Love their chocolates! However the customer service here as a whole isn't great and needs serious improvement. I've walked out three times prior to my last visit here simply for not being greeted, offered assistance, a sample, or acknowledged. The sad part is that I know what I want almost every time I come into the store, but refuse to spend my money in an unpleasant environment. Jorden helped me on my last visit 10/18 and was great, warm, welcoming, and eager to offer any assistance. Leah, however, on multiple occasions just doesn't crack a smile or greet people. Glad to finally have a positive interaction here as I do love their chocolate.

Nick is so sweet like the chocolate here. I love the Dubai dark chocolate with pistachios. Enter their raffle for a giant Valentines gift. The employees are so lovely and it's a cute little store.

7/9/25 Finally! Been wanting to visit this chocolatier! Splendid! I let myself wander in when a couple entered the chocolate shop as the man barked orders of pretty much everything in the store (see what I did there, "bark" get it? Ok super corny)... like a woman trying on every shoe in a shoe store as it is on "everything must go" sale. It's contagious when other people buy loads of items like it's 90% off lol Of course, these delicious & delicate treats are of high quality ingredients & therefore worth every pretty penny $$$$ The staff are gracious & helpful. The nice lady offered complimentary samples & I obliged, dark chocolate with orange & almond, simply decadent! I just ordered a few morsels of truffles & she threw in a couple of them on the house for waiting so patiently behind the man who ordered half the store inventory (alright, I am exaggerating) This shop is located inside the Westfield Century City Mall, it's a bit small but very squeaky clean, tastefully arranged & decorated. Parking is free for the first hour, the 2nd hour or more, you might have to take out a small loan, again, just kidding

Their festive figures and limited-edition chocolates aren't just gifts, they're basically edible happiness. Rich, and impossible to resist, every bite feels like a tiny celebration. Make sure you ask for a sample, and they'll even make your gift look extra special with their bags and tissue paper, perfectly gift-ready.

At the holidays, Laderach in Century City is super busy and bustling. The staff remains friendly and generous with samples. I was in the store for maybe 15 minutes and was checked on at least 3 times. I first discovered this Swiss chocolatier while in Zurich as it was specifically requested by family who was back in the states. The US counterpoint doesn't disappoint. I usually get Sprungli for my sister for Christmas and a box of pralines for my mom which are always well received.

I recently discovered Laderach for the first time at the South Coast Plaza branch. It was so delicious, I stopped at the Century City branch at the Westfield shopping center. The front window with those giant chocolate tablets is definitely the draw. The shop was crowded and is a smaller space than the Costa Mesa shop. I had to get the champagne truffle, which I find as good as the ones at Teuscher in Beverly HIlls. The milk chocolate was so silky and delicious, yet not overly sweet. They offered samples of their signature candied hazelnut chocolate. You can ask for a piece broken off the large tablets and it is sold by weight. I also tried the triple chocolate caramel tablet, the almond whiskey (seasonal flavor) and the strawberry curd, which was one of my favorites. The stash was finished in record time so definitely need to replenish supplies soon.

Visited on Friday, 11/29/24. I didn't know that this Laderach location is relatively new here at the Westfield Century City Mall. This Swiss-made chocolates are chef's kiss and a must try for all! I picked out my own chocolates: - 0.480 lb x 78 = $32.36 Definitely on the pricier side but worth it.

I have been A HUGE FAN and consistently repeating customer of Laderach even since I moved to US. Knew them first time in Swiss, then figured they had stores in London when I used to live there and it's been my almost every weekend grab and go. First moving to LA and knowing it's available here couldn't get me more excited but it's always challenging as all outlets were kinda far, at least being like 15 miles away. Hence when I saw that 'COMING SOON' poster at Westfield Century City, I was beyond thrilled they finally made it to the west!! As per the common Laderach store, the Century City one was indifferent, with gorgeous frishschoggi (fresh chocolate) slabs displayed at the front side, inviting people to pay a visit. The store always gave this elegant and classy vibe, perfectly represented their products. It's also their signature treat that visitors were able to try anything prior to purchase. It's very frequent that there's an attendant went around the store handing free samples to try as well. I tried tons of their chocolate slabs, from classic milk/dark with almond or hazelnut or macadamia, milk salted caramel, strawberry yogurt; till some more signature or seasonal ones like nut trio, espresso, blonde chocolate, pistachio, marzipan, and even cinnamon french toast! None ever failed me so it's really depending on preference ;) Their pralines and truffles were also mind blowing and my go-to were mostly anything coming with gianduja!

Wowwwww these chocolates are next level!!! You can try a variety of these before buying! What a dangerous store to go in!!! All jokes aside, this place has one of the most delicious chocolates I've ever tasted and I'm the biggest chocolate fan. Service was good and everyone was friendly and knowledgeable. Highly recommend if you'd like to treat yourself or get a gift for someone you love!

I always stop by Läderach when I'm craving good chocolate. The Dubai chocolate is my go-to -- it's always fresh and just tastes really good. You can tell right away that it's high quality. Everything feels freshly made, the texture is smooth, and it's not overly sweet. Honestly, one of the best chocolate spots if you love good chocolate.

First of all....I've never been a big chocolate lover BUT this chocolate was so delicious and the customer service was 20/10! Jorden was so friendly, and helpful....he gave me several samples & just went above & beyond my expectations when it came to customer service! Thanks Jorden! You made my day! I would absolutely recommend this place.... Some of my favs I tried were the strawberry bark, white chocolate pistachio bark, and one of the praline bites (I forget which one it was but it was delightful).

During the holiday season, that kind of just passed, I could not escape IG reels that romanticized…read morethe power of hot chocolate. Apparently, it can be so rich and thick (European Style) that it is part healing warmth and the other part just wildly delicious. So I decided to go ahead and find a cup of thick, and rich cocoa to hit me with holiday splendor, the kind that can re-assemble Frosty after his final melt. My friend Conrad and I were the duo who ventured to ChocoVivo to try chocolate, on chocolate, on chocolate, with some water on the side. ChocoVivo is in Culver City. The place itself is on Washington Blvd amidst some bars, and eateries. This place lends itself to be a dessert spot, an experience for chocolate lovers and those who are not, and anyone who just wants to experience the taste of chocolate in-depth and in odd luxury. As soon, as I entered, I made a beeline for the counter. I was overwhelmed with all the chocolatey choices: pastries, drinks, squares, with the list continuing exhaustively, it even included a chocolate skull that might serve better as decoration than a treat. I excused myself and went to use the restroom, I dared not ask questions to understand my options, when my bladder was full. I might make rash decisions, due to my inability to focus. And with so many options in front of me, I wanted to sample what was right and balanced for me. I wanted to sample chocolate, I just did not just want to taste chocolate. My trip to the facilities was a small adventure in itself. I passed a room with a man working on his laptop. But the room, seemed to be, like a Sultan's rest-room. It had pillows, hanging lamps, and a cream like colored that reminded me of sun-kissed sand. I clipped the room. There is a Minion (from Illumination fame) chilling in one of the couches. Another picture shows, a fishing net (maybe) with make-shift clouds pouring out of it, also leafs and butterflies. It seemed to be the remains of a shipwreck but it also held decorations that could have made the space more beautiful. I believe, and I could be wrong, of course, that this room used to be functional. A place to lounge, and see beauty, while enjoying chocolate. Now it was a forgotten room, whose purpose never fulfilled, and thus had stuff scattered around. I am sure, everyone can relate to that feeling, of getting stuff for an imagined room that never quite materializes and thus the room becomes storage, more than anything. Kondo deliver us! After, I came to the cashier, I ordered a hot chocolate. Conrad made a point, that the hot chocolate I ordered was not the European sipping hot chocolate that I had talked about on our car ride there. He then. made a point, that I should read a menu and then ask questions. I ask questions, as I read the menu. I eventually, ordered two hot chocolates, (one for him and one for me) and then we sampled 12 chocolate squares--- a sampler. The total was close to 60.00 dollars so this is an experience that is not going to the local mart and buying a Hershey's bar. The 12 chocolate samples were just great and enough, there were bigger samples, which I considered buying, but the price deterred me. The one that I got was super appropriate for both of us, by the end I was enjoying slightly by force, I mustered the strength to finish the half marathon. The full marathon would have tapped me out. The samples came with a card. Conrad was the one who was consulting the card, so we could not what chocolate we ate. It was truly fun, to be with someone who read of the information of the card, and then we tried to identify the taste as the card described. I wish I would have taken a picture of the card, but honestly, I am more of a determine by taste taster than a person who wants to be informed of what he is tasting, to know what he is tasting. I do remember the worst tasting chocolate we tasted--- it had black tea infused into it, I do not remember its cacao percentage, each chocolate had a cacao percentage. The hire the percentage, the sweeter the chocolate. The black tea had this earthy and tea taste that was profound. I guess imagine tasting. a black tea without sugar that is kind of the taste I struggled with. I am glad I tasted this chocolate, however, because it was part of the whole experience. I did not drive to the beach and endure a pothole, I drove to the beach and was both intrigued and jolted by the bounce that the pothole produced. Some chocolates I really enjoyed, the hot chocolate was goodness in a cup. The chocolate sampler also came with an espresso that was split into two cups. I was provided a knife to cut each chocolate. I put the knife in the center with one arm, and use the other hand to pierce the chocolate. My halfs were not perfect. Sometimes Conrad got the bigger half square, sometimes I did. I annotate all this so one knows that when you visit ChocoVivo you will need to work, if you want to split those chocolates, but the work was part of the fun!

What I've tried: -Plain croissant: Some of the best lamination I've ever seen. Large and ultra flakey. Great even 2 days after purchase. Buttery deliciousness. -Pain Au Chocolat: Done very well. Still very flakey and chocalate-y. Melts beautifully when toasted. -Kouign-Amann: Great execution. Crispy but not soggy or too tough from the sugar brulee exterior. Nice hit of finishing salt. Interior was still plush. Delicious. -Almond Croissant: Good but not as stellar as the other pastries. I did enjoy the crunch of the almond slivers and appreciated that the toppings didn't weigh down the pastry dough itself. -Chocolate Chip Cookie: Very good brown butter notes but I wouldn't mind the cookie to be a teeeny bit thicker. -Ricotta Pesto: Delicious. Pesto was pronounced and filling was creamy. Heated up very well and pastry dough maintained all the flakey layers despite the filling in the center. The shop and parking: Parking immediately outside of the shop is paid meter. Free parking is available if you walk about a block or two down behind the shop along the apartment units. It's a short 2-5 minute walk so I'd highly recommend doing that if you can. Just make note of the no parking signs in case there is street sweeping or any restrictions but I've done this several times now with no issues. The shop is relatively small but has a good amount of seating with maybe two tables outside. I've been at different times and only once has there been a line that has gone out the door. Still, it was a short wait (about 12-15 mins). The shop also sells merch like t-shirts and adorable mini tote bags. They also have unique chocolates from different countries of origin for sale. Prices of pastries are on the higher end but they are very high quality given the sourced ingredients and 3 day process. You can actually see them folding and extruding the croissant dough behind the glass if you come at the right time! They have seasonal offerings and an option to pre-order online as well. Overall: Amazing quality. Everything you would want and expect from laminated pastries. Will continue coming back!

TAWDI appeared highly rated, but it was also basically the only choice. Walking in to Mickey Mouse greeting you, it's a very homely, organized, and oddly empty shop with some Middle Eastern influence. They are big on marketing for their Dubai chocolate offerings, which I did try. The lady who helped was very kind, offering us each a sample by the chocolate type we liked. As she explained how they make chocolate in the back daily, I had to inquire about popular selections and what some flavors were. Basically, they seem to focus on Dubai chocolates and have some imported goods from Lebanon. While I trust that they make chocolates daily, I have to question how much, what flavors, and what is being turned over, because the sample I ate and the chocolates I opened up later certainly had obvious chocolate bloom, and yes they were stored at an appropriate temperature and eaten on the same day. At the price these pieces were, they certainly shouldn't have chocolate bloom nor taste like old chocolate. The filling of their Dubai bar was nice, crunchy, and moist, but the exterior chocolate shell didn't really have a taste. I am fine with paying a premium for premium-tasting chocolate and often do it, but I would have preferred eating grocery store chocolate, honestly. I'm not sure what others are tasting or whether people reviewing TAWDI are actually into chocolate, but I was disappointed when I didn't enjoy these.
