My advice is get a quote from at least one other company for comparison purposes before committing. This can be tough to do when facing the stress and urgency of something requiring testing be done in the first place, such as a leak causing damage requiring demo and restoration. But if you can somehow take a breath and shop around, you may save some expense. In my case, I was referred to Mobilab by a drying company recommended by a plumber I called to deal with a pipe leak. As it turns out, that drying company charged outrageously high fees for very little service. They also tried billing me for services they did not perform and materials they did not use. And somehow every company they recommended, including Mobilab, had prices way more expensive than the others I contacted.

This made no sense and bumped up the bill. I understand sampling the walls because it was an older home. In addition, I am suspicious of findings. Because we had previous drying and no asbestos found. It benefited them to find asbestos. It meant thousands of dollars for additional abatement services with yet another company the Drying Company worked with. I ended up doing abatement this time and didn't have to the previous flood? I am suspicious. The Drying company I fired and they still billed me 3.5 times the price of what the new company I hired to do the job did. I went through the BBB and I settled with them so I am not allowed to name them. They have bad ratings and work closely with Mobilab. For the completion, I switched to Patriot lab and they were less than HALF the price of Mobilab. They looked at the testing prices and my bill and agreed it was high.
