This place used to be good or perhaps on the day I went they just had two of the worse employees working that day. I have used this place so often to exchange money that most places don't have for example Icelandic and Danish kroner, I've also purchased pounds and euros. I have gotten Danish Kroner from this place at least for times and every time I have been I'm always greeted by this really young friendly girl that is always extremely helpful. That is what made this place so great it's nearby, had the money I needed and friendly service. Well that all changed about two weeks ago when I needed Norwegian Kroner, I called ahead to make sure they had it and the amount I needed. Well seeing as it's uncommon currency they only had about $300 and I needed $800, they informed me it would take until 2 the next day to have the rest, this was really close as I flew that same day but it was a last minute request so I understood. I explained to the cashier over the phone that either my friend or I would go that day and take what they had and the other would go the next day to get the rest, all I was told was okay and asked for my name. The next day I came to get the rest of the money after 2pm like they said, when I arrived I was hardly welcomed by a lady who had the face of permanently having a putrid smell under her nose... Nonetheless I proceeded to explain to her what I was there for and that I had called ahead as I had time constraints. Still she sauntered back and forth before getting and an equally incompetent person to come and assist with my exchange. Every time before when I have come to this store I have had cash this time I did not, so the fact that I would get charged for using my card and that it would be such an ordeal was unbeknownst to me as there also are no signs that state this and its certainly not information I received over the phone. Well this obviously was an inconvenience since I could have easily done my exchange in the airport for what I was being charged but as I was already there I decided to continue, the lady with the putrid smell face kept telling me I could go to the ATM at 7/11... okay not helpful, obviously I didn't want the extra fees as it was and I would not be able to pull the amount I wanted from a 7/11 ATM... had they informed of this prior to my arrival I clearly could have gone to my bank and gotten the cash. At all of this I had already spent 20 wasted minutes there only for both of the cashiers to tell me I couldn't use my card because they couldn't figure out the machine... I was livid not only had I wasted my time but I also had to leave without the money I needed. Oh and side note... they sold my friend Danish Kroner instead of Norwegian Kroner even after I had called them to inform them she would come in under my name for the Norwegian Kroner. Overall and unfortunately absolute worse experience ever it doesn't matter how conveniently located it is I will never go there again and I am yearling everyone I know to do the same and avoid this place. read more

Let me start by saying that I go to this location due to the amazing staff. Their customer service is above and beyond. Their knowledge and expertise is out of this world. I have found this place and I am very glad that there is a nice and convenient location with a big free parking lot, that I can exchange money for my traveling. It is hard to buy or sell foreign currency with NO Fees or without any additional commission charges in Los Angeles area, however this guys are offering really good rates with no additional costs.
