The staff will mostly ignore you (which i prefer tbh), but knowledgeable if you ask. The plants are in good shape and well cared-for. I've always had them do well and several times have found things I've never seen anywhere else. It's not fancy (or crazy expensive) like some of the bigger spaces. The space is always a bit of a hole-in-the-wall but hey, you came for the plants, right? Please stay here forever, Agrola, and never change.

We ordered and PAID FOR seven trees as well as delivery to our house. The owner's daughter showed up dressed extremely inappropriately with her child, who was running around our backyard. The owner's daughter then proceeded to tear one of our trees out of the ground WITHOUT our permission. She called the owner and told him that the tree was planted incorrectly. The owner then yelled at my husband, saying we have to pay more to get the trees we ALREADY PAID FOR because the trees we had from last year were planted incorrectly. My husband, calmly, told the owner that he demanded a refund, which was issued several hours later. The owner's daughter was screaming at my husband as she left our house, including RACIST insults. I've never had a more unprofessional experience with a business in my life.

Plus plant pots that will make you want to create the oasis of your dreams. The plants! Can I even skim the surface of the variety and fullness of the plant selection they have. I personally adore looking at the succulents and cacti, but I got kids so... haha I love the beautiful flowers and plant pot stuffers. So many ideas and inspiration. This visit I saw tons of hanging bags of flowers, so trendy! They also had wild and beautiful new flowers I've never heard or seen before. We also saw some of my favourite greens- food! The huge array of pepper plants and tomatoes were just starting to arrive and I loved it all. Then when you head finally to towards the till you go past canned good delights and fresh produce. Every time I've shopped here for myself or with others, I leave feeling like I've found more than what I thought I needed (great for any gardener to feel that happiness and this was certainly true on my most recent visit). If you're looking for seeds, plants, ready to eat veggies & fruit, various garden maintenance items, home & garden accessories or decor items, this is a great place to shop. If you're on a time or budget limit, you might need to go in with someone else to help you focus and cover more ground. There's always a lot to look at and if you go often enough, there's even a stamp card to fill up (I won't go into the details, as another yelper explained that really well already). The last visit I'm recalling (in Aug 2021), I noticed they had a decent discount on remaining vegetables, herbs and flowers for your garden. To a point it distracted me from my original mission of buying veggies for my upcoming meals. Well only a little... as I bought some lovely mature herbs of basil, stevia and chives to add to my patio garden. I stocked up on the veggies I went there for but made a note to myself about the cases of BC fruit. I'm writing this review now as I forgot it in drafts and found it again when sharing this location with relatives and friends. Most recently my Aunt picked up potatoes from there (Oct 2021), so the food area is still available as well as all the neat extra things closer to the tills. Parking lot is large enough one wouldn't struggle to find a spot, it's flat and it's paved. The entrance/exit is both flat, making it welcoming for all levels of mobility. The signs could be a bit more strategically placed so one actually goes into the right greenhouse area for plants, types of flowers, veggies & fruit (fruits & veggies were at the far end of the connecting greenhouses but in the past years the veggies & fruit were close to the exit & tills). I also passed a lot of staff in the greenhouse but no one asked me if I was finding what I was looking for, if needed help with anything I was looking at or if I knew that they were closing up soon. It wasn't until I reached the till I realized what time it was with all the staff gathered near the exit waiting for the greenhouse to close. That was an odd feeling but I appreciate the cashier & what I assume was the owner for still taking time to chat with me and make sure I knew about the punch card and had everything I needed. While exiting, I noticed a bunch of very happy greenhouse cats and one very lovely old greenhouse dog. Something about greenhouse that keep animals always makes me smile just a bit more.

They have SO MANY varieties and colours of flowers, herbs, veggies, shrubs, trees, specialty grasses, hanging baskets, planters, pots, water garden accessories, stone benches, gardening supplies and pretty much anything else you'll need to satisfy your green thumb needs. The hanging baskets are incredibly well done and SO breathtaking that it took me quite a bit of time finding the perfect ones. There were so many beautiful choices and I changed my mind quite a few times, but I finally managed to locate the perfect ones! I was really impressed at the sheer amount of tomato varieties they offered and sad that I had bought a few elsewhere... (I know better now). Stopped into the St. Albert Greenhouse the other day on a whim after hitting up 6 greenhouses in…read morethe past 2 weeks. I was pleasantly surprised by quality, value, and variety. They had the best price out of 6 greenhouses and the major ones like HD, Lowe's, Costco, etc. for seed starter packs of 6 annuals - $2.50 for a 6 pack is pretty awesome in this neck of the woods! They had jumbo 6 packs for $4.50 ( $1.50 less than Hole's for example) and I'd say they had even better variety! The staff were friendly and it definitely had a back road country feel. My toddler enjoyed their "barn" cat or rather "greenhouse" cat. There were 5 greenhouses in total - though, the perennial one was lacking - I think Costco had more perennials than this place. None the less, GREAT deals and good varieties! I filled up the back of my vehicle with their selections and I'll be sure to go back again this growing season!

This is almost always a sure fire, sprouting option opposed to buying prepackage seeds in a bag. I used to bring my tools here for sharpening. note: this service is no longer offered at Apache. Apache recommends R&R Sharpening services as an alternative. You'll notice by the images posted apache offers a wide variety of package seeds that are not commonly available. The three that I featured in my images have been suppliers that I have had great success with. In our cold Edmonton climate no seed is a sure thing. Shopping at Apache provides peace of mind, as I am usually nervous my 3 for 1 seed packages purchased from Dollarama are not going to sprout (haha) and guess what THEY USUALLY DONT! The outdoor Decore items are fun to look at but often out of my price range. I have purchased two birdfeeders over the years that have stood the test of time (12 years & 7 years) you do get what you pay for! Next purchase at Apache....A Rain Barrel !!!
