Dr. Mai is the best dentist I've ever had the privilege to see. She is attentive, extremely intelligent, and thoughtful in her practice. The fact we share the same alma mater doesn't hurt either-Fight On :)! But down to business...whenever I have any questions in regards to my mouth or procedures she is happy and willing to explain any and all questions with detail and intent I've never had in a dentist before. She always gives me a call after my procedures to ensure everything is going well. I've have a tendency to clench and grind my teeth from stress so I had quite a few issues when I came to Dr. Mai. She's done a crown, replaced a faulty crown from another dentist, replaced any metal fillings I had with tooth colored ones, filled cavities, and has done professional whitening and a veneer on my front tooth. So I can safely say she has done quality work in a variety of ways for me and is a perfectionist which I really appreciate in a dentist-you always know you get the best work and attentiveness! The biggest compliment I can say is that I trust Dr. Mai 100% and feel like family when I come into the office. As a plus, she's open a couple of Saturdays a month and the front office staff tries to accommodate your appointment times as much as possible, they remember you and ask you about things going on in your life... they also put up with my bad jokes. It's been a while since I've gone to the dentist, mostly because like a lot of people, I've had bad and painful experiences. My boyfriend found Ladera Dentistry and referred me- and I'm so glad he did! Finding a good doctor or dentist usually takes a lot of trial and error for most people. Everyone here was extremely friendly and reassuring from the moment I walked in to the moment I walked out. I really liked the fact that they have good availability in terms of appointments, everything is new and clean, and they offer little extras to make you feel comfortable. Dr. Mai Ly is awesome! I came in with a throbbing wisdom tooth that needed instant removal and she removed it with the quickness! She has a gentle hand, very sweet and welcoming and gave me friendly recommendations.I was also written out a prescription and antibiotics as needed. I had my implant done by Dr Mai Ly. I never liked having any dental work, especially the thought of extracting my tooth...I truly believe that any dental work can be classified as a licensed torture, and you can only imagine my fear of extraction. She is so gentle and does not rush to get to the next patient. They are open one Saturday every month so it's very convenient for people that have full weekday schedules. I just want to write about my wonderful recent interaction at Ladera Dentistry. There's probably a million other things I'd rather do than get my wisdom tooth removed, but I couldn't of ask for a better experience. First off, the office is located in a very clean shopping area and close to the freeway. The waiting room in warm, inviting and cleanly organized. Ana, working the front desk is awesome. The procedure area was very comfortable and relaxing. There was state of the art equipment everywhere, but I was most impressed with Dr. Ly's professionalism and expertise. Dr. Mai is very gentle and makes sure that you are not in any pain. She always remembers to ask you if you are in pain and makes sure that you notify her of any pain. I am currently in the process of major dental work done from years of not flossing and brushing regularly as I should. She is basically is on call 24/7 and squeezes me in if I have pain on my teeth. She dedicates the time and effort to make sure you are NOT uncomfortable. I am someone who is very frightened of the Dentist but she has been very careful and knows my pain limit!
