We enjoyed our time here! The food is very yummy! And I think the best part is the service but don't get me wrong, it's not that the waiting staff went out of their way to help or anything - they did what they could and beyond, but what impresses us the most is that they don't over attend to you and make you feel uncomfortable. They attend to our need as we requested and never disturb the table too much so we can actually enjoy the food and our company. It's so rare to have these days! All their food was exceptional but I would urge you to try the lamp lahpet! Super tender and flavorful- definitely give it a go if you don't mind lamb!!

One of my favorite meals during my visits to London last year. I was in Shoreditch and decided to have dinner here. Easy enough to get a table when you're dining solo. The cocktail list is splendid and I ordered the Smokey Monkey cocktail along with the namesake dish and the shan noodles. Generous portions and moderate price point. I loved the combination of mango, chilli and smokey whiskey in the drink. And I enjoyed lahpet (pickled tea leaf salad) for the first time. Everything was delicious and I highly recommend it!

I've been wanting to try this place for years. I always come during the holidays but they're always closed between Christmas and New Years. The place was busy but no wait. We got lucky! Service was good. The food was amazing! We tried the tea leaf salad, coconut noodles with chicken, pork & mustard green curry and cassava cake. The coconut noodles was super flavorful. The pork and mustard green curry was great over coconut rice (a side order). Pork was a bit over cooked so a bit dry, but the sauce made up for it. Tea leaf was good, but nothing extraordinary compared to other Burmese restaurants. Cassava cake was delicious- so moist! The place is trendy but had lots of seating. Some tables are big for big parties. Outdoor seating is available too. Would come back the next time I'm in London!

Good place to try Burmese cuisine! We tried tea leaf salad, paratha, noodles, and some desserts -- all the dishes were pretty tasty. They have cosy inside and outside seating. The service was really nice.

Very good restaurant with a combination of tasty rice bowls and noodles with either meat, fish, or vegetarian options. Service is friendly and the place is quite cool.

This quaint Burmese restaurant is exactly what I have been looking for..... incredible food that qualifies as more of an experience. First off, the ambience and service were top notch, but the food is what makes this place truly unique. I ended up sampling most of the menu: Paratha, ginger salad, coconut noodles, pork curry, hale masala, and a couple others. Every dish was something special: incredible flavors, quality ingredients, and a creative menu that will likely please and tastes. Even the ginger salad, which to be fair salads don't really hit home for me, was one of the best I've ever had. The main dishes were all unique in their own right. It my first time trying Burmese cuisine and anticipate similar flavors to other south Asian curries/spices, but even with small similarities these dishes deserve their own category. One of the best meals you can ask for, and great cocktails as well.

I am ethnically Burmese, and was traveling in London when one of my friends who lives here told me about this restaurant she wanted to try. We made a reservation for a Friday night at 7pm and came promptly. The restaurant was mostly full at the time we came. We ordered three dishes to share between us, the Shan noodles, the tea leaf salad, and the king prawn curry. Despite the restaurant being a modern take on Burmese food, the menu items were very much rooted in tradition, and all were exceptionally delicious. The ambience is cute and trendy, with the walls and decor in pop out colors. Service was very friendly and efficient, and prices are average for London, about £15 per dish. Would highly recommend, and definitely will be back next time I am in London.

Seriously one of the BEST meals and service in all of London. Our waitress, Sonalika, was incredibly kind and hospitable. The vibe is perfect. The food was delicious. 5 out of 5 stars. And a special thank you to Sonalika for the incredible service!

This place has soooo much potential! The service and location overall are 5/5 but the food is just pretty to look at with no intent of taste. The salad we ordered looked like the chef was just adding random things together in hope of a master piece. If you never had tea leaf salad I do not recommend there's a reason for it. It had a strange taste and which the table next to us also ordered and left untouched after the first bite. If your friends made reservations here and you have to go- I highly recommend the coconut noddles they were good nothing special. The waiter did however recommend getting rice so we did thinking it would be kind of a curry.... yea no rice necessary she was just trying to sell £5 extra- the noddles is enough.

We went for dinner at the suggestion of a friend, and were really pleased with the evening. I'd never had Burmese food before, so can't vouch for authenticity, but can definitely say it was delicious. Best dishes were the fritters and salads. The server was well aware of what was vegetarian, what could be made vegetarian, and what had fish sauce as an option. We got all the veg fritters, and two salads. Fritters didn't look like much but were very tasty, I think the plain tofu was my fave in the end (but only with having other salads around). As others have said, the tea-leaf salad is AMAZING. They put the little shimp on the side so my companions could sprinkle, and I was very close to ordering a second helping of this. Ginger salad was new on the menu and very tasty, conveniently parceled into four salad leaves. Aubergine main was very good although it didn't blow my mind. I didn't eat the meat/fish mains, but my companion said they were very good and would easily rate 4-5*. They had the pork curry and the hake masala, and were very happy with both. Dessert was ice cream, optionally with poached banana. Sorbet was very good, but as a serious banana hater, I wasn't into most of the options. Drinks were reasonable (assuming they brought the right thing, see below), and wines and beer tasty and felt like the right price for the location. A lot of communal seating, although noise was OK on the night we were there. I'm taking a star off because service was spotty. Super friendly and knowledgeable, but just too busy. We waited nearly an hour between salads and mains, which was OK because we were chatting a lot, but it could have been painful if not. I ordered a large glass of wine, was given a small, and charged a large, so there were some slips of service. Had to ask for carafes of water to be refilled, and drinks to be topped off. I think if they added another server to the small dining room, this could easily be a 5* spot, and encourage you to check it out for the fantastic food.

My husband and I ate dinner here Friday night and overall, had a very nice experience. Whilst the food wasn't the best I've ever had, the service was very good which boosted this an extra star. My husband started with the shrimp fritter which had chunks of juicy shrimp embedded in the crust (better than it sounds!) with a lovely tamarind sauce. I got the braised aubergine and he got the pork and mustard green curry. Both came out of the kitchen quickly. The aub was hearty and stuffed with curry, and definitely had some heat to it. It was quite filling but something was missing flavour wise- I wish I could explain what! My husband found his found satisfying as well and was happy there wasn't much fat on the pork neck. I got the tofu salad for takeaway and we got the poached banana for dessert. That is quite interesting as the banana is flame-broiled and has a crispy texture like creme brûlée. The creamy coconut ice cream was a lovely offset to the caramelised banana. Again, not the best dessert I've ever had but satisfying after a spicy meal. I had the tofu salad the next day and really enjoyed that. Nice chunks of tofu and noodles and again a kick that made my mouth water but was quite flavourful. The co-manager spoke to us at the end of the meal and I complimented the service. Rare in London and I hope it continues!

If you're looking for a truly unique and authentic wine experience this is the place. Tony, the owner, is so proud of his store and so passionate about his wine and produce. Everything is fresh and of top quality but at reasonable prices. We started with a glass of their lemoncello and grapefruit prosecco. For someone that doesn't really like prosecco, I loved this. We then ordered a charcuterie board (3 choices for £10) served with crackers and a lovely chutney. We had the salami and special black pepper sausage with tunworth cheese. The cheese was outstanding - packed full of flavour and melted in your mouth. The meats too exquisite - the salami was our favourite for sure! We also had a side of bread and olives. The olives were pure buttery goodness! We couldn't get enough! We also ordered the baby squid in tomato sauce - it was tasty but slightly too fishy for us. Still fantastic quality though. I then had a glass of their Italian rose and a glass of their homemade red. Both delicious, the Rose in particular was fresh and just perfect for a summers day. We couldn't have left happier and every mouthful was a pure delight! We'll be back! :)

We saw that they sold bottled beers, as well as some on draught, so we thought we'd enjoy a peek before dinner. We both had a pint, and it was so fresh and lively that it took about 10 minutes to get our pints. The inside is rustic and inviting. It would be a great spot for the pub crawls we put on for a group we lead. They do offer a large selection of wines, as well as some meats and nibbles. They've only been open a short time, but it's a nice venue that I hope gets some attention, and can expand their beer selection as time goes on. It's my understanding that it is also associated with Trattoria Sapori (same ownership), so I believe it'll do quite well. Check it out if you're in the area.

All of the wines are excellent value and there is a really interesting range of European focused wines to choose from(mainly French and Italian). They also have a really good lineup of local beers. The staff know everything on the shelves and will guide you in the right direction depending on what you like and budget. They also have wines by the glass that rotate regularly and are around the £4-6 mark. They are now doing a simple but really well-executed menu of food: mainly focused on charcuterie, cheese and different flavoured bruschettas. So similar to what the other wine bars are doing around London but a little bit better. Their burrata is large but disappears very quickly from the table... All of their cured meats are delicious too. If you need to get out of the house in the morning it's a great place to read a book/newspaper and enjoy a beautiful Italian roast coffee and some sourdough toast. You can also buy this bread to takeaway.
