I went to Labcorp to get blood tests. The experience starts with scheduling your appointment online, something I found to be incredibly easy to do. You choose a day and are presented with every open slot they have. Select one and confirm it, and you are ready. This was particularly good since I wanted to go right away, and found an appointment available in 1/2 hour. So I booked the time. When you arrive, there is someone sitting at a desk, but you are expected to check in using their kiosk. The kiosk has a scanner where you place your driver's license and then your insurance card. Using the data it captured, it filled out all of the information for me. That made checking in much easier. I was taken back right away even though I was a little early. The phlebotomist greeted me and asked me to take a seat. I can't say the draw was painless, but she did stick me with a needle... I'm used to getting lab work done in the hospital lab. This was a much easier experience, with no wait time. (Can't say that about a hospital lab.) read more

I came here yesterday to get a quick blood draw, as it was the only location that had an appointment available on a Saturday short notice. (I now order my own labs online, as my doc office pricing is insane even with insurance. This saved me over $350). It took me a minute to figure out which building it was, but parking was easy, check-in was fast (scan a QR code), and I was seen at my exact appointment time. The phlebotomist was nice and I didn't feel anything. I had my lab results this morning (Sunday) by 7:30am, so less than 24 hours later. I was expecting Monday at the earliest, so that was pleasantly surprising. The only thing that was a little odd was that there was an open/used alcohol wipe on the chair arm when I came in. She did throw it away (after she had already put on gloves). I'm super OCD about cleanliness, so that was slightly disturbing (I hope the tourniquet that was laid out for me when I came in was new). I've only gone to one other Labcorp before (in a Walgreens in Glenview) when I needed a pre-employment drug test and chickenpox immunity assay, but this one was was more efficient in terms of the appointment itself. I'll probably try another Labcorp closer to home next time, as I'll be scheduling labs with more notice (I decided to try this out on a whim) but I was already going to Ikea so this was convenient enough. read more

This location is right by my doctor's office, so it's really convenient. I've come here a couple times in the past year (including pre-Covid), and everyone has always been friendly and nice, with check in quick and easy. I've got picky veins, and they've always appreciated the warning (some places act like 'don't tell me how to do my job.') The lady here this morning (lovely black woman) is one I've had before, and she's incredibly friendly and I genuinely enjoy interacting with her. Due to COVID, one person at a time is allowed in the lobby, and they've arranged the furniture so that someone can check in electronically, and then go wait in their car (or wherever) and get a text when it's their turn). I definitely get the feeling that they take the pandemic seriously, and are doing what they can to keep the public safe. I appreciate it, and the positive attitude I encountered while here for blood work during such a scary time. read more

Just tried to get blood work done. Called ahead of time and was told that no appointment was necessary. Walked in and a woman by the name of Elizabeth was very rude. She told me she had too many people. I asked her if I could wait as I needed blood work for surgery. She said I could wait outside. Very rude and unprofessional l. I agree with others about the rude lady from India. I'm not sure if rudeness is part of her personality or it is something else. But it's definitely tickling the nerves of visitors. I think it's high time management notices this behavior. Her sense of customer service is definitely not up to the mark. She may need some training to ease into customer expectations. For example, I walked in and asked her if my doctor had actually sent my order for blood work this time, she told me in a rude voice, you have to check-in first. It dint make much sense for me. What's the purpose of check-in if your doctor lab work order has not arrived? This is exactly what happened last time for me. I walked out after check-in because my doctor did not send in a blood work order. I checked-in anyhow without much argument. A little later she calls me by my last name, and as i walk to her window and wait, she wouldn't say a thing for 5 minutes. Those awkward 5 minutes were a thing. I gave 3 stars (not 1 star) because the lab technician inside was extremely friendly. Though he draw 3 tubes of blood from my body, I hardly felt any pain. He eased me into a nice conversation about my Apple watch and draw 3 tubes of blood. LOL. Now that is what I call a true customer service when it is combined with friendly attitude. read more

Just had, by far, the most unprofessional experience with untrained staff in the medical field. Started the office visit with the nurse telling me she didn't know how to operate a physician's scale. I thought okay I'll take over and operate the scale. Next up, waist measurement. She hands me the tape and tells me to do it myself. Another nurse came in and had to tell the other nurse it goes around the belly button not around the belt loops when measuring the waist. We proceed to blood pressure monitoring where there are two cuffs in the tray. She doesn't understand that she's not getting a reading from the one cuff because it's not hooked to the machine. They both grab the second cuff and neither of them know how to install it around your arm. They ultimately decided to attempt to manually hold the cuff around my arm while checking my blood pressure. I felt like I was in a 3 Stooges movie. The cuff is expanding but isn't Velcroed together so as it expands & they are trying to manually hold it - there is no reading. To make matters worse before my blood draw the nurse assigned tells me it's her first day and she shouldn't be doing blood draws. She said she had no idea why the office was having her perform draws. I would be embarrassed to deal with the public with this unprofessionalism & someone better check if they have an assigned Medical Director. Beware of this butcher shop disguised as a reputable lab clinic. read more

This place is not somewhere you go for enjoyment. It's a place they do blood tests and drug screening. I was going there for a pre employment screening. The people at reception are clueless and speak broken English. Kind of like the post office. You also get the high standard of service here too. The location is in the middle of a shopping center and not where one would expect. Just a horrible experience overall. read more

The nurse that I had was AWESOME! She was so sweet; blonde, short hair, I think of Polish descent. I went to go get a COVID antibody test after being infected back in October. I have small veins so she had to stick me twice, which was no problem. I'm always so anxious about getting blood drawn and she made me feel comfortable. After the second stick though I started feeling light headed, hot, and nauseous. She gave me an ice pack and water. She was the sweetest! read more

I usually go to Quest (nice place, clean, no more than 10 minutes in and out tops), but thought I may have gotten a mis-read on my blood test, so my doctor suggested checking out Labcorp. Pros: -Lots of free parking (in a strip mall) -Pretty easy to get to -Kind nurses and techs -Good amount of chairs in waiting room Cons: -The place was kind of ghetto, really (you'll understand when you get there). -There was a really weird smell that caused me to get a headache. - When you enter, there are 2 women at the desk, but a sign telling you to sign in with the ipad on a stand. I don't know how long it takes to get to them, but I got there 2 minutes early for a 10:15 appointment and I wasn't called until after 10:30. -For some reason, I only need to pay a prepay of $18 with Quest. But at Labcorp, it cost $46 (which they said they'd only charge if my insurance didn't pay it). -For a medical place in Hoffman Estates, I expected it to at least look nicer. This location reminded me more of Stroger Hospital. -No TV in waiting room. -No Wifi. -I have a big vein in my arm, but for some reason, it actually hurt when she pulled the needle out. When I mentioned it, she said that they usually choose the needle size based on the size of the vein, and suggested that I should've opted for the smaller needle. I didn't know I had that option. So if you go there, ask for the smaller needle. For the sake of my health, I hope Labcorp's tests are more accurate. Yet, at the same time, I kind of hope they're not, just so I won't have to go back there again. read more

Great environment! I am a hard stick . I was so nervous . The mean Indian lady everybody is referring to was great. She reassured me that the procedure would not hurt . From the time I walked in the door this lady helped me and made me feel comfortable. I got my blood drawn and I couldn't believe it no pain and she got me on the first stick. I disagree with all these negative posts. The Indian lady ( as they are calling her) at the front desk was very helpful to me about 2-3 months ago. First time there & she helped me thru the whole process. She also drew my blood & listened when I told her I had very small veins. Another lady was also at the front desk. She was very nice also. Unfortunate experience TWICE!!! I went on a Saturday morning at 11:30 and this location closed at noon. The office was empty of patients and the staff was just chatting. I was treated very badly. The lady at the counter was extremely rude and repeatedly told me that i was too late. Their website says otherwise!!!!!!! She repeatedly sighed in exasperation. Seriously?! She did the blood test and i ran out of there. I was never going to go back there. And I never leave reviews. This was just too much!!!! Today i had to take someone else there. The same lady at the counter did the same thing. Except this time she didnt even do the blood test. She had the gall to ask me if its my habit to come late. How the hell am i late?? Your doors are still Open!!!!!! Never ever ever going back and im telling everyone of your level of service! Horrible!!!! read more

I made an appt. online, was taken in immediately and treated professionally. The lady who took care of my tests was extremely friendly and very accommodating. Phlebotomists usually have trouble finding a good spot to draw blood since my veins are deep. The phlebotomist that drew my blood (I think she was Polish) was patient and waited until she found the best spot. I thought it would hurt quite a bit (I usually bruise and feel sore after getting blood drawn), but there was little pain and no bruising. I wish I remember my tech's name. I can highly recommend to anyone needing blood work. read more

When my fiancé and I came in for his wellness screening the Indian lady at the front desk was beyond RUDE! she was talking about other patients how they fear her and some guy better not come there he knows better to mess with her.
