Booked it for the next day, arrived right on time at 10:05 AM. The line freaked me out, I thought Id be there an hour. Fortunately, the employees are truly incredible at their jobs. Line moves quickly, show them QR scan and ID, stay right in your car. I was out of there in 15 minutes, easy stuff.

I was made to wait over 10 minutes for the draw even though nobody was else was in the center (critical because it may have prevented a Fed Ex pickup). Center was made aware that a FedEx pickup was crucial due to the 3-day window for receipt of the sample by a lab in Wisconsin. Representative could not guarantee pickup and, as an alternative, did not allow me to take the sample by hand to another FedEx center, citing company policy. Fed Ex arrived at 3:12 pm, unable to make a pickup, also was unable to make a pickup the next day between 8 and 12. This is a health care concern for me, I may need to do another blood test. Now for my suggestions: 1) If you are going to be running behind please let the patience know 2) When patients schedule appointments for annuals give them the option of coming in and getting a baseline and then doing blood work and rescheduling their appointment for 2 weeks later. Or just scheduling the blood work first and coming in once you have the results. So you wont have to come in the firs time and waste so much time. Now all that above I can deal with... however what I do have a huge complaint about is the phlebotomist Cathy (I believe) I understand she gets off at 4pm and i understand the dr was running behind which isn't her problem. However, if the dr sends you a patient to have blood drawn especially after fasting all day please drop the attitude and all the huffing and puffing and slapping of the computer mouse on the table to make the computer work faster (its not going to work) I even tried to lighten the mood up by talking about the big comfy chair they had for blood draws and she had nerve to roll her eyes. She asked me to make a fist I did but she got an attitude like my fist wasnt good enough and gave me the ball to squeeze and after she got the needed in the blood wasnt filling fast enough so she proceeded to move the needle around in my vein to try to make it feel faster so she could get out the door. Then once she was complete. She said " all done" and turned her back towards me and went back to the computer. No have a nice day .. do you know how to get back to the front desk.. no personality and all attitude. Again i understand you were suppose to get off 15 minutes prior but this is your job and when you work in any medical field you will not always get off on time so suck it up buttercup. So minus the horrible experience at the end the rest of the practice is amazing and I would highly recommend to anyone working or living in the area. Second appointment showed up a few minutes before appointment time, desk person told me it would be 45 minutes. I waited ONE HOUR then asked when the doctor would take me. The person at the desk said the doctor knew I was the rescheduled appointment but it would be at least another 45 minutes.Again at no time did anyone approach me to inform me. TOTAL WASTE OF MY TIME! NEVER has anyone called to apologize. I am a VERY patient person but this was unbelievablly rude. This doctor should be required to take a time management and best business practices course. I deducted two stars because the intravenous catheter insertion was quite difficult. There were marks of five attempts in my upper arm elbow area. A final successfut insertion was completed on the top of my wrist. I am 84 years old. I spent 21 years in the Navy where teenagers took my blood without difficulty. Since then, I have had many blood tests in doctor's offices without the difficulty I experienced for the MRI. The intravenous catheter was inserted in a closet sized room where the technician had to stand and lean over me (in a corner) to inset the catheter needle. I believe the cramped quarters and the technician's contortion may have contributed to the unpleasent experience.

The quality of care was excellent while being affordable. It has been a long time since my last MRI. This machine was setup better and experience much less stressful than what I've previously experienced. I would definitely return to Novant Health Imaging in the future.
