Super muddy and lots of puddles for your dog to get covered in mud. I would save this park for when it's extremely dry!

Nah, this ain't it…read more My deep gratitude to the city for curating experiences with dog owners which includes thoughtfully creating a separation between large and small dogs. This is a fairly accessible dog park, and with plentiful dedicated parking, which is really appreciated. Unfortunately, the park smells quite bad (probably because it is well trafficked), but there are also places (at least on the small side) where owners have not picked up after their pups, which adds to the sense the place is not sanitary. The pond is a nice touch, but as above, I worried about the cleanliness of the water. I am so glad the city curates spaces like this, but there are much nicer spaces in the city to take your pup!

To make matters worse, one of the other regulars confirmed that it happens often which was evident by the mounds of glass is random parts of the parking lot. Called the cops. No one came after 30+ minutes. They know and they don't care. Never again!!!! I am new to Houston and this was my biggest fear. Protect yourselves!

Very nice setting with trees and seating areas. Nice friendly fellow dog owners. Located right along the bayou trail and very convenient for people who live in the area to walk to via the trails. There were about a dozen happy dogs in the small dog area the Sunday afternoon we visited. However for those who drive, the main drawback is the parking lot is very small. If you drive there and can't find a parking spot, the next closest parking lot is *probably* at Bayou Parkland (6532 Almeda Rd) and you'd walk your dogs via the pedestrian trails across the Bill Coats bridge to get here; probably a 10 minute walk. A very nice walk on a spring day but probably not in the middle of summer. Some online reviews elsewhere mention part of the dog park floods after rain events. Apparently some construction work has been done to try and alleviate this. I did not see any water retention as we were there on a sunny day but perhaps future reviewers can comment on this.

I remembered hearing about a dog park nearby and decided to come, only about a 5 minute drive from that exit. There is a dedicated parking lot which is nice, however it is a tad small, comparable to the parallel parking lot at Johnny Steele. There's dog washing stations, water fountains, and a neat water feature for your dogs to cool off. There's lots of grass and space for the small dog park. There is a sign stating only dog shorter than 15 inches allowed for the small dog park. There's two park benches and a concrete semicircle bench for seating. All in all, a great place for you and your dog to relax at.

There is a small turfed area where dogs can run around and potty. The front area has tables and chairs for the humans to relax at. Inside they have a ton of doggy treats and a full dog menu. The owner is so sweet and you can tell he truly loves what he does. They have events for various occasions...the last event we went to was their Easter egg hunt and my dogs got a ton of treats! For $9, your pup can have a specialty "puptail" of their choice: The Hawaiian Pawty Punch (antioxidants + almond milk), Doggy on the Beach (savory broth + carrots & peas) or the Mutt Mai Tai (tropical fruits + coconut milk). For a dollar less, you can also order a canned Good Boy Dog Beer. For humans, they serve canned and bottled beverages, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic. We ordered the Doggy on the Beach for our two pups, but after a few sips, they weren't too content with their order. They typically love savory, but this special blend was bland. Though intentions are well, the dog bar could offer a lot more. For one) parking-- there is none, as their lot is used for their patio. Two) They do not sell food for the pups, but they have the potential to expand their menu 3) Due to the limited space, they do not offer indoor seating, and the outdoor seating they do have are three frugal ables with a few seats.

Love this local park in Bellaire…read more From the Nature Discovery Center to the Texas Birdwatching Trail, there are so many interesting finds along the woodsy walk. The Nature Discovery Center was a favorite when my kids were small. Loved the bunnies, the Wiggles and Squirms classes and summer camps. From being summer campers to junior counselors, they really learned a lot about science and nature. They even hosted a booth about eating healthy for their Girl Scout Silver Award during Pumpkin Patch one sunny October weekend. Love birding? Check out the list of bird sightings. Saw a juvenile yellow crowned night heron recently. In some cultures, this is a symbol of good luck and prosperity. Check out the turtles swimming in the small pond along the boardwalk. The park is free to visit. Parking is available both off Evergreen and Newcastle. Enjoy a walk in the woods in Bellaire.

Their hours during the school year (late August - late May) are Tuesday through Thursday, 10am-noon and 4pm-6pm. The surrounding park is open 7 days a week, 5am-930pm. The park is small but lovely. There are lots of little trails that help isolate you from the road/other visitors. I was impressed at how many benches & picnic tables there were throughout the park. Lots of places to stop and rest. A charming fountain. A few signs to let you know about local flora/fauna. A playground for kids. Even if you visit when the nature center is closed, they do have some outdoor cages with animals. There was a bunny cage although I think he was hiding. Also saw a possum -- Blossom was a cutie. There was also a turtle cage but they weren't there (gone for hibernation, apparently). There was also a large cage with doves. So there are some animals to see whenever you visit. Another major plus -- they have outdoor bathrooms! They are separate from the nature center. I always have to pee so this is a big draw for me. There are two parking lots -- one at the north area (by the nature center) and the other at the south area (by the playground). The parking lots are small but if you come early, it shouldn't be an issue. I'm not sure what the street parking situation is in the area.

A bit of a green nature escape among the concrete plazas of inner loop Houston. Decent walking trail, kids play area and tennis court. I have mixed feelings about this park at evening though and it's rather dark at evening. Barely any lights at that time. Be cautious at your own risk and visit the park during daylight hours. It's non discrete and far from pretentious. A good place to get in fresh air and a few laps around the trail. The play area for kids isn't that big, but it's fun enough with various trinkets and slides. The swings for the kiddos and babies are available as well. Lots of joy and a spot to take photos. Grady Park is chill, I've taken the bebe here and we've captured some fun moments of his first experience on the swings and slides.
