This vendor responds to messages in Yelp. We bought $2,000.00 USD worth of Yen and came back the next day for another $2,000.00. We received 110 Yen for $1 at a time when the exchange rate was 113.6. A 3.6 Yen cost was very reasonable given we checked with Union Bank who have strong ties with Japan and gave us a rate of 85 Yen for $1, and that's if we became account holders. I'm curious what the airport in Japan and, the currency exchanges over there will quote. Whatever the case may be, this place was convenient and, probably the best rates out there. read more

I came here after I had family from London land at LAX so they can exchange their money. Service: Manvel was behind the desk when we walked in and he was very professional. He told us the current exchange rate, how much we would get, and even agreed to accept older bills that were no longer in circulation. Location: The location itself has a lot of parking out front, but it isn't located in the best neighborhood in Van Nuys. LA currency is worth your time as the rates they offer are far better than what any traditional bank or any credit union offers. One really nice thing they do is have all the rates posted on a screen, which lets you compare what you can get from them versus what a bank might offer you. One tip: If you check in on Yelp you will get an additional $3 on the transaction. Overall if you are in need of currency exchange in the valley this is definitely the place to go to. The staff is great, the rates are very fair, and they are really good with explaining the breakdown on your currency exchange. read more

Super easy to exchange money here. There were no fees, and their exchange rate was better than any of the other places I called. I called them to ask them for a quote and comparing them to other places nearby, they were the best. Note that the rate changes every 6 minutes, so the quote given over the phone could change at any moment, but it shouldn't by too much. I was planning a trip to Thailand, and I needed some Thai Baht to start off my trip until I could reach a bank when I arrived in Thailand. The staff were friendly and I had no issues here. Parking was a little tight, but it was free so I couldn't complain. Will be back here next time I travel! read more
