They have a map for the studio ready with all the bike assignments right when you check in, which was super helpful. Classes include cycling shoes, a sweat towel, bath towels and shower amenities. Lockers are free and quite large. There was a bit of a bottleneck at the lockers and also in the reception, waiting for the studio to open. There is also a hydration station with two taps for water bottles, which is awesome because most gyms only have one and a line always forms. The studio itself has a good vibe. The lights are low and there's mood lighting. The decor is trendy and it's clean, with sanitizer wipes to wipe down touchpoint after the class. There are mirror on three sides so it's easy to check your form. The one con is that the studio itself is not that big and they definitely have crammed as many bikes as possible into it. The back row is tiered though, so that helps somewhat. The space only can become an issue during the stretch and also I think it restricts what can be done with the weights. The instructor was very approachable and had a school dance throwback playlist ready. She made sure to control the lighting so that it matched the class. She also helped people check their bikes. The class had a fun atmosphere. The change room has three showers. They aren't the biggest, but they are sufficient and have good water pressure. They also provide skoah shampoo, conditioner and body wash. Would like to see the ingredients for the toiletries though. Some good amenities in the changing area including razors, tampons, curling irons and a bunch of hair dryers. Lots of bench space as well that is tiled and built in, which is smart.

Tried this studio out on Class Pass. There's pros and cons to this location. It's kinda a weird…read moreconfiguration because the actual studio is in the basement. They have self check-in, which is always nice. The change room is universal and the overall facilities are not huge, so there's no actual dedicated changing area or stalls. This is why they tell you to come already in your workout clothes, which is fine in summer but not great in winter when a lot of people don't want to be walking around in shorts. There were two shower stalls but they were out of order. One of two sinks was also out of order. There are two bathrooms, each is quite roomy. The coat/shoe area has cubbies, hooks and rubber mats for shoes. There is also a hydration station for filling water bottles and a water fountain. This area needs to be swept between classes as there was tons of debris on the floor, and at this point, no shoes are allowed. All gym equipment is provided except for mats- weights, toning balls, yoga blocks, bands and weighted bars. This is great because some locations do not provide this equipment. The studio itself is a bit strange as it's a giant long and narrow room. It is completely mirrored, but depending on where you are situated, I don't see how the instructor could be in view. The room, though, is more functional than the Smithe location and there was definitely less crowding, which is a huge plus. The instructor, Carla, was really good. She made sure to check if anyone had any injuries and she also made the stretch section more like a yoga flow, so it was less boring than normal. It was not the most difficult class, but it was challenging enough with the heat on.

I first tried Oxygen Yoga during Karma Week. This was something this location did for all West End…read moreresidents and it was to introduce all new clients to unlimited classes for an entire week! So I took advantage of it. I was scared at first because I'm not a fan of Yoga and I've never tried a hot class before. But I am so glad I took the chance! I was immediately introduced at the front desk. The front desk person was kind and not threatening like some other places. She walked me through what to expect and how to sign in. Down the stairs is the room, cubbies, washrooms, water, and lounge area (Note: there are no lockers so leave your stuff at your own risk). Bring your own mats and towel and WATER! Cause you are going to sweat and then some. I tried the Hot Amazing Abs, Legs & Butts by Molly and she is so inspiring. She pushes you to your max but is also really patient and doesn't force you or judge you during the class. If you need a time out, take one. I needed to leave 3 times to refill my water. The class was fast paced and easy to understand. She demonstrates how to do the moves and then walks around to make sure you got it. She also provides a ton of additional exercises if you have an injury. By the end of the class, you are drenched and exhausted but also exhilarated. Molly also checked in with us to make sure we were ok and to drink more water! Since this karma week, I have been back several times. Molly has been my faveorite class/instructor but I'm so excited to try more!

They have fans going for temperature control, although I imagine if you are on the side of the studio where you are in the sun, it probably gets warm fast. They has two instructors at the open house class, which I tried, Kristin and Connie. This was kind of nice because it meant there was always one instructor free to correct people's form. Everyone working here was friendly. I found the method here was more like pilates than other barre classes. The class used lots of equipment and it was all provided (mats, ball, bands, weights, cushions). A nice touch is that towels were provided for working out. There are showers but only one washroom. The locker area is pretty small and there ends up being a bit of a line to change/access them. Since I attended an open house, they had a clothing pop up, mini facials and fresh juice. Epsom salts were given after the class to newbies and a one month deal. Newbies also were strategically placed between people with previous experience at the studio so there was a lot of thought put into making the experience good. Staff and instructors made sure to introduce themselves to newbies and to watch them during classes to provide extra assistance. They also checked in after the class ended. The negatives are that there is a dress code for this studio that includes no shorts and no midriff showing. I appreciate that this policy applies to all genders, but it is also a bit much, especially the shorts part and not great if you overheat easily. It is also a bit comtrary to body positivity. Another thing to note is that there is no instructor doing the moves with you so it is hard to follow if you are a visual person. The instructions are all verbal and that can be tricky.

The instructor was so encouraging and accommodating to new students and explained everything in detail in addition the front desk person did as well, where you could put your things and the bathrooms and shower. After this amazing deep stretch and relaxation course I decided to come again on Class Pass. I had a different instructor but learning how to calm your mind and stretch parts of your body you daily neglect brought me to YOGA ENLIGHTENMENT! Oxygen isn't like regular hot yoga where they slowly build up the steam and humidity until you feel like you're going to pass out at any moment. Oxygen is infrared so the heat is pumped but the humidity and air doesn't change. There are health benefits too but don't ask me to explain them... google can ;)! I crack a sweat only very little while wearing long pants and a tank top or even a long sleeve. This studio offers tons of classes including power vinyasa, Pilates, classes that focus on your core, abs.. I've only dabbled lightly into power vinyasa once but it kicked my butt but also challenged me which was awesome. Oxygen is perfect for yoga newbies (especially to hot yoga) and has great instructors and friendly staff. The space is nice and the shower is a bonus. The deep stretch class at night is the perfect ending to my day, especially as it gets colder.

My friend J went quarter before 3 and I showed up little late when the dance session started. I wish there was a clear instruction before walking in. I was confused whether to take shoes off to change to indoor shoes or go into studios without my shoes and turns out I had to change to indoor shoes after arrival. Next step was filling out application form and if there was any medical history. I was ready for the session once it was finished. There was so much energy and the 90's hip hop was so perfect for this. Everyone wasn't first timers except for me and J. My instructor showed steps from slow speed and then the pace became quicker. It was little difficult to follow the steps and which direction to swing or to bend my legs. I nearly fell for the first 30 minutes , and then fell on the floor because of my poor balance. My only way to catch up is to observe my instructor or other people to improve dance steps. It was a fantastic work out for sure. Because there was only 1 fan, I felt very sweaty and humid in the dance studio. I only paid $10 for the first lesson and it was so worth it. Staff were nice and friendly. **Note: bring your old runners for the dance. Make sure they're clean pair. They have small change rooms so you can change into loose clothes. Water bottle is a must to bring. They even have a water station next to reception desk. I found myself overwhelmed that some moves were more of advanced level. Everyone else moved so fast I couldn't follow their speed. I found myself with a small bruise the next day.

My complaint is that for the boxing classes, you do have to rent the gloves unless you have your own (I have my own hand wraps so I'm not sure if you'd have to buy that as well). For such a high-end place, I would've expected that to be included in the booking.
