Be sure to make an order or call and make sure they have the currency you're looking for. I requested a quote without knowing this but thankfully they had JPY that I needed. It's nice that their website has their daily rate posted so you know exactly what you're expecting. Very quick and efficient. Parking wasn't too bad and was slightly worried about the clientele with their sign stating check cashing as well. But doesn't seem like that's a huge part of their business. Small line when I arrived on a Friday afternoon. Short wait, asked for the exchange, provided the necessary ID, and done within a few minutes. Definitely a recommend when compared to exchange rates. I was truly shocked by how generous and professional he was about correcting the situation and accommodating us. We were able to exchange our currency and had an excellent experience here thanks to the manager. Our experience here was fantastic. My colleague and I were exchanging currency for a large group of students traveling to Europe. They exchange dollars into pounds and Euros for us. We did call in advance to make sure they had what we wanted, and they were prepared. We should have asked for smaller denominations in advance. That would be my advice - ask for small bills. Especially if you want to split amongst a group. I highly recommend using this place before travelling aboard. Much easier to take care of at home, and we got decent rates with no overall fees per transaction like you'd get at the airport. read more

Never had been here personally or called to ask more than one question so when I called to inquire and I came in, I was so pleased to discover I love this place even more. As I mentioned, their rates are one of the best, they dont even charge which is rare and I love that. Not only are the exchange rates enough to give this establishment five stars but their service is amazing. I mean, Im huge on customer service & they did not let me down. When I called to inquire on rates, they were so nice and unlike other $ locations, didnt sound annoyed at all from 2-3 questions. And once inside, they were so professional. Literally put everything individually in envelopes and gave me a breakdown and everything. Ive recommended a lot of people to this location unknowingly but now will undoubtedly brag about them. Went to change some dollars to euros. Cuba has a 10% f-you America fee when you exchange USDs there so to save some bucks, I got some Euros before my trip to exchange there instead. The rate here was better than the airport or anywhere else I checked in town. The lady who helped me was very nice and it was an easy exchange. Btw, Cuba was awesome, I'll be there again so I'll probably be here again before that trip. read more

Not sure why this place has such good reviews. Went to look up the current exchange rate for the CRC (Costa Rica Colones) and it's at 689 Colones per dollar. LACurreny says they give you 618 CRC per dollar. That's a 10% loss to exchange the currency. So while there may be no hidden fees the exchange rates are horrible. I'll use an ATM when I arrive in Costa Rica to pull out cash and pay my credit union 1% foreign transaction fee. read more

I travel a lot and this place is the store I'll depend on should I need to exchange my dollars to another currency. I'll tell you why: it's quick and clear. Not like going to my bank where they have to order the currency and it'll take a few days. So if you're a procrastinator then this place is up your alley (it is closed in Sundays though, FYI). Another why: it's got good customer service. They let you know to get that $3 yelp check-in, guarantee the best price, and will warn you they don't buy coins so spend them metals. The only reason I didn't give this place that perfect score is because the location is creepy, parking is terrible, and it's a little sneaky to find. Otherwise, if you are convenient to the valley, then this is the spot for your traveling currency exchange needs. read more
