Fresh cookies and cakes and unbelievable donuts. The staff was plentiful and very helpful. Too many to choose from. I ended up getting standard glazed donut (they had just sold the last of their blueberry cake to the guy in front of me ) and a maple frosted vanilla cream filled stick. Oh man...the glazed donut was 10 out of 10. I waited to have the second donut until later in the day and man...that maple frosted was amazing! Totally worth stopping. Fantastic place. Fantastic staff. Fantastic donuts. They have been making donuts for a long time and with them being this good...I understand why they have been successful at doing it.

I went with the Mexi latte. There was no line at all and our drinks were ready within 3-5 minutes. The drive-thru wasn't too narrow and was easy to navigate. The price was as expected for a medium sized coffee drink, but the presentation was adorable. Both came with whipped cream and were topped with a chocolate covered espresso bean. The Mexi tasted like a cross between chocolate milk with cinnamon and a snickerdoodle. Though tasty, I didn't really get any coffee flavor, which was a little disappointing. I saw cookies on the menu, asked the flavors, and went with chocolate chip. I didn't realize they were prepackaged. The cookie was good, but a little dry. Definitely packed with chocolate, though.

Our order taker was FANTASTIC...I wish I had asked for her name. Sooooooo patient. Even offered to make me a new drink if I didn't like what I ended up ordering...on the house. An amazing gesture. Lots of drink options, hot and cold. I got a Carmel something or other. My wife ordered a coffee as well. Both coffees came with a complimentary covered coffee bean...man, that little gem was worth the stop. Those tasted amazing. We determined the coffee was just ok...nothing spectacular BUT the service and the smiles we received were worth the stop. Definitely worth a stop if you are in the area. Forgot to snap a pic of our coffee with the bean on top.

Their staff is great (lots of smiles and a willingness to accommodate). Shout out to going above and beyond. My wife and I were checking out of our room (Salt Fork Lodge) and we were going to miss the 11 o'clock cut off to get breakfast. I called and they were willing to make our sandwiches as close to 11 as possible and then just keep them warm for us. We got there around 11:15 and the sandwiches were ready. They were still hot and we really enjoyed our breakfast. We had lunch the day before and their sandwiches are top notch. Not a huge menu but what they do offer and provide is 10 out of 10. The cafe also has a cute little gift-shop with it and it is attached to an Amish grocery store. Worked out perfect for us to pick up a few of our favorite things we can only find from the Amish as well as enjoy a meal. Don't blink or you will fly by Route 22 Cafe...it is worth slowing down for and checking out.

Upon arriving (plenty of street parking & a lot) you'll enter an adorable old house flanked by a few outside tables and chairs (don't sit under the sappy trees). Grab your goods and pick a room to sit in depending on your needs and wants: working, reading, visiting, or playing one of the cute old games. Our coffees were good, my bad for not asking for "less sweet" (less of the syrup), I had the weekly special latte- maple & marshmallow. Don't forget, like I did, to use your $1 off for checking in here.

I was so lucky years later to wind up marrying a Canadian and being able to enjoy Tim Hortons again. We have not been to Canada in 10 years so this was a must stop on our road trip! We were not intentionally search for a Timmy's; we just happened to see a sign on the highway and exited the highway just for this. Since we had our dog, I went inside to order. I was kinda hungry too so if something looked good, I was going to get it. The store was empty so I was able to browse a little before I placed my order. The cashier was okay but not personable or super enthusiastic. I ordered some fresh coffee for hubs and I, timbits, doughnuts, and a sandwich. The sandwich was mediocre and I might have been biased as thinking the coffee and sweet treats were amazing but they were!

The draw for me is the personality of the place and the friendly staff. We visited after running a local road race and looked for a decent breakfast place with potatoes. The bathrooms are little dingy looking but looked clean. They had several specials listed on the wall including a sloppy Joe with fries. I ordered the sloppy Joe and was told a few minutes later that they had not made it and asked what I wanted instead. I opted for the German fried Bologna sandwich which turned out to be pretty good.
