It's great that online appointments are available but those who are sent here directly after a doctor's appointment are pushed to the end of the line. I went here to do my 3 hour glucose test today. I had a really good experience despite the reason I was there. Check in was easy and workers there were very nice and professional. I spent the 3 hours in a very comfortable waiting room separate from the front lobby and away from other people. Recommend this location. read more

I had to come to do a test before starting nursing school. The lady that helped me was Priscilla. She was incredibly helpful, kind, and informative. Her and I ended up having a really great conversation about nursing school and she gave me some amazing tips on how to be the best that I can be! Front office Staff are not the nicest people... I had an appointment and signed in and indicated that I had an appointment. I waited and noticed that someone who came in after me went in first so I got up and reminded the receptionist that I had an appointment Receptionist: what time ? Me: 11 Her: you're late!! Me: no I'm not. I got here at 11 *Points to the list where I was obviously skipped because my name is not highlighted but the person after me is highlighted.* Her: I'm not trying to argue with you. I thought you just got here Also the guy sitting next to me had to get up 4-5x to give and sign paperwork with the receptionist! He was getting a workout going back and forth! Good thing he wasn't old/frail! Ridiculous. I only come here because it is conveniently located for me but every time I go, it is not a pleasant experience. The phlebotomists are great though. I'm updating my review from 1 star to 3 stars. I come about once a month and over the passed year the wait time each time was extremely long. The last 2 times I have been here though I waited only 15 minutes. Make sure you make an appointment! When you check in at self check in just place your drivers license or ID on platform so it can read the bar code. Then follow instructions. It's easy and takes 20 seconds but I see many people struggle with it. Have your insurance card, ID, and medical confirmation handy. They will call you up after you self check in and ask for that information. Extremely nice staff. I will continue to adjust star rating based on my wait time. ....latest update.... last few times I got right in. Glad to reach 4 stars since I really like the people that work here. Changed back to 2 stars. It's not just this LabCorp but all the LabCorps I go to. Long wait times. Still friendly staff. Just a horrible greedy company sticking it to the people. Yes, hours have changed because of Covid. So the sign on the door said they closed at 3:30 even though when I called the message still said five. What gets to me, is I was in front of their door at 3:14 and it was closed and locked. I knocked several times and even asked the practice next door about it but they knew nothing about why it was closed BEFORE they closed. So, be careful about showing up anywhere near closing time. read more

Made an appointment online. Received email confirmation and a QR code for accelerated check-in. Arrived at appointed time, and the line was nearly to the door. Directly to the left of the line of people (about 18 inches to their left) were the 2 machines for electronic check-in. I got in line while I fumbled with my cell phone to bring up the QR code for the electronic check-in at the machines 18 inches to my left. I reached the check-in window at about the time my QR code came up on my phone so I just signed in at the window. 1st problem: I was handed a clipboard with a sign-in sheet, where people had been instructed to put their first/last name, and why they were there (specimen draw, specimen drop-off, specimen pick-up). PRIVACY VIOLATIONS occurred both in the location of the check-in machines within full view of the people waiting in line, and the sign-in sheet revealing everyone's name and reason for being there. 2nd problem: about 15 minutes into my wait, I figured I would check out the electronic check-in stations to see how the whole QR code thing worked, since no one was in line at that point. I kept trying to figure out how to activate the screen, and the woman behind the check-in window called out "They're not working." So I went back to my seat. And then I watched as at least 3 other people tried to use those same check-in machines, only to be helpfully told by the other people in the waiting area that the machines weren't working. HOW ABOUT TAKING 2 MINUTES TO TAPE A NOTE TO EACH MACHINE INDICATING THAT THEY'RE NOT WORKING? 3rd problem: after 30 minutes of waiting, with no status update, apology, or indication of when I would be taken, I returned to the check-in window, crossed my name off the list on the clipboard, and informed the receptionist I was leaving since I'd been waiting 30 minutes. No response from her. I then made an appointment (although one is not needed, since walk-ins are accommodated) at the Labcorp facility in Orinda. What a difference! Nice office, no waiting, helpful and cordial personnel. Parking lot and garage on-site, and valet parking for those who want/need it. read more

The structure of the building is fairly old. But the staff was incredibly professional, sincere and efficient. Loranda in the front desk made check in very easy and was extremely helpful. I came in for an employment drug test and was in and out in 10 minutes. Priscilla who was the collector walked me through the process of the drug test and answered all the questions I had. I was the only drug test patient and they couldn't accommodate me coming from a night shift... mean employees! Karma is real and what and how you treat others will come right back to you! We have an appointment at 8:30am arrived at 8:25am and receptionist won't let us sign in until it's exactly 8:30. We could have just filled out the paperwork and waited but nope. It's now 8:40am and we're still in the waiting room for who knows how long. Staff is more interested in socializing and planning their lunch then helping customers. Also they had to be asked by coworkers to turn down their music. Seems like the only nice/professional people are the one in lab coats. I'm guessing, like us, many people come here because they have no other options. It would be nice if they screen their people better before hiring them. December 29, 2017 My 3rd day in a row dropping off specimens. Two different girls at the desk were awful. You know, people are going through stuff, for example I have Leukemia, agoraphobia and scleroderma. Everytime I went in to drop off, they gave me a difficult time. If they don't know how to treat people they should not work at LabCorp in Pinole. Also, they don't seem to have the same information about how patients should do things. I'm quite upset about how I was treated and plan on going further with this. These girls need instruction, if they work for LabCorp shouldn't they all have the same information? Well, they don't. Next time she will be leaving through her little glass window. read more

The negative reviews had me a bit worried, but I was pleasantly surprised with my experience there today. The lady who helped me at the front desk, and who was also my phlebotomist, was friendly. She did a great job drawing my blood. The folks at Kaiser sometimes had problems with my veins. There's limited parking surrounding and below the building. Give allowance for time to find a parking space. I was fortunate to find the one single spot that was available. read more

Worst Labcorp ever! I've been there twice, and both times they screwed up something trivial. The first time. They didn't run my insurance properly, and 3 months later I got a notice saying that the company was refusing to pay because they had sent the forms to the wrong provider. Not only that, but I found out they had FORGOTTEN ONE OF MY TIME SENSITIVE TESTS. The second time I went (because I was in a hurry and didn't want to go to a different location) they forgot to ask me for a urine sample and called me two hours later asking me to come back. The receptionist is unprofessional and difficult to deal with today on December 11 on Monday morning at 7:40 am. I hope someone talks to her. She refused to allow me to sign in and said "I don't care when you sign in after 8:30." Drug screening isn't until 8:30 but they open at 7:00 am. The website I saw stated nothing about this. Then when I arrive the receptionist refused to sign me in. I wish I could go somewhere else but I need to get this done." No one should ever have a receptionist with an unprofessional attitude and unwilling to assist the customer. She is throwing things around at her desk and into the receiving window. Unbelievable. I was told to wash my hands where she had just put down the urine. In a sink!!! What would OSHA say? I couldn't believe it. Where the extra urine is placed ... a sink..... Went in for a Drug screen today. It was a bit of a wait but the girls were super nice. I didn't know they didn't start drug screens until 8:30 and I got there at about 8:10 so I just sat and waited until that time, signed in and then was called back a few minutes later. This was third time going to this location to get regular lab work done. In all fairness my first experience was good, and I didn't even have an appointment. It was all downhill after that. The next time I made an appointment at their San Pablo location and it was fabulous; in and out without a wrinkle. So, I made an appointment for the Pinole office since it's close to me. It was a huge disaster! I sat and waited and waited and sat finally they called me up and asked for my paperwork, but I'd been given an E-Lab slip, which worked fine at the San Pablo office and hadn't been changed (I get the same labs every three months). So they can't do anything and suggest I call my doctor. So, I tried again for my next labs. Appointment and waiting again. Back to San Pablo, no problems and very friendly, cheerful techs. Fast forward to today. I made an appointment at Pinole because I had another appoint that morning nearby. I get there to a roomful of people, but I and another person have scheduled appointments. So I sit down and wait and wait and wait..AGAIN! Why have appointments if you're not going to honor them? Someone from their training department needs to go in there and get them in shape. But for me I've learned my lesson! Be careful, double check that your e-lab request has been submitted by your doctor and, unless you show up when they first open, be prepared to WAIT! Appointments mean nothing to these people. read more
