This Labcorp location is a mess when it comes to managing non-appointment patients. People are left waiting for hours -- sometimes three to four -- with no updates or communication. They completely shut down for lunch, even if the waiting room is full, and mornings move at a snail's pace until suddenly staff rush everyone through with loud, unfriendly commands like it's a county service line. If you're overbooked, why are kiosks still allowing people to sign in? If you're at capacity, why not communicate that upfront? It's basic customer service and public health. Having sick or fasting patients waiting this long without clear direction is not just inefficient -- it's inhumane. Someone needs to step up and actually supervise this location. Right now, it feels like no one is in charge, and the people coming in for care are the ones paying the price. read more

Only YOU know what caused the delay, not me. I'm still running late from my appointment this morning. I had the most basic of tasks - a blood draw - and a 7:30am appointment for it. I was there early and checked in by 7:25, because I value everyone's time. Clearly, *my* time is not valued. Although the blood draw took about three minutes, they were over 40 minutes late to see me, and were rude about it too. If they know they're going to run so far behind, they should book fewer appointments, hire more staff, get a larger office, or all of the above. At the very least, when I ask how long it'll be, they should tell me realistically, so that I can call work, go get some water, take a walk, anything other than sitting there and growing anxious - don't just tell me you have "no idea" how long my wait will be. Both of the front desk ladies were rude to me and acted like I was dumb because I didn't understand their sign in system, because it was my first time there. This was my second visit this week.....They have done a great job of monitoring how many people can come in the waiting room at one time..... Both times the receptionist did a great job of directing folks.... today Irene & Sonia did an outstanding job of taking of care of me and all the other customers... Great job Ladies & keep up the good work... no one likes hanging out a Lab.....But, if it's clean and the employees are efficient that makes all the difference.... I followed my primary care provider from Optum to Community Alliance Medical Group (which seems to offer a better experience for doctors, including less pressure to take on unreasonably large panel sizes). The only drawback so far is that I now get lab work done at Labcorp instead of Optum's lab. I was used to walking into the Optum Advantage lab and being seen within 10-15 minutes, so I went in to the Redlands Labcorp without an appointment, arriving at 7:40, ten minutes after it opened. By the time I arrived, a line of patients was waiting to register, filling the waiting room and extending out into the hallway. I used one of several automated checkin kiosks to register and saw that I would need to wait 2 1/2 hours to have my fasting blood tests done. Instead, I decided to schedule an appointment online. I took the earliest available appointment time (7:45 AM) but had to schedule it three weeks from now. Later, I created an account online and checked available appointments for all Labcorp locations in a 15 mile radius. Morning appointments were booked out the same three-week interval at all locations. Afternoon appointments were available the following week, but not convenient for the fasting test I needed. I was able to book a duplicate appointment using the website for the same date and time as the appointment I had made using the kiosk. Lessons learned: 1) Always make an appointment online for Labcorp. 2) Be prepared to wait despite having your appointment (multiple people can apparently reserve the same date and time). 3) You may want to wait outside the waiting room when local flu or Covid activity is high; the room is small and easily fills up with waiting patients. read more

I can say that my experience with LabCorp is not usually pleasant... Super long wait times, rude staff, issues with paperwork or their system etc. I'm not sure if they company has improved as a whole or if it's just this location but wow they've really turned things around! Showed up to the minute for my appointment, was in and out in 5 mins! No issues with paperwork or the system, the staff was super friendly and the expedited service was super impressive! The costumer service is the worst here. Mostly for ELDERLY people since they don't know how to use the check in tablet. I went in a morning right on opening hrs. Few patients that were elderly told the employees we don't know how to check in. They immediately were so rube by telling them to wait and yet they never assisted them and people kept coming in so that meant they were going to have to wait even more. I helped one of the elderly ladies to check in. No one came out to help or even asked them if they had checked in. Knowing some of them didn't know how to. While the phlebotomists are kind, considerate, and professional, the office staff is not. The waiting room is stuffy and crowded. Lobby is not much better. Instead of coming in to the waiting room to call patients, they do so from their desks, which are behind a window and a closed door. Even if you are not hard of hearing, you won't hear your name unless someone happens to come through the door. Once I got my 93 year old mother, who has difficulty walking, through the door, instead of helping her into a room where she could sit down, they remained at their desks and wanted her paperwork. I suggested allowing her to sit down first. I took the paperwork to them and then they wanted her insurance card. These three trips for someone like my mother would have been exhausting and possibly dangerous. Surely as medical professionals they can do better! read more

Be ready to wait if they're busy. You'll be here for awhile even with an appointment. Once you get back there though you're usually out pretty quickly. The worse thing about this place is how quickly the waiting area fills up. read more

So..... came to drop off some blood here at labcorp. The door is locked. So i try to see if there's another entrance. I fidgeted with the speciman drop off box on the other side, and 2 people opened the door and just sort of stared at me before slowly closing the door on me, like I was some sort of alien. So i gave the number a call, and of course its for the general branch for Labcorp. Not for this specific Labcorp. So basically useless. A patient then opens the door as they are exiting. So we naturally go to gain access. But they said, oh the staff said they are on lunch, and not to let anyone in. Which is just crazy!!! They all take lunch at the same time? Is it such a small company that there's only 1 person working? It just boggles the mind. That at "lunch time" everything stops. How about all the people that are waiting inside, let alone outside? They're just in limbo, as though their time's not important? Its insane!! At least post it on the website, or on the door that you're on lunch for an hour. So very inconsiderate. This location has been my most frequented lab for routine blood work for years, as it is the resident location of healthcare implemented by the lovely Ms Sonya. As a patient who is very sensitive to needles and weary of bodily fluids, she has always taken extra care when handling myself and required materials. With a pleasant and kind demeanor, Sonya alway makes the experience memorable and remarkable every time, in such a short exchange. She is quite an expert in giving advice as well wether emotional, physical or in the skill of life (with disclaim of course). Let her tell it, she is a certified phlebotomist, though many who come into contact with her, value her as so much more. In fact, her valued opinion addressing specific concerns probably saved my life in the long run, as a little education on blood pressure, led to the discovery of a lingering aneurysm, I had no idea of. Went here with my boyfriend for him to get his blood drawn. After checking in and sitting down, people around us began chatting about how they had been calling names but people were missing it because the TV was so loud. And also that the woman at the front desk was rude. They called my boyfriend to the front desk to get his insurance information. Then a few minutes later they call him back and tell him that he needed to go to Quest and that they didn't take his insurance. But he had received a list from his insurance and they were on it. So she takes his card and says that she'll check. We sit back down and wait. It's been about 45 minutes by this time and we had another appointment to get to soon. So he goes back up and she completely forgot who he was and hadn't checked to see if they take his insurance yet. So we left. He calls his insurance to double-check that it was a covered location and it was. They wasted an hour of our time. read more

Even tho we had a horrible experience with the phlebotomist. The receptionist Christina was amazing! She called my son in fast and she was super nice. Came here and one of the staff members (from the front desk/intake her name is SUSANA (Latina) has the WORST customer service attitude. She was not trying to be helpful when I told her I didn't have an updated insurance card she said there was no way she can verify my eligibility with my subscriber number and so I called health net directly while waiting and the Health Net asked to speak with someone from lab when I asked if she can speak to them she says with an attitude "who's that?!" It's not gonna be my momma ! Of course I didn't say that I fought to be the better person and I told her health net when she got the phone to speak with them she literally rolled her eyes showing she was annoyed. All the while on the phone with health net she had such ugly gestures definitely showing an attitude !!! Sooooo unprofessional !! She definitely doesn't like her job and she shouldn't be in the front desk clearly not a people person. On a different note my phlebotomist Tiffany was a sweetheart !! Her and the other black lady (both black) gave such great vibes and they were polite and nice. If you come here beware of the ugly attitude Susana!! I had an appointment today and didn't even wait 10 minutes to be called. Usually my daughter cries and she's scared of needles but they kept her calmed and used baby needles so she wouldn't feel the pain like in other places where they just poke without any care. I defitnetly recommend anyone who has kids to get their blood work done here they are more understanding. I will definitely come back to this location. read more
