Simply amazing. I was amazed at the moment I walked in the door of this office. The staff was kind and the office was the cleanest I've ever seen. There was a level of personal warmth that made the entire experience comfortable. I came to get a cavity filled as well as a night guard made. Within an hour I was in and out of there. I have never felt so comfortable and cared for at a dental office. Dr. Mai Ly is hands down the best dentist I have ever been to. She is wonderful and very caring. Going to the dentist can be a scary experience, but Mai does a great job taking care of her patients. She explains what is going on during the whole procedure and will do whatever she can to make the pain go away. She also has great prices! Out of the last three dentist offices that I've visited, she has been the cheapest and uses the most modern equipment. The only reason I'm not giving this office a 5 star review is because I took my daughter in for a check up and left 3 hours later. The wait was more excruciating then getting a tooth extracted. Other then that the staff was extremely welcoming (new patient) and my daughter really liked Dr. Mai. I loved the service, the front office is great!! I forgot my doctors name but he's young and very handsome. I just thought that he was a little too dry and by that Imean that he wasn't the type to make feel comfy. He was good but I think he was a little to rough when using his instruments in my mouth. I recently moved to this area needed a new dentist. I found Dr. Mai Ly on yelp and after reading the reviews immediately made an appt. My experience was better than I expected after reading the other great reviews. Dr Ly was extremely gentle and I felt very comfortable from the beginning of my cleaning. She was very thorough and I did not feel like she was rushing, she even went back over a few areas at the end to make sure she got everything cleaned up. Another important note was that unlike some dentists who gossip non stop while cleaning your teeth Dr Ly was very professional and gave me tips and advice about my teeth. That's not to say she wasn't friendly or down to earth because she was. The rest of the staff were incredibly friendly and I was so relaxed in the chair I felt like I was walking out of a day spa when I left the office. I will be referring friends and going back myself in 6 months for the next cleaning. read more

I have been going to Dr Mai for about two years now for cleanings and a crown earlier this year. She's very smart and has the gift of compassion with her patients. Earlier in the year when she found out my father-in-law was dying, she sent me a card, which really touched me. Dr Mai sincerely cares about her patients health and wants to them to have a very positive experience. The office itself is more like a spa type of atmosphere. They've put a lot of money, time and thought behind building this office. It's the little things like the "Patient Comfort Menu" that offers patients blankets, water, music, etc that shows this office wants to be different than other offices. It's a beautiful office with state of the art equipment and very techy hardware, such as check in. Ladera Ranch Dentistry has late hours on certain days to accomodate the working adult as well. Overall, I am pleased and will continue here. The staff tries hard and wants to please as well. There are so many dentists around, and it's hard to choose, but I'd recommend Ladera Ranch Dentistry to all, because they care about your health/experience, use state of the art equipment and testing and the ambience is second to none. I went to Dr. Mai to have an overhaul to my mouth. I knew before coming in there I was going to have A LOT of work done. The office is extremely clean and very pleasant to the eyes. The staff is very professional and welcoming. Most of the time going to the dentist you get all freaked out sitting in the waiting room but the feel of the office is very soothing. I filled out my paperwork and got seated pretty quickly. Had Xrays taken and Dr. Mai explained what I needed to have done. She was really nice about telling me how messed up my teeth were. I had a deep cleaning and 5 old silver fillings removed and replaced with the white ones(she told me that the fillings were fine and I didn't need them changed...but I insisted on the white ones) I love that a dentist can be honest and not like a car salesman... she could have easily said "yep you definitely need them all changed" and make a boat load of money but told me I didn't need it....but i wanted it and had it done anyways. Dr. Mai was really gentile and for the most part it was pain free. She took her time and did a wonderful job! I would totally refer all my friends and family to Dr. Mai! read more

ok so i went back to get my wisdom tooth pulled... and i was more scared than when i had my c-section! lol! however, dr. ly made me feel at ease and guided me through the whole process and the tooth was out in a jiffy! i was shocked at how fast it was and how i didn't feel a thing! i am not even swollen like a chipmunk or anything! she is so awesome.. and i love the receptionist anna too... they make me love coming to the dentist! haha! :) read more
