Terrible service and the 'supervisor' does not want to be there. She was so rude I left and went to the Westheimer clinic.

I've had my blood taken many times but if I had closed my eyes, I would not have even known that I had my blood drawn.

Man, getting here felt like a whole quest for real! I was running late for my appointment because I…read moregot a little lost at first. This Quest Diagnostics is tucked right inside Memorial Hermann Hospital's medical center off Memorial. When you put the address in GPS, it'll take you straight to the parking garage, which threw me off because I thought I was pulling up to the actual building. (Should've done my homework before, lol.) Good news though, parking is free for visitors. When you get to Floor C (third floor) of the garage, you'll see a big black and white sign that says "Available Free Visitor Parking." Plenty of spaces, so no need to stress about parking. Now getting to the actual building took time too, but after trusting my gut and checking with a nurse going back to the garage, I found it. It's in Medical Plaza 3 on the 4th floor, Suite 480. (They have relocated from suite 175 on the first floor) Heads up! if you're more than 10 minutes late, they check you in as a walk-in. You'll check in at the kiosk, punch in your confirmation code, scan your ID front and back and you're all set. After that, I waited less than 10 minutes. Honestly, the staff was super nice, professional, and made everything smooth. All in all, solid experience.

Terribly run, but the phlebotomists are good. Appointments…read morearen't reliable; the waiting room is cramped and full of confused elders; and there's never a human there to help them. Just a kiosk. Quest also provides no possible way to get a person on the phone. There was apparently a scheduling glitch that allowed appointments to be booked before their holiday-altered opening hours. I had a 7:40 appointment, but no one opened the clinic until 8:00). There was a line of us in the hallway pondering whether to cut bait. By the time the employee opened the door, the kiosk wouldn't let me check in bc I was over 10 minutes late for my appointment time. One employee's response: "we opened at 8:00 today." Not exactly helpful. So as usual, my blood was drawn over 30 minutes after my appointment time. They know how to draw blood (and are fast / efficient), but it's not run well, so plan to be there a while.

I had a very frustrating experience trying to complete extensive lab work at both Gessner Plaza 3…read moreand Plaza 4, as well as the location across the street. Despite having appointments, I was received poorly each time. Staff told me they did not have time to enter my information into the system because my lab orders were lengthy. I was asked to come back, which I agreed to, and I specifically requested that everything be prepared in advance for my return visit. However, when I came back--again fasting--they were still not prepared and did not complete my labs. I then went to the lab across the street and was told they also did not have time to see me. This level of disorganization and lack of patient consideration is unacceptable, especially when patients are following instructions like fasting and scheduling appointments. It raises the question of why these locations are accepting appointments if they are unable or unwilling to perform the services. In contrast, I went to LabCorp across the street the same day, and they completed everything efficiently, professionally, and with respect for my time. I hope this feedback is taken seriously to improve patient care and operational readiness.

I missed my scheduled appointment, but I decided to go as a walk-in anyway…read more Parking is available outside of the building but is limited. So, I had to park in the garage and take the elevator down. Parking was free. You have to go to the 4th floor for Quest. I had to look at the chart for the office locations. Once you get off the elevator, they have a Quest sign to point you to the left. It's very small inside, but I was seen Right away although it said there was a wait. The person who helped me did a great job and I was in and out!

I arrived at this location within 20 or 30 minutes of signing up on the website and when I arrived, there were a couple of customers already waiting to do whatever tests they needed to get done. Even though I had faxed the appointment through the website, I brought a hard copy print out just in case the fax never came through. I probably waited another 15-20 minutes before it was my turn. The phlebotomist who was also the receptionist asked me to go back into the testing room where she asked me to sit down. She started with my left arm, doing the typical blood draw things: rubber around the arm, looking for the vein, etc, etc. But you know what, after MULTIPLE ATTEMPTS of jabbing that goddamn needle in my veins and MULTIPLE ATTEMPTS of poking my arm and wiggling the needle in my arm, she wasn't able to draw blood. Like, she did, but it wasn't nearly as enough for the test. So you know what she did? She moved to my right arm. No apologies, no explanations, no words, no anything. She just moved to the right arm and started the whole process over again - this time it was a success. Like bruh, do you do this to all the patients or what? She gave me a cup to pee in and point me at the bathroom and told me where to put the cup after I was done. I went inside, did my thing, came out, and she was nowhere to be found. I put the cup where she told me to, walked out the room, and left without ever seeing her again (I wanted to ask when I could expect to get the results). I got the results the following day!! THIS was one of the only good things about this place - the quick turnaround, with the other being the affordable cost. Everything else? MEH. I hope the next time I come here, it'll be some other phlebotomist who's going to be doing the draw. Otherwise, I'd just drive a little further and find another location.
