254 battery; they thought this was ok for a 20yo car. There was no communication with me regarding anything until 2:45 when Brian came to the waiting room to inform me of $2000 worth of work that my car needed, which included $761 for 2 rear struts. I never asked for a full car inspection. I thought I would not be able to leave, but I was informed the battery was not yet installed. I didn't get out of there until 4 pm. Once I arrived home I took a closer look at my receipt and saw that I was billed $85 for a "charging system test" which I did not ask for, nor was it necessary. I then looked under the hood and saw that even though they had my car for 3 hours, they couldn't take a minute to do a courtesy top-off to the power steering fluid and brake fluid, but instead left them at below the low mark. The AAA battery they installed had a black date sticker of 6/24; a one-year old battery.

Explaining finances were tight and cosmetics were not our main concern, Darren asked if we had a few minutes and he was able to pop it out and aside from a small scratch in the paint, looks as good as new! For a company to have someone like Darren working there, I know they are ethical and are looking out for the customer. I will bring any auto work needed to Tonys, knowing I will get a very fair deal! Thank you Darren!

I was told I would receive updates twice a week, but they never reached out as promised. I had to contact them myself multiple times just to find out what was happening with my vehicle. When I was initially told my vehicle was ready for pickup, I discovered that only one of the two repairs had actually been completed. They were quick to take responsibility and cover the additional rental car expenses, which I appreciated. Unfortunately, when I went back the second time, I noticed that part of the bedside was still visibly bent, although it had been repainted. I was initially told that the area was simply part of the vehicle's normal body shape. I had to point out the significant difference between the two sides, show them the bent support piece underneath, and provide photos showing what the vehicle looked like before the accident. There were also issues with the decal that had been installed. It was placed incorrectly and was very noticeably crooked. They eventually corrected everything, but the entire repair process took approximately three times longer than I was originally told it would, largely because the work had to be corrected after the initial repairs. My insurance company referred me to this shop, but based on my experience with the communication, attention to detail, and quality of the initial repairs, I would not personally recommend Gerber to others.
