My daughter had a bad experience in desert care and needed to have a substance on her face tested. We went in the PS labcirp about 3pm this past Friday with a lab order. Lab Corp was the company that received my test results for an Endoscopy and Colonoscopy. The follow up visit with the doctor office had to be rescheduled twice, meaning, cancelled three times because Lab Corp seemed to be having difficulty getting the results to my doctor. Luckily the results didn't show any cancers, but having an appointment cancelled the day of while waiting months for results, is unnecessary and unnerving. I hadn't had issues in the past with regular lab work drawn at the doctors location, so I am assuming many people were on summer vacation, leaving many people, for months, wondering if they have cancer. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I told my Doctors office they should find another company, but I doubt this will happen as it's all about money, they don't care if you are waiting to find out if you have cancer or not.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Sadly, my whole life, even in a major city, the medical industry is a disaster. People from other countries do come here for treatment, but, they pay cash and get first rate care and quick, not like Americans who have health insurance. read more

I've never been anywhere, where you go out into the waiting room and use the bathroom and have to come out with a cup full of urine and pass by everyone sitting there!!!!! 7 days ago, I made an appointment at the Labcorp at Walgreens in Palm Desert for 0745A today. I was there at 0720A and was told that the lab was closed today. I called Labcorp and was given another address for a site on Country Club Dr. I walked around the health center site and finally was told that this location was also closed. I tried to call Labcorp, with endless routing through a terrible phone tree, and went home to get ready for my doctor appointments. I will now have the requests sent to another company. Obviously, while I registered on line and made an appointment, this organization does not know which phlebotomy sites are open and have no way of rescheduling you to an open site if they have a staffing issue or anther cause for patient inconvenience. read more

[[HIGHLIGHT]]The blonde manager and overweight hispanic lady kept talking about their personal lives for over an hour outside the hallway instead of helping us get our blood drawn.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]There were about 15 people waiting for their appointment and walk ins.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] It was 9AM surely it wasn't their lunch break! [[HIGHLIGHT]]They are not considerate about other people's time and have nothing better to do than chitchat.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The line would've moved quicker if they also helped out. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The front desk are not friendly either.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]They have to remember that they are part of healthcare and people need CARE.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Remember to always be kind because people they are dealing with have health problems. Made an appointment for an annual work lab draw in the labcorp website. Had to fast for the test. I was called to the front desk and told at this point after fasting for 12 hours that they don't do this test at this location. Came here for routine lab work. First of all, it's hard to find. There is no signage whatsoever on or around the building. (It's in the Desert AIDS project building btw). Second, the check-in process is lacking. The two people I dealt behind desk were equally rude and unhelpful. They should both quit and find jobs where public interaction is not a condition. Dirty and cold and uninviting. Felt like a homeless shelter. The wait time - with an appointment - was over 30 minutes. If you have any standards,.. go someplace else. read more

I went in for various blood tests. As I entered my information in the kiosk, I heard a lab tech talking to other staff saying Monday and Tuesday's drag on after a weekend. I was there on a Friday so I thought it would be OK. Was I wrong. The male lab tech stuck the needle in my arm and in quick succession removed it and reentered it 4 times. 4 times. Apparently the backend of the needle in the blood gathering tube was bent and blood didn't flow. Rather than grabbing another needle he used my veins in an attempt to straighten out the needle. WTF. In addition they missed a test and I was told to go back in to give more blood. Double WTF. I feel sorry for anyone who is referred there. The lab tech should be arrested for assault if not outright fired. read more

Have been coming here for over 2 hyears to have lab work done. The check in is electronic and quick and easy. Yes, you may have to wait a bit - get over it! Bring a book! The Phlebotomists are some of the best I've ever had - the blood draws are painless. The staff is great, no one is rude. There is a large waiting room off of the main hallway which has great art work and is very comfortable. read more

I was sent to a public bathroom by LabCorp in the building to do my urine sample in front of others guys that were also waiting to do their urinating in the bathroom because the stall was occupied, also the guys in there were wondering what I was doing with my urine sample cup in there, which obviously looks like a urine donation cup in my hand, How Embarrassing Is That! Also, LabCorp lets other people in the waiting room gawk and stare at you while the needle is going in and your blood is being drawn out, this is how they have their office set up at his location. I found it extremely uncomfortable and rude with both of these experiences and I give this site a one-star rating because of this. read more

I don't understand what is happening to this location. Every time I come in, it moves slower and slower. 5 people in 2 hours, literally. It used to be so much quicker but now just takes forever. I would rather have made an appointment if I knew I would spend most of my day here. read more
