You have to check in with an ID as soon as you walk in.

I couldn't make an appointment so I walked in and waited half an hour before I was seen. When you arrive, make sure you have your ID out. You don't have to talk to the staff. If the "Check In" machine is available, and you're next in line, you may go for it. There are two for use: one has an obvious "Check In" sign and another is a tablet on the reception counter. To begin the check in process, you place your ID face down on the plastic tray. It will scan your ID and your information will automatically be pulled up. After you confirm the accuracy of your personal info, you can find a seat or wait outside for your name to be called. The phlebotomists are nice and quick so you could trust that at least. There are some red flags that y'all should be aware of. This LabCorps location doesn't follow strict CDC protocol. There are no sanitizing wipes for the machines despite having so many patients touching the same screen. No one is wiping down the seat after each patient is called in. Compared to Quest Diagnostics Lab and their dIligent COVID safety measures, this LabCorps location needs to make improvements. If they truly care about their patients safety, they should do better. How do they expect patients to trust them if they can't get basic sanitation down? It's scary because they actually do COVID antibodies testing here so anybody (potentially asymptomatic) could spread the virus.

Recently I went here for a walk in appointment and I want to thank the staff ,especially Itzel, for helping/calling to get my orders that I thought I had.

The people who work there are never very friendly, and they talk to people like they're stupid. When I have been in the waiting room waiting for mother, I hear the way they speak to people, and it's unprofessional. Today, I had to drop off a sample for my mother, and the woman at the front desk seemed very put off that she didn't come herself, I was given an attitude about it. When I was dropping off the sample in the back, one of the phlebotomists screeched at me: YOU HAVE TO CHECK THAT IN!! YOU CANNOT JUST LEAVE IT!! I was not sure if she was talking to me, so I turned around and she screeched at me again. I sort of laughed and said: yes, I know. That is why I am waiting here for the tech to take the specimen from me. As I walked out, I said: I think you all need to stop drinking coffee because you're wound up way too tight. I just hope I can get my mother's doctor to send her to Quest next time because they are friendly there. Never had an issue.

My wife came in today for scheduled bloodwork for my son. Given a Friday afternoon, it was crowded, but saw my son's name on the list confirmed they would be seen in order. As they waited, a lady came in and got the attention from the staff, and asked for a walk in, claiming she had an appointment. She didn't but they somehow gave her a spot. As my wife waited, seemingly longer, they noticed that my son's name was no longer on the monitor queue. Other customers were being called in, including some that arrived after them. My wife finally got a staff member's attention and told her the situation. The "rude" female insisted that they had no control over what the screen showed. (Odd that you can literally put people on the walk in queue but have no say with actual scheduled customers, BS). Long story short, they ended having to wait until all customers were seen, including walk appointments. After, pleading with the staff member that we were scheduled, they did nothing to help and made us wait until closing. Again, scheduled appointments are confirmed via text and email if you have been here. But no attempt to fix the situation. The worst experience ever at Quest (given we've been here several times and haven't had an issue). The horrible, staff member who would not help, and to top it off, she kept telling customers how busy they were because they were short staffed. That is no excuse when assisting customers. Second, saying that they had no control over the queue when they were clearly able to take walk ins, but mysteriously removed my son from the list. We've been to this location before, but it seems that horrible employees lower the standard of customer service and the overall business. Even worse is that so many people rely on Quest because many private doctor's offices do not handle internal bloodwork; so Quest has this massive contract with nationwide offices to do bloodwork for them. The customers who rely on Quest are our family members, whether sick, elderly, some dealing with major medical issues, yet they might come here and have to deal with the BS that my family dealt with today. Just horrible. Hoping to figure out if there is actual management or staff supervision to bring this issue to.

I checked in using the kiosk machine and it recognized my information as having an appointment. when my name was finally called. I tried calling right in front of them The Doctor Who referred me and they insisted I step outside. Very frustrating. She ended up leaving and going to a different lab. Absolutely amazed that this place is still open. Someone needs to look into it.

My 93-year-old mother arrived 10 minutes early this morning for her 8:15 AM appointment. Early. With timestamped proof. But the front desk staff confidently, and incorrectly, declared she was "extremely late." Bold move, considering their computers apparently exist purely for decoration. When we tried to show them the evidence, they gave the universal "I don't get paid enough for this" eye roll and refused to even look. Facts? Evidence? Reality? Absolutely not. Not on their watch. Then, because nothing says "we messed up" like doubling down on arrogance, they made her wait 1 hour and 15 minutes as punishment for their mistake. A 93-year-old. Sitting. Waiting. Because staff couldn't be bothered to admit they were wrong. If you enjoy chaos, incorrect accusations, and customer service so bad it could be used in training videos labeled "Never Do This," this is your place. If not, consider literally any other LabCorp, or honestly, a dartboard and a home blood draw kit might be more accurate.

In fact, the gentleman at the front desk helped me with an issue and was actually nice to all others who went to ask for assistance. He was even pretty patient with non-English speaking people. The nurses do cycle to the front desk, but they go only to call the next person. What I did see were a few people (about 3-4 in the 45 mins that I was in the waiting room) coming in right at their appointment times expecting to be served immediately, without checking in. It's not accurate if you don't know the process. Let's be real, an appointment gets a planned time, but if they are early/late a bit, that's expected as these offices get LOTS of people who need lab work. A walk-in without an appointment at 10:15 had an estimated service time of 2:30 pm. Better to make an appointment. The nurse that took my blood was nice and professional! I witnessed patients being rude to each other, and patients being rude to the employees regarding the long wait times. It felt very uncomfortable to witness while sitting in the waiting room. Also, I waited for over two hours here, and then they turned me away because they said they are too full for today. Then, they told me to show up at 7 am tomorrow to get in line for them to open at 8 am. They did not apologize or seem sorry to say this to me. Management should make this place appointment-only if they cannot handle walk-ins. ALSO, if a Labcorp member is planning on leaving me a generic response to this Yelp review like: "Hi, We are sorry to hear that this was your experience at the Upland, CA Patient Service Center. Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We will look into this issue further." Just know that that is a USELESS comment for me and anyone else coming to your business. Why give me an extremely generic response to my message if you aren't going to fix this? Maybe actually fix the wait times by getting rid of walk-ins or having a much easier, well-functioning scheduling system. If it is fixed, then I will value your response.
