The vibe of this place and the people that make it happen every morning are world class. Life situations kept me from making my way to the shop for a year or so, but when I walked in I was greeted with a smile and a "it's been a while!" The coffee is reasonably priced and imo - best in the area. It's consistent and while I'm a sucker for the 12oz cold brew - I've gone off script a few times and have always been pleased. I've got family that comes into town fairly often, and almost every morning they ask to go because they think about it when they're at home in Chicago. There's plenty of seating, tho it's sometimes so bumping (because it's a great spot!) it can be hit or miss if you can stick around and enjoy the vibe. But generally I've had good luck over the years setting up at a table and chatting with friends & fam before a hike, enjoying the morning with my pup doing some socialization training or throwing a few emails around to my corporate overlords. I've seen ads for their evening events and have been wanting to make it to one, but I always seem to see the poster days or weeks after the event! Poetry nights in a space like boon boona seem like an unbeatable vibe, hope to notice & get to one soon. *Parking is also not hard to find at all. There's a free garage down the street at the transit center that is never full, and tons of street parking*

Seattle-Area Boba Shop Review #105…read more I first visited a Tra Viet location in Vegas, not expecting it to be a small chain originating in Washington! On the drive up back from Portland recently, we decided to stop by the original location (and only stand-alone store left in Washington) in Renton, down near the Boeing factory. This boba shop is known for serving drinks in essentially soda cans, complete with pop top. It's a unique concept, but it also means that value is less than competitors since the drink size is much smaller. Still, the quality is pretty high, at least enough to get us to visit based on what we ordered at the Las Vegas location. We ordered two drinks on our visit: Classic Milk Tea w/ Boba ($7.25) - No adjustments are allowed in this drink. The drink has a surprisingly strong malty flavor that pairs with the creamer nicely, delivering a thick and enjoyable experience. I believe the drink is premixed, which is why sweetness adjustments aren't allowed. Unfortunately it is too sweet for my tastes, especially since the boba soak adds even more sugar to the mixture. The ice levels, even at 100%, isn't too much. They use crushed ice that's easier to melt. The boba is of the mini variety, soaked well in syrup. They are actually cooked perfectly for this particular variety - great consistent chew and bounce on each tiny little pearl. I normally prefer full sized boba, but this one is very nice. I think their recipe can only use the mini boba - with the normal size boba at this texture, I would probably call it too firm, but it's perfect for the mini. Milk Tea Rating: 4/5 Boba Rating: 5/5 Jasmine Milk Tea, Less Sweet w/ Boba ($7.25) - This milk tea is very perfume-like with plenty of jasmine flower flavor. With the less sweet option, it's around 50% sweet compared to other shops, which matches up with my tastes. Again, it has good body but no dairy flavor. Overall a solid drink. We actually drank this about 2 hours after the Classic Milk Tea and somehow the boba was exactly the same texture. Usually the pearls start hardening up, but this was still perfect! Milk Tea Rating: 5/5 Boba Rating: 5/5 Usually places like this which focus on gimmicks don't exactly serve the best drinks. Tra Viet seems to be an exception. I'd be happy to return any time I'm down in Renton! Bathrooms - I didn't see any in store, but I also didn't ask the bobarista for availability.

There is interior and a small outside eating area. we debated whether to eat outside or inside decided to eat inside. I found the interior to be clean and welcoming. The tables were quite comfortable. I appreciated that they were both savory and sweet crepes along with baguette sandwiches and salads. Fabulous choice. There was a nice variety of drink choices also. We opted for a couple of savory crêpes and one sweet one along with a couple of lattes and then a coffee Everything was absolutely delicious and the presentation was so wonderful. The coffee was served with a couple of biscuits. I was actually kind of envious of that. I love those biscuits. Next time, right?! I love supporting independent businesses, and I would definitely come here again.

Here for more than 3 years now, Redondo is Renton's place for the sweet AND savory crepe. Coffee drinks are made to order, and don't forget the option of horchata for your latte, or small smattering of Nutella for your dining selection. Be advised, there will be a small wait as they create your dish to order. You can also watch the magic happen live as the staff diligently and caringly make your plate. It's a delicious anticipation to view. For me, I got the berry crepes and a nice foamy decaf latter (presented with a side of Maria's Gamesa biscuits!!!l). Be advised, they are open until 5pm and it can get a little crowded. But thay is a small price for a little bit of warmth, artistry, and a peaceful environment. Come on over for crepes! #redondocoffeeandcrepes

I came on a Saturday afternoon with my son for a lil coffee date. The interiors drew me, and they were just as aesthetic in person. There were quite a few people with laptops considering it was a Saturday afternoon, but plenty of seating regardless. We ordered a golden latte, which had ginger turmeric and oat milk among other things. My son had a steamed milk. And we ordered a smoked salmon croissant. The croissant was fine, but little one wasn't in the mood to eat. Or sit, for that matter. Anyway, great working spot or just to meet with friends! They also offer free tea with food purchase for those working. Would be glad to come back for some remote working.

Even though it was pretty full when we went, there was still plenty of seating available and it didn't feel cramped. The desserts all looked amazing, and I ordered an Italian soda which was really refreshing. The pancakes were great and definitely a highlight. Service was friendly and the wait wasn't too long, which I appreciated given how busy it was. The only reason I'm giving four stars instead of five is the Turkish eggs. I didn't realize the dish would be colder than I expected. I understand that yogurt is part of it, but the eggs themselves seemed like they might have been sitting a bit too long even though I picked it up right away. Next time I'd probably try something different. Overall though, it's a beautiful spot with good food and kind staff, and I'd definitely come back.

The way we both looked at each other as we took our first bite of the char siu banh mi. It reminded us of the hole in the wall place we grew up on. When I came back to try it again on a different day, it tasted more dry and less veggies. Maybe it's just on the staff who are making it. But still yummy! We also tried the small size of the beef stew with bread and my boyfriend liked it. Said he'd wanna try the noodles next time. I tried the flan coffee and salted coffee, i recommend both. My bff and her husband love the original viet coffee. My boyfriend loved the iced peach tea. Had volume, not too sweet and lovely peach flavor.
