The staff was unbelievably disrespectful! They Asked if I had my paperwork and I explained I scheduled online just to receive the most diabolically disgusted look. When it was time to go in finally they slammed the door on my partner's face looking back at them in MORE disgust!! Once I was in the back they were laughing in my face making comments about how I was nervous to get my bloodwork done telling me " you look like your going to cry" followed by laughter. The two employees that were there were just talking to each other about their relationship of the week basically disregarding my existence. They even asked me to go out to my car to get my debit card just for it to sit on the desk not even touched the entire appointment. for someone that already is nervous for bloodwork this place treats everyone with bare minimum respect if any at all. read more

Excellent experience. I was a walk-in at 11am. Completed the intake process. A very professional staff member attended and directed me to the room. She identified that the paper work from my physician's office was incorrect and that a charge in excess of $100 would be required.) The I left and went to the physician's office. They corrected the request. I returned to Lab Corp even though I expected it might be closed for lunch. It was about to be closed, but the same staff member I had seen earlier took me in (even though it was during lunch). She locked the door and I went on my way. Mary Jane at the front desk is very rude and obviously hates her job. Asking just to use the bathroom caused her to tell me " you know you're doing this test for your job". She was implying that she had control over my results. She refused to answer my question and also shoved a pen and my hand and told me to sign the document. I watched a woman slam the door in a patients face because she had an appointment and was very kindly asking what the wait time looked like because no one was at the reception and hadn't been for 45 minutes. Please whatever you do, DO NOT make an appointment. If you do, they will be sure to take absolutely everyone else first, even those without an appointment that came in and checked in after you. Additionally, IF and only IF, someone decides to grace the room with their presence at the front reception, DO NOT ask questions, or ask for any help about anything. They're typically very rude and snobby. I went recently and they were being extremely nasty to an older gentleman... in about his 70s. The lady in the front put her hand up to his face and said (or yelled I should say) "don't talk to me, I'm on my lunch break", when he was only looking for assistance at the counter. *For the record he was not being rude.* Then the site coordinator came out and was rude to him as well, when he didn't know what he needed for her. We are not professionals! We are not the doctor! So sad to see this happen to someone who's just trying to understand what they needed to get his procedure done. A little empathy and respect is necessary for this field. After he left the site coordinator continued to talk smack about him to me while taking my blood and praising herself. Very unfortunate... Ongoing thing, not the first time they're this nasty. Honestly hope they get fired. read more

We send loads of our season staff here for pre-employment screening. They're usually really fast, but not today. We had an appointment at 11:30 - arrived five minutes early and still had to wait about twenty minutes until the first staff member was seen. I will continue to use this location - as it's consistently much faster than the Apopka location. read more

Oh my goodness. I came here with an appointment to get bloodwork done one Friday afternoon. It is in a little plaza and it easy to find. When I walked in, there were a decent amount if people waiting. I hoped that they were walk-ins and I wouldn't have to be waiting for too long. I checked in at the computer (after waiting at the desk for a couple minutes because I didnt see the sign). About 5-10 minutes later, one of the ladies comes back to the desk and verifies my information. After I sit back down, I wait for a while. There were only 2 ladies there handling all the people checking in and the appointments. I know I waited over 30 minutes because I found it ironic that they had a sign that said 'If you are waiting 30 minutes after your appointment time, please notify someone at the desk.' No one was at the desk and I predicted going up there wouldnt benefit me at all. So I waited maybe 10 minutes longer and finally got called back. The lady was friendly and easily found my vein. Overall, this was not the greatest experience. I hate waiting when you have an appointment. The only good thing was that the lab tech was friendly and didnt have to poke me several times. I hope I dont need to get bloodwork done again anytime soon. read more

So why would you sling five stars on someone who: 1) Pokes you in the arm with a sharp object, 2) Makes you wait for that privilege, AND 3) Charges $700 for a 10-minute "service"? "Um, idk: a hooker feeding your drug need who got caught in traffic?" (snicker, snicker...) Read on: including you there with the bawdy retort ... Yeah - it's the annual open enrollment rite of getting your blood work we're talking about, of course. Our designated hitter is Labcorp. They have an online appointment system like Quest, and in many ways they are just like Quest. They open as early as 0600, with some offering Saturday service. Be forewarned: those early appointments go FAST, because everyone wants to get there early to their blood drawn after their overnight fast. This time of the year (November), you might need to get one a week or more in advance. I would not recommend going as a walk-in even if you're going to try them before they open - you COULD be there for a long time. For me, what distinguished this from any like pedestrian encounter was one employee and an interesting situation. In an encounter that channels a Larry-David-penned episode, I held the door for a gentleman going in, on the dot for my 0745 appointment. He nodded politely, but proceeded to sign in first! With no regrets, I looked to see what time his appointment was for - 0815! Dude was a half hour early! Hmm, I thought: would they reward him for his 'good behavior' arriving so bloody early, or would they take the guy who had the earlier appointment, but signed in after (albeit right at the appointed time)? I had to wait 20 minutes to find out. I'd missed the part when I made the appointment that said you're supposed to get there 15 minutes before your appointment - which is silly: why have an appointment time if it really isn't your REAL appointment time? As it turned out, the big AA teddy bear of a technician called MY name first. He was professional and friendly - beyond what you might expect at a place, and for a transaction, such as this. He chuckled when I told him about my little social experiment (more like observation). His technique was impeccable - barely felt a pinch. The $700 comment? I don't know whether they're testing me for a rare disease or not, but my 'bill' totalled $687! (All to be born by the insurance coverage, one can only hope!) And sure, I know the real work is far more than the 30 minutes I spend there, but hey - ya gotta use hyperbole for a little levity! I'm actually kind of curious, and hoping to see a Yelp review from the half-an-hour-early guy. read more

What's to say about a place that collects bodily fluids? Well, unfortunately, In my line of work I typically do this multiple times per year. This is not the kind of place that you typically frequent, but it was probably one of the best experiences I've had at a lab facility recently. Plenty of parking, clean waiting area, and little to no wait. Was unable to call and make an appointment prior, or schedule one online, but that didn't matter as I was in and out within 20 to 30 minutes. The technician was friendly, The testing environment was clean and I would definitely return here (if I need to) again. The only issue is the fact that it's on 434 and if you missed the left turn into the plaza before it, you'll be stuck waiting to make a U-turn at South Seminole Hospital. read more

The same people who are also checking people in. I have been waiting for am hour for an apt. I made at 1:00pm. Made appointment......arrived 15 minutes prior to appointment time. Currently 20 minutes past appointment time and haven't been spoken to yet. Apparently appointments mean nothing. I've never had such horrible service, especially from healthcare professionals. I waited for over an hour to get my routine blood work done and I left before I could be seen because of how rude and incompetent the front desk and nurses were. Every time I asked a question I was told "I can't do two things at once" or "wait until i call your name" or "i don't know". I should have known that this was their service because I got their 30 minutes after they opened and there was a man who had been there and complaining for the same reason when he was the first person to arrive. Please save your time and energy because I will say I am skeptical to even have my blood work done and sent to my doctor from these people because I have no faith that they are organized enough to even handle that. My pre-employment drug screen has now been in limbo 8 days and I am essentially out of work until it is processed. Communication with this location is deplorable at best. DO NOT GO TO THIS FACILITY. I truly wish that I could give this facility negative stars. This is, by far, the worst experience that I've ever had with a lab. The customer service is terrible - on the day of my appointment, I had to stand around waiting to sign in until AFTER the front desk lady called everyone already signed in up. In addition, she wasn't very pleasant. I was given wrong information regarding the bill of the lab - the next week I received a ginormous bill in the mail. When I called Labcorp's billing department, they said that a diagnosis code had not even been entered (and I know for a fact that the ICD-10 code had been written on the prescription by my provider) so they couldn't do anything. I called my insurance and explained the situation... they tried to call the facility 7 times and no one picked up... so they couldn't help. I went back to the lab, and as expected, they were very unfriendly and less than helpful. They claimed that no code was written on the prescription (false). So now I'm getting the run around. I get the feeling that the people who work here are unhappy and just don't care about their jobs. I REPEAT: DO NOT GO TO THIS FACILITY. Even if you're bleeding to death and need a stat labs and this is the only lab in the 5 mile radius... tourniquet your wound and drive far away to another lab!!!!! read more

I went to Labcorp in Longwood and met the worst employee I have ever met. She was the greeter and front desk staff. I will never in my life go back to this place and be treated like I didn't belong. I owned a successful business in the service industry for 25 years and if I found out that one of my employees treated anybody like that ....customer or another staff member that individual would be "Fired". This is a dismal little office with stark pale blue walls, hard seats, and linoleum floors. You may have to wait a while, especially in the morning, but once you go back they are quick and efficient. I was sent to have some blood work done and waited about 20 minutes to be called. Once back in the lab I was put in a special chair where you can pass out and not fall to the floor. Luckily for me this wasn't a problem. I gave my little vial sample and didn't even feel woozy. The tech was nice and joked with us for the 2 minutes we were back there, then we were on our way. Getting blood taken is never fun but at least here the process is quick. read more

I am a nursing mom that was fasting for a routine blood test. . I signed-in just fine, insurance popped up when I scanned my license, everything was correct, I sat down. The lady called me up and I explained the situation, she took my script and had me sit back down. There were only 3 other people in there at the time. She took care of them first, no big deal. . She called me up . My payment would be around $2400. Me - "With insurance that is my co-pay??" Her - "Oh you didnt give me any insurance information." Me - "What do you mean?" Her - There is a little button on my screen when you have insurance. Me - It came up when I signed in! I didnt even have to re-enter it, I checked it and it was right. Her - Well I dont have time to enter in the codes again with insurance. So it is all or nothing and I wont be separating the script either. . And she chuckled! . I tried to explain again... and I had fasted, my blood sugar was low, she **HAD** my insurance in front of her or she should have asked for it again.... . She looked past me for the new people that had come in. So I left, holding back tears. . I am blown away. I know it is a Monday. I had JUST had a conversation with my son about "sometimes people have a bad day and that doesnt make them a bad person *or* even mean that they are nasty to everyone all the time, it just means a bad day." And I am trying to remember that. I posted publically to my facebook page and 36 comments in a row told me to leave a review and contact corporate. I should not have been treated this way. read more
