They're always behind, and the lobby is always packed with people. The staff are slow and don't appropriately answer client questions.

I don't think I will ever utilize Quest again if I can help it…read more I had need of a routine blood panel and also to pick up a specimen kit for my little girl. It seems pick up and drop off should be simple, but to be safe I tried calling the lab to ask if I needed an appointment to pick up the kit. The system has no option to speak to a human. Literally. If you press 0 the response is, "I understand you'd like to speak to a representative, HOWEVER xyz." Very unhelpful. So I made an appointment and waited for 30 minutes past my appt time before I had to leave to go back to work. I did that not once, but twice. Two attempts on two different days just to pick up a kit. You would think I could've just asked a person at the clinic whether they were able to give me a kit, but no. Quest has revamped their model so that you are completely blocked off from any interaction with a human until they call you back. There is no window to speak with anyone. Just tv screens and a fogged door. And even once you're back, there are no check out counters any longer. It's only phlebotomists and the phlebotomists are expected to handle your insurance information, etc. When I got in for my routine bloodwork this morning and asked if she'd be able to give me a kit while I was there, she said no because she's only allowed 10 minutes with each patient and that would take longer than 10 minutes. It feels like a complete factory in there. The worst part is the tv in the waiting room that plays a series of messages. Every 5 min or so it played a message that if you're blind or visually impaired, you can swipe 3 fingers across the check in screen or something like that. Don't you think that if a patient is visually impaired they're going to be able to navigate that clinic without access to guidance from a staff member? They're just going to stand in the waiting room until that TV message comes back around? Thats not accessibility. This business model is gross. After I left this morning I called Advent Health outpatient labs and within 2 min was on the phone with a human being who told me to just pop by to pick up the kit and pop in when it's ready for drop off. SO SIMPLE. I'll be using them exclusively moving forward. If companies ever wonder why businesses like Advent are so prevalent, this is why. Don't take the humanity out of your business model.

I scheduled my annual biometrics screening at this location for a 7:30 am slot this morning. The screens were big and clear and the instructions were straightforward. It was only maybe 2 minutes until the gentleman at the window called me back to the first desk behind the door. He briefly confirmed who I was and let me know what they would be doing today- blood pressure, height, weight, waist circumference and blood draw. I took another seat in a second smaller waiting room. About 7:36 am is when a lovely lady called me back. I wish I had gotten her name because she was awesome! My appointment was super quick, but we fit in some casual, fun conversation. I want to give everyone a head's up- if you come to this location and a petite woman with the most amazing dark curly hair and an island accent calls you back, you are in luck, my Friend. I swear she was like an angel. I don't MIND getting my blood drawn, but it isn't my most favorite thing to do. She found my vein super quick.... I literally did not feel ANYTHING. I've had some terrible past experiences, but this lady deserves an award. I would highly suggest this location for anyone.

If only every lab experience could be like this -- seriously, wow…read more We came to Evan Howell Lab in Altamonte after my brother had labs ordered by his specialist, and I honestly didn't expect things to move this smoothly. Located within the hospital/medical plaza area, it was super easy to find and surprisingly efficient from start to finish. From check-in to completion, the whole visit took about 25 minutes total -- and that included maybe a 10-minute wait at most. Once they called him back, the lab draw itself was done in under five minutes. The staff worked quickly but still stayed professional, kind, and organized, which made the experience feel seamless. As someone who works in the medical field, I don't see this level of efficiency very often, so I truly appreciated how well everything flowed. No chaos, no long lines, no confusion -- just a smooth, well-run process that respected everyone's time. Honestly, this might be my new go-to lab location anytime labs are needed throughout the day. Fast, efficient, and stress-free -- definitely an experience worth recognizing.

I've been to this lab several times over the past couple years for normal labs, and, after a couple…read more"bumps" in the paperwork and wait times, the process has improved. Prior to Covid, everyone waited for their appointment in the small sitting room. Now, check-in and chairs for waiting are set up just a few steps away from the elevator stops on the second floor. At the desk, you need to provide your picture ID and insurance card. If you have the script for the blood draw, you hand it over at this time. The AdventHealth employee will point where your signature is needed and inform you kindly that you will be called in a short time. When you're name is called, you walk down to the suite, enter, and hand over the paperwork you initially completed. The wait is short before being called and instructed which room to head to. This is a small office, so no fear of getting lost! Every phlebotomist has been kind and has made drawing blood less difficult (because, who really enjoys these appointments?!?). Online or app scheduling for an appointment is convenient and worked well for me. However, I have also found that when walk-in's are welcome (check the status on the app or online), I've experienced reasonable wait times. I found the whole process fairly easy to work with and have experienced good service here.

Quest charged me for all of them, and when I asked why they said that the doctor had sent the wrong diagnosis code. Besides the doctors see the tests and do not return to the patient if a medication is needed. They are terrible. Acoid the headache. She was repeatedly refused the referral, yet today they called me to schedule her for an appointment with her GP to follow up on the emergency surgery--that she already scheduled last week. This "oh gosh sorry" reply to the Yelp review is the ONLY time Sanitas has apologized at all for endangering patient health. We have emailed them back, despite informing their scheduling department of exactly what happened nearly a month ago. They called me to schedule another appointment for a referral I obtained that expired on the 2nd. Your business model seems to be having you come in to see a GP, delaying a referral, then scheduling you for several more appointments with that GP with the promise of a referral, delaying you for as long as possible to make additional office visits and collect more insurance money while you wait for care. I can honestly say, I have never successfully seen a specialist for my existing health conditions, nor has my wife the entire time we've been with Sanitas. I don't know where the good reviews are coming from, as we have had nothing but horrible experience with Sanitas. For the simplest medical care task imaginable, referral for an existing condition, they have been utterly useless, and outright refused care without any reason. I would never recommend them to anyone who values their health.
