The business model of lab doesn't require employees with good communication skills, so don't expect the same customer service you get from anything in the hospitality industry. I've been going here for years. And I took this place for granted. Sometimes you just don't know how good you have it until you go elsewhere. The grass isn't always greener After being lied to and misled by Palo Alto Medical Foundation to use their phlebotomist service I will never leave this place! PAMF will charge you 12x $ more money and never tell you. One of the gals who works here is really nice and can be quite funny. At times she is moody but will easily bounce out of it. She'll talk about your kids and her family and just ordinary stuff while she takes your blood. No appointment required. ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS bring your medical insurance card. read more

The receptionist was polite and helpful. The phlebotomist was excellent with the needle. however, as I was looking to the side while she put the needle in, I read the sign that said the phlebotomist will ask to you to spell your last name and confirm your first name and verify your birthday. She did not do any of these things and I had to ask to see the test tube label after it was on the test tube myself and she is also supposed to show me that of her own accord. The verification of the patient information issue is the only reason it's not five stars. But the receptionist said she was in an amazing phlebotomist. she was fantastic. she found my vein immediately and was super gentle. read more

Made an appointment 2 days before. Walked in, scanned my code. Waited in a clean waiting room for one other person to check in ahead of me. Everyone was masked. Nurse was nice and did a good and easy job taking my blood. I'd go there again. Thanks for making it easy. Including check-in time I was in and out in 15 minutes. read more

Do not! I repeat Do Not Go Here!! It was like I was in the Zootopia movie with the sloth!!!! Poor girls!! There isn't enough help or SOMETHING?!! I had an appointment for 8:00, had FASTED, and waited 38 minutes!! I asked the receptionist if I was the next person, since the office was filling up and no one was moving. Also, I had an another appointment at 9:00 that I didn't want to miss. She said there was one person ahead of me! I wanted to rip my hair out, but I just quietly left. The kiosk they have to sign in is useless and actually the computer, everything slows things down considerably. I think they thought it would speed things up. Only one person was taking samples, and the receptionist was going between the front desk and the back office (helping do samples)?! Hire more people or find more efficient people FAST! read more

I got some exams there and all went well on that part. The 1 star is because I can't get the results. They send them by their website portal and I can't access the portal. There is no phone or chat, you can only send them an email and I've sent 3 without having any response or getting my results! This is frustrating! read more

The first impression on entering the office is "oh, how nice!" On closer inspection, you notice that the upholstery on the big easy chair is pulling loose from the frame, the carpet needs to be shampooed, and there is no tissue in the holder attached to the wall. The bathroom soap dispenser was empty as well. An important omission since patients are often using the bathroom to collect urine samples. If you have ever had to give a sample, you know what I'm talking about. On the plus side, although the technician was obviously feeling rather disgruntled, she was civil and very good at drawing blood: virtually painless. Bottom line: the LabCorp corporation needs to pay more attention to the physical maintenance of the office, and to job satisfaction of the employees. Update 26-Sep-18: there has been steady and significant improvement in the Los Gatos LabCorp over the last few years. The waiting room is now well maintained, clean, and professional. Their phlebotomists have always been and still are very competent, pleasant, and professional. read more

The lady with the long straight hair is very rude. They have a machine you have to scan your cards on to check in. We were having a hard time with it and she refused to help us. We left and went to Bioreference where they know how to treat people nicely. read more

It pains me to write this as my experience was good with a glaring exception. This would be a 5-star review were it not for the incomplete stool sample packet with no envelope for return and the complete lack of verbal instructions for returning it. I called the 800 number early this AM and was told to return it to the lab. Given that I live a full 35 minutes away, I declined. My husband went to a lab at Sutter Health and was given a complete packet with mailing instructions and envelope. I arrived at 7AM for a 7:30 appointment. I was first, easily scanned my id and insurance documentation. Yes, staff was cold and indifferent, but I put significant effort into being positive and it was reciprocated somewhat. The blood test was painless, fast and easy. No complaints there. read more

Very rude, bad attitude receptionist named Kim!!! There's a better way of greeting your patients and saying things that patients may not know. The phlebotomist is nice though. But that lady receptionist (Kim) needs to take some customer service classes or resign from that job. She doesn't have any PR/CS or just basic human conversation skills. read more

Excellent! This was the BEST blood draw experience I've ever had. Kim is fantastic! She was quick and right on the money. My veins are usually very hard to draw from. She knew exactly what vein she was going for, very confident, and drew 2 vials of blood so fast and easy. No extra pricking, fishing around non-sense. Not even painful and that needle was NOT small. She was my angel! Professional, helpful and very good at what she does. I know where to go when I need blood drawn! Good people like her are hard to come by. Thank you Kim! read more

If I could give this facility zero stars, I would. Kim is the rudest person that I have ever met. After arriving at the location at 7am for lab work, I found a note on the door, directing clients to a different location. The address on the door was incorrect and the location did not even exist. By the time, i found the new location on National Ave., it was 7:40am and the National location doesn't open until 8 am. You would think they might have made note of that on the door. No longer having time to have my labs drawn, I came back at 4:54 pm since this lab closes at 5pm. After seeing the look on Kim's face when I walked in after she was already prepared to close the lab 6 minutes early, I probably should have walked away. The technician, Kim, was the most unprofessional and rude human being that I have ever met. After questioning my doctor's orders and telling me that she doesn't play guessing games, she handed me my paperwork back and told me there was a problem with the order. I called the central office and talked to someone who sent me to the lab at Samaritan instead. They had NO PROBLEM WITH MY PAPERWORK OR THE WAY MY LABS WERE ORDERED BY MY DOCTOR. Isn't that amazing? This woman has no business working with people or needles and should be fired immediately. read more

I had an appointment with them for a blood draw a few weeks ago. I was seen on time, and the facility was clean, but the blood draw was a total disaster. My veins like to "hide", but I have never had an issue with blood draws- no pain, no fear of needles, no discomfort, etc.- and as a person with a chronic illness, I have had plenty of experience being stuck with needles. I told the woman doing the draw about the issue with my veins, but asked if she could be a bit patient and only use my right arm, as I had just had a series of intramuscular shots in my left arm and had significant pain on that side. She replied with "well, I'm not going up THAT high" (referring to where on my arm the shots had been administered) and jabbed the needle in my left arm anyways. She was rushing and digging in deep to try and find a vein...with no luck. When she pulled the needle out, blood flew everywhere and she had to stop to clean the blood up from my arm, and the floor. I have NEVER seen that happen before and was a bit shocked...and in pain. After no luck with my left arm (which I had asked her to please not stick in the first place), she was rushed and impatient with my right arm and caused a lot of pain before finding a vein. My bruises just recently faded after about 2.5 weeks. Will definitely not be going back nor would I recommend their services to anyone. read more

Update: I decided to go back to this LabCorp in a weak moment. That awful woman who mans the reception desk still works there. I find it hard to believe LabCorp allows this to continue. As many reviews have stated. She should be fired. Minus 5 stars for Labcorp The morning attendant is the most unpleasant individual I have ever had to deal with. I had stopped going to LabCorp because of this person, but my doctor wanted me to go there for the tests I was having. She is still there and is as unpleasant as ever. I guess that would not be important to a most, but if you can go to another LabCorp, you can save yourself some grief and not deal with her. read more

I had an appointment but told to go to Quest Diagnostics instead due to a lack of knowledge or competence of a staff member.

I was there to have blood drawn which my MD ordered for after my annual exam. Before I went there I was so excited to try a new place and new lab and hopefully no waiting. Ended up being a very bad experience. Nobody has ever needed to prick me more than once. The lab worker here took 6 or 7 tries before finding a vein. She filled 2 big tubes of blood that she ended up throwing away. Only one person was working there on that day and was very rough. When I sat in the lab chair to have my blood drawn she slammed the top down very hard. I hoped my blood draw would be easy at least. I ended up getting pricked so many times I had to tell her to stop it draw my hand. Finally she drew 2 big tubes blood, then she just threw the blood away and said to me "I can't do it any more!" She told me go a different lab. I walk away that lab very quickly and heard the door slam shut behind me. My arm and hand was in pain and there was no blood to take for testing. This is first time and my last time go to that lab. so much bad experience. That women work there not happy and hates her job why even work there? I don't know why they hired this crazy person to work there. read more

If only negative stars can be given, I would rate this lab a NEGATIVE -5. Drove over straight from the doctor's office to this location because of close proximity, arrived and was scolded by the incredibly rude front desk receptionists/phlebotomist- "do you know that we close at 4" (it was 3:50pm). Granted, I unknowingly arrived 10 mins before end of business day BUT the attitude from this horrid women was unbelievable and unwarranted. This incident happened on 5/7/18 - whomever this women was, I have some advice for you: #1 if you hate your job, you should quit instead of antagonizing patrons (don't take your personal problems on others - uncool), #2 if you want to hang up your lab coat and call it a day than you should have locked the doors otherwise if your office hours say 8am - 4pm and I'm able to get my foot in the door at 3:50 - you better put on smile, pretend you like me, and do your job! This has been the most unpleasant experience I have ever had, I'll have to go to their competitor from now on. read more

The staff is entirely NOT helpful. My husbands cardiologist neglected to put the code down for blood work. The front desk gal said she knew it but couldn't put it in and he would have to pay out of pocket. He went to Quest Labs in the next door building. They filled in the code and got him in immediately for his fasting blood work. read more

I am so upset today. I brought my son for lab test. The lady who drew my son blood was very nice but the front desk lady, Kim should be fired. The way she talked and her attitude was so rude. She apparently didn't know what her job duties are. "Customer Service" . I don't think I am the only person that complained to her supervisor . Why the hell is still working there then? The receptionist should be fired. Other reviews speak to this. She is in a word unbelievable. How can someone so rude be a receptionist. She feels like she has power over you because she controls the reception desk. She delights in putting you through hell before you can see the real technician. It doesn't matter if the rest of the staff is good or not, LabCorp is not worth the aggravation. I am unfortunately a regular at LabCorp, since my Dr suggested I go to there. Parents, do not go to this location if you are bringing your child for blood draw. There are reasons why this location has the lowest rating among all. The staffs here are unprofessional both in skills and behavior. They are very rude, both the staff there during Saturday are very rude and unprofessional. First staff came in and told us how good she is with drawing blood for toddlers, and it took her so long to find a vein and she ended up making our daughter cried so badly and not able to draw enough blood and told us, either you go to another location or we draw on another hand. We decided to just do it the same day on another hand thinking maybe we didn't do a good job holding her, another older staff came in and said you used the wrong needle for toddler. The older staff was able to get blood out of daugher hand but only after several in and out motion trying to find the vein. I was really pissed not only with the lack of skill but their rude attitude, she just pushed my husband away and said you stayed there! Today we called our pediatrician for the result and the nurse told us that they do not have the result back to us because Labcorp did not draw enough blood for one of the test! Seriously!!! Oh, my GOD. This was a worst Experience ever for me and my 9 year old. The place is discusting and dirty. The Owner is rude, and just because she is running her office herself, she is very disrespectful and rude. I gave this place 1 star because it was no choice to use 0 star. There was no soap in the bathroom, and we wanted to wash our hands after a urine and blood sample, trying to use another washer and she didn't let us do that. They were finally able to get blood sample after poking my dougheter 4 times between 2 days. I chose the place because they were open on saturdays, but THIS WAS A BIG MISTAKE. For your own sake don't choose this location. I went back the second day, because I didn,t want this to turn to a worse experience than it was for my dougheters sake. I do not recommend this place and won't step back in there again. I will say that, I will call their corporate office and report them.A very unsanatary place for a location to be a lab work. read more

The facility itself doesn't really fit the gold standard of medical facilities, its more like a run down veterinary clinic. I cannot speak for the competence of the staff as a whole but the person I had unfortunately had to deal with was unskilled at her job, she gave me the most painful blood draw I've ever had. She also asked me about a memorial tattoo i have on my arm in memory of my brother who passed away. I briefly explained to her what happened and her first words were "that was stupid." She went on to belittle the memory of my brother by explaining to me why she thought his actions were so stupid. I eventually had to say "I try not to speak ill of the dead" and politely asked her to be quite because what she was saying was so infuriating. The next unforante experience i had was more brief but she became irrated because she had to look up information when I was try to drop off a urine sample. I eventually had to say either accept it or dump it because i had to leave. Labcorp is just the lowest bidder for analyzing medical samples, so your not going to get the best service. This women is clearly the lowest bidder's lowest bid. She was so imcompenent, I can't imagine she's recieving competitive pay. read more
