My absolute favourite bakery in Beverly Hills. Pompadour pastries are beautiful to look at and taste fantastic. This time I ordered the pumpkin and banana pastries. They were shaped like the fruits. Little works of art! The pumpkin had a pumpkin flavor along with cream and mousse and the banana had a strong banana flavor along with milk chocolate ganache and white chocolate mousse. Of the two, the banana was my fave but they were both extraordinary! Some tables inside but mostly a pickup place. Service was kind and patient. Some items are seasonal so grab them while you can. You see those beautiful pastries on Instagram and you just need to find one. So we ordered delivery from Pompadour. We had the Lavende Gardenr, which was absolutely beautiful but not particularly delicious. It really did not have much taste at all. The Pitchou was better, particularly if you're a chocolate lover. The cherry on the ganache is a nice touch. These definitely weren't BAD, but at $16 a pop, they really need to be more than just pretty. read more

Beverly Hills really is one of the most opulent spots in LA, perfect for shopping, people watching, and maybe even seeing a celeb. While wandering around, I decided to stop into Pompadour since I had heard good things. The pastries in the case looked like pure perfection, everything from custom cakes to colorful macarons. I ordered an iced latte since it was hot out, but I wasn't too impressed. It tasted more milky than coffee and strangely there wasn't even any ice in it. Definitely not what I expected, so I took off one star for that. Still, I really think the desserts are the real stars here and I'll definitely be back to try something sweet, especially a chocolate mousse or the knafeh. Parking is super easy. Beverly Hills Public Parking lots are free for one to two hours before 6pm, which is always helpful. Overall, Pompadour feels like a great spot to treat yourself in between shopping sprees, even if the coffee wasn't my favorite. read more

What a treat to find a pastry shop just south of Rodeo that's got cute ambiance and a gleaming jewel case of photo friendly pastries that are tasty too. I got the pistachio delight and loved that it wasn't overly sweet with creamy, satisfying pistachio flavor. There's a couple of seats inside but more little tables outside the shop. They also have a selection of macaroons and some ice creams in flute glasses. The shop opens early and closes late, easy and worthwhile stop after dinner in the area.
