All, Just wanted to…read morelet everyone know about a recent unpleasant experience I had with Walgreens Take Care Clinic. During the weekend holiday of July 4th I came down with a condition requiring a visit to my primary care physician. However, due to my work schedule and the holiday weekend I was unable to schedule an appointment. I knew I couldn't wait another 2-3 days to see my doctor. Therefore, I decided to visit the Walgreens Take Care Clinic(my first visit). I figured at a minimum I could get a prescription that would help clear-up my condition. So, on the morning of July 2nd I visited my local Take Care Clinic. I was first in line and spent about 25 minutes with the nurse(APN) on duty. She completed the exam and prescribed a couple different medications that in her words "would clear-up my condition within 24-48 hours". At that point I was very happy. Over the next couple days instead of seeing some improvement I saw the condition worsen and worsen...no relief...NONE. I was feeling miserable and knew I had to see my primary care physician asap. By Tuesday, July 5th I was able to schedule a last minute appointment with my doctor. My doctor quickly went to work and diagnosed my condition(completely different than the Take Care Clinic Nurse). I explained my situation and what I had been through at the Take Care Clinic. I showed him the Take Care Clinic paperwork which included the diagnosis and prescriptions. Much to my surprise he snickered saying "You were misdiagnosed....those prescriptions will do nothing for your condition". Well, I guess I wasn't surprised. But, at that point I was rather upset and disappointed in Walgreens Take Care Clinic. I shelled out $80.10 for the clinic visit and another $20 for prescriptions. For what? The nurse misdiagnosed my condition and also prescribed medications that would do nothing to resolve my condition. Because this was my first visit to a Walgreen Take Care Clinic I felt compelled to contact them and file an official complaint. So, on July 8th that is exactly what I did. I called their Patient Support Center(866-825-3227) and spoke with a representative(Pete). I walked through the entire scenario with Pete and he seemed genuinely concerned about my experience. He assured me all complaints are taken very seriously and would be reviewed by management level folks higher up. Shortly thereafter, I received a follow-up call from another Take Care Clinic representative named Catherine. She was very nice and requested that I fax my Primary Care physicians notes detailing his diagnosis and prescriptions. I agreed. I contacted my Doctor's office and request the documents be mailed to me. Fast forward, I received the doctors notes and I faxed them to the number provided by Catherine. After that, I heard nothing back from Catherine or any other employee from the Take Care Clinic. I followed-up with Pete on 8/2. Again, Pete assured me complaints are taken very seriously. Although, at this point it began to feel like it was just corporate jargon he was trained to regurgitate back to upset patients. Anyway, he stated my issue would be escalated to his supervisor for immediate review. Later that day I received a call from Catherine again. She stated she never received my fax. Although, I find that suspicious because the fax machine I used acknowledges and confirms all successful faxes...and my send was 'successful'. Anyway, at this point I asked Catherine for her email address. I sent the requested paperwork via email and she confirmed receipt of it within minutes. Upon receipt, she stated it would be forwarded and reviewed by the Take Care Clinic Market Manager and the Regional VP. Upon review, a decision would be made regarding my refund request. Today, August 8th(a month later) I received a voice message from Catherine. She notified me that my refund request had been denied by the Take Care Clinic 'Market Manager'. There was no reason provided and no additional information given. I must say I was rather disappointed. I feel little attention was given to my case. In fact, I feel betrayed! How can Walgreen Take Care Clinic justify a denial when their nurse misdiagnosed my condition and prescribed the wrong medications? How can they justify it when they have my doctors notes and his diagnose was completely different than the Take Care Clinic nurse? Note: After getting the correct prescription(from my doctor) my condition cleared within a couple days. Based on this experience I would certainly not recommend Walgreen Take Care Clinic. It was an awful experience and I feel my concerns were not taken seriously. DO NOT USE WALGREENS TAKE CARE CLINIC. THE SERVICE WAS POOR. THE LEADERSHIP WAS LACKING. As always, caveat emptor.

I had the worst experience ever at the St. Charles, IL Take Care Clinic. So today I go to the…read moreWalgreen Care Clinic to get my daughter her chicken pox booster. So I wait for an 1 hour and 45 mins with ONE person in front of us (I think she took an hour lunch between there). After walking around Walgreens with 2 small kids for an 1 hour and 45 mins I finally see the Assistant walking to the desk. I tell her that I have been waiting for 1 hr and 45 mins, and she only needs the shot. This woman verbally attacks me...I am not even kidding when I say, leaning over, red face, yelling at me..."I am ONLY ONE PERSON! I refuse to give you a shot. Get out of MY clinic!" The first thought was to call the police, I seriously didn't know what to do. So, I begged her, (this was all in front of 10 people who were waiting for prescriptions, etc) literally, "No, please, please," I said.."Please we have been waiting so long." Although, I knew I wasn't be genuine, it got her in. But, she seriously made me cry..I was crying I was so upset, which is not something I really ever do. She called her in, took 30 seconds to give her the shot. She handed me the paper, and I told her to never ever talk to me like that again. She proceeded to tell me to "Get out of MY clinic." I will not stop until something happens with my complaint..ever.
