I take my dog Maximo here and he loves it! He is a great communicator so the fact that he PULLS me into Lady Di's and doesn't even look back when he goes in says it all. Highly recommended! Also I love that it is independent and family owned and run. Sarah is the best! Also the one negative review isn't fair AT ALL as they clearly specialize in small dogs only. I don't recall weight size limit (just ask them!) but my Maximo is accepted at 20 pounds. Also they do require a day trial test to assess if it's a good fit... BECAUSE THEY ARE RESPONSIBLE HERE!!!! I made an appointment for my chocolate lab to go to daycare at Lady Di over a year ago since it was close to my children's school. After we had met, I received an email that her assistant left and she cannot take my dog. My dog is very friendly with animals and people; furthermore when my dog and I were there for a walk through, no other dogs were present.. it was not due to any behavior and she took dogs his size based on pictures from her website. I recently heard that other dogs were accepted right after our visit. I could understand if a staff member left but I never received a call back advising that she is now accepting new applicants. It makes me seriously wonder whether it was due to the color or my skin and my dogs skin why my dog was rejected. I rarely do reviews and rarely base bad experiences on race, however this has bothered me for over a year especially seeing that dogs were accepted after us. read more

I can't recommend Sarah and her team highly enough. I just left my active 5-year-old Goldendoddle for 12 nights while I traveled to London. They took great care of her while I was away. Sarah had recommended two daycare sessions before travel, so Lola would be used to my dropping her off and collecting her. I knew it was the right place when Lola would drag the leash toward the Lady Di house when we walked there. She was always excited to see Sarah and always passed out when she got home, she had fun there. It gave me great peace of mind while away. read more

I'm sorry to have to say that under new management, I would not recommend Lady Di. This saddens me because I have used her for over 10 years and was very comfortable with the founder. The new manager, Sarah, asked me to pay 100% prior to her providing service. I'd never been asked to do this by the founder. I even offered to pay a portion now and then the remainder when I returned from my trip. It does not seem like a good idea to pay up front for pet services when you haven't had a chance to determine if your animals are well and taken care of properly. I found a different pet sitter and will not use Lady Di again. Customer loyalty should be respected and appreciated. Even the new pet sitter I found didn't ask for 100% up front. I think Sarah will have a hard time being successful. read more

We were pleased with Sarah's assessment of our dogs suitability for her services. We have an elderly Bichon with some hearing issues and we left her at Lady Di's to get their opinion on whether or not she was a good match for a 2 week boarding stay with them. Sarah was very kind and honest in telling us that our dog would probably be too stressed out by the level of activity that her facility enjoys. Although that means we will have to find another sitter, we were impressed by the fact that she was thorough in deciding whether or not our dog was a good match for her open kennel concept facility. She even offered to let me know of some home based sitters in the area that might be a better placement for our old girl. Integrity and honesty always impress me, and Sarah exhibits both. Our dog has a slight case of separation anxiety. So there is no better feeling than our morning ritual of opening the gate into Lady Di's and seeing her eagerly rush to the door - forgetting all about me. Actually, there is a better feeling - coming home and having our Kuma immediately pass out at her favorite spot by the window. We don't have anything to compare it to, but so far we've been 100% satisfied with Lady Di's. We've used their in-home services, doggy daycare, and will likely be using their boarding services during a trip later in the year. IN-HOME SERVICES When we first adopted Kuma, she hadn't finished her shot series so wasn't eligible to attend Doggy Daycare. We reached out to Sarah, and were able to schedule in-home services at a short notice. She came to our apartment to meet Kuma and make sure we were aligned on expectations for an in-home visit - which consisted of taking Kuma out of her kennel and going for a potty break, then a brief play session inside. Our building required us to buzz in visitors, so we were able to tell when Sarah arrived. It was nice to see she was always prompt and on-time - or would provide ample notice if she was running a bit behind schedule. Since we were still in the process of potty training, we also really appreciated that Sarah was knowledgeable and provided tips on what worked when she'd take Kuma out. DOGGY DAYCARE We started sending Kuma to Doggy Daycare as soon as she finished her shot series - and it has been absolutely fantastic. My vanpool picks up and drops off right next to Lady Di's so it's convenient for me to just drop her off and pick her up, though it does look like some clients call in and they have their pup ready to be ushered into the waiting car. Noah, Jasmine, and Sara are always very receptive when we have any pertinent information to pass along regarding Kuma (i.e. she hasn't gone potty yet, she didn't eat breakfast so please feed her lunch, etc) and are always willing to share any updates on her behavior at daycare. They don't have a webcam set up, but they'll occasionally post pictures/video to their facebook page. It always brightens my day when I see it pop up while at work. read more

I used Sarah's cat sitting services for the first time recently for several days while we were on vacation. Our two cats are highly social and experience stress (vomit, anxiety, etc.) when we are out traveling. They are very playful and bored to tears when there is no one around to play with them. I love this place! We have a 5 1/2 month old black lab puppy. Full of energy. I was nervous leaving him with just anyone. He stays at home with me during the day and gets separation anxiety whenever I leave him. The staff was timely with their email responses when I inquired about their services and setting up an initial session. Upon meeting the staff they were friendly and took time answering my questions. I toured the home which I found to be clean and tidy. I am a neat freak and home passed my inspection. The dog had a great time and was worn out when we got home after our first session. The next day we went back and as soon as he got out of the car he was running for their gate to get inside. He played for 5 hours straight without stopping. The price is very reasonable for the love and attention he receives while there. I could not ask for more. Very pleased with their services. Would recommend them highly. read more

Henry has been attending the doggy day care here since October 15' and absolutely loves it. I have tried two other day care locations in the Seattle area and none compare! Henry is a regular, 3 to 4 days per week. These are true animal loving people who adore their four legged clients. I am lucky and can usually take my friend with me on out of town trips most times but recently needed to start leaving my best friend behind. Henry has had overnight stays with his friends at Lady Di on several occasions and although I am sure he misses me, he is always calm and never agitated when i return. WOW Horrible!!! On the first day of our 6 month old puppy who is only 40lbs... apparently jumped the fence and/or ran out and was lost. We visited Lady Di last week and saw how you have to be called in and there are two fences that you have to go through... so no idea how they were able to loose our dear sweet puppy... whom I have never seen jump over anything above a coffee table height. Thankfully one of her neighbors found him down the street. I am horrified and never returning again. So very thankful for the neighbor who found him. read more

I have been taking my dog to this wonderful home for almost two years and they have become my dogs 2nd family! To say my dog is challenging is an understatement, he is very active and needs constant attention. This daycare and it's owner and employees have taken the time to get to know him and now he can hardly wait to see his other family and dog friends... Cat owners, I would not recommend Lady Di for cat sitting. My mistake was scheduling a new cat sitter sort-of last minute because our last cat sitter did not even follow feeding instructions or fill the cat's water bowl while we were away, so I wanted someone new. I had assumed that Lady Di's cat visit was the standard 30 minute visit that most cat sitters in West Seattle offer for $25. Unfortunately, they do not list the amount of time for each visit and I had overlooked this. That said, I think that someone who owns a pet sitting business who understands the unique needs of cats over dogs would have stayed longer than 5 minutes and at least wanted to pet my cat for a while. This was not the case with Sarah. Our cat is elderly and very much attached to us. He is used to being around us almost all day. We had anxiety about leaving him alone for a whole week because he needs a lot of affection. So beyond the basic needs of our cat, we were assured he would get that attention. Sarah did mention that she would not pet or play with the cat unless he came to her. I'm not sure how she expects a cat to warm up to her (a stranger) if she stays for 5 to 10 minutes. We have a camera set up in our home, so we know how long the visits lasted. The very first visit was missed (and they have denied that it was missed, despite the camera), and all of the other visits lasted from 5 minutes to 13 minutes. The cat was fed, given fresh water, and litter box cleaned, and that was it. For example, during a visit, Sarah sat on the couch playing with her phone while the cat was rubbing on her leg and meowing for attention. She immediately got up and left the house. I think that if you want to pay a ridiculous amount to have your cat fed and litter box cleaned, sure, this is the place to go. Personally, I have friends that could do that job for free. If you expect more time from someone (the real reason for hiring a cat sitter, I think) and someone who enjoys being around cats and wants to play with them/give them affection, I would go elsewhere for a 30-45 minute visit that is actually worth the $20-$25 per visit fee. read more

Our pug puppy Penny has gone to Lady Di for daycare almost a dozen times now and we're so pleased! She just had her first overnight stay last night and it was such a relief being able to enjoy ourselves knowing she was in good hands. I started taking my puppy at 4 months old to Lady Di. They are amazing with him. He has huge separation anxiety issues when leaving me, but Jasimine is so friendly and welcoming he literally busts the gate open and runs inside to his friends without looking back. They treat all their dogs like they're own. The rate is also very reasonable, I prepay for a package of 10 sessions, $22 per day (up to 12 hrs). Our very skittish dog has been going to Lady Di's for about 8 mos now. Given how terrified she is of anything that moves I find it a wonderful sign how much she loves being here - we have to convince her to leave! I find the location very convenient, drop off and pick up safe and the people who work there to be kind and concerned. Sure I would love if there were acres of land for dogs to roam (not that ours would leave the house), but Lady Di's is exactly what most of us are looking for - a good place for our dogs to spend their day instead of being home alone. read more
