This LabCorp sucks!! Several times I have scheduled online only to show up and they are closed. For example, several of us people had appointments on November 24, 2023, the day after Thanksgiving, we waited and waited early in the morning, only to find out they were closed and we were all there for nothing!! Then why did they allow us tp schedule online?? Another time I went, had my scheduled appointment and their systems were down, and they had a long line of people and were sending them inside to wait and sit on chairs. Obviously they did not knowing what they were doing, I was included with those that had no appointments!! I showed them I paper printout that proved I had an appointment, and nothing! So what's the deal? you have an appointment and you still have to wait along with all those that didn't have one? This is not the only time the systems were down, there's been numerous times, so annoying!! Then you are allowed to go downstairs to check in, and still there's a long wait, even with an appointment, what's the deal?? Ugh!! I'm going elsewhere. read more

I have a fear of having my blood drawn. Not so much necessarily the needle part, as much as whose wielding the needle. So after reading some of the LabCorp reviews, I was extra careful of which office I chose. I definitely chose the best! I can count on one hand how many times I've had my blood drawn, and it took 3-4 attempts to locate my vein. That is a very painful procedure. I have small rolling veins, and 90% of the time, my blood has to be taken from my hand using a butterfly needle. Well this experience was the best I have ever had in terms of blood draw. My Phlebotomist Allison was so kind, professional, and patient. The procedure was absolutely Pain-Free! I told her I was a hard draw, and my blood was usually taken from my hand. She said OK, but would I mind if she tried my arm? I said sure, certain I was in for a few pokes. She then had me make a fist, and slowly felt along the side of my arm for a vein. She them took a needle out, and told me to breathe out. To my extreme surprise, she inserted the needle, and found a good vein, AND there was no pain. She took quite a few vials then withdrew the needle. Needless to say I was shocked and relieved to say the least. She bandaged me up, and I was on my way. Two days later I have no bruising, and you cant even tell where the needed was inserted. Wow! I'm impressed, and this will certainly be my go-to place if I ever need lab-work outside of my primary care provider. Kudos's to you Allison, you are straight up AWESOME! Thank you Oh and the receptionist were very nice too, and the office was very clean and quiet. I expected a crowd, but it was a nice surprise. Ahhhh good times! read more

Simply just horrible was there since 9:45 in the morning it was 12 midday and I was still waiting in line and then I heard from someone that had an appointment that even then with an appointment they had to wait 45 minutes while they were inside that is just completely insane I don't understand why they take so long and forever a blood test never takes longer than 20 minutes why do they have two nurses outside checking in people when they should be inside doing their job!!! Imagine if I made my clients wait for more then 45 mins I would end up with no clients !!! How weird that this location is reported closed because I was just there today. The receptionist and everyone else there were super friendly. This is the worst and most mismanaged area of this medical clinic. People are standing out in the hallway without any clear indication of what they are supposed to be doing. There is no signage indicating that one must first go in and check in at the kiosk. Then you are supposed to go stand out in the hallway until they call you (you can't hear them from the hallway). Good luck to you if you have been fasting for hours and are already crabby or if you have a time sensitive test like I did (mine had to be done before 9:30am). read more

It's an alright lab but I feel that calling ahead to make an appointment at a different place might be more time efficient. I came to Magan Medical clinic on Saturday at 8:20am...the facility opens at 9:00am but there was already a line of 15 people. So be prepared to wait. Fortunately everyone lines up in an orderly fashion. At 8:50am a nurse comes out to give everyone a numbered wristband just to ensure the order. Once doors open, everyone walks straight to the Labcorp in the basement and lines up again. Fortunately the people there are trained machines, they process your doctor's order/medical insurance card quite quickly and there are usually 3 lab technicians working with patients on getting their blood drawn. Then you have to wait again for them to call your name. That took about another 30 minutes. So it was waiting for 40 minutes outside in the line, then another 30 minutes in the lobby to actually get your blood drawn. And when you're fasting it feels like every minute goes slower. But they're still pretty efficient. Just know that you will be waiting at least an hour, even if you come early in the morning. read more

This place is the worst! I went to get blood work done in time for my oncologist appointment next week. I got downstairs and saw a line right off the elevator. I asked if it was for the lab and everyone said yes, when I finally got to the front of the line 20 minutes later, saw that it was just for checking in.....I checked in at the kiosk and was told to go wait in my car and they would text me when it was my turn. I waited in my car for over an hour and went back to check how much longer. The receptionist told me that the texting doesn't work. THEY WERE NEVER GOING TO TEXT ME. THEY JUST WANTED EVERYONE OUT OF THE WAY. I was furious. I finally had my blood drawn and I wish I would never have to go back there again! read more

Why do I go here when there are much better LabCorp just a few miles away. Go down this relic sloooow elevator that's been around since they were invented. Soon as you get to the counter, four people on computers and not one of them say anything for ten minutes....and then they say paperwork. Well that's a good way to start off a conversation. NOT??? Then she says, go have a seat. Then they call me and I take mom to the room to draw blood. There was one girl that was nice that was drawing blood, but they don't wear name tags. I just wanted to drop a note that if you are going on a Saturday be sure to arrive a little early as people do line up. It's okay though, the lab gives out wristbands so it's not a mad rush for the door. They also fill all the chairs at once so you're in and out once it's opened up. read more

Not at all what I was expecting. I got here 50-minutes early and the lady at the desk was like, No problem. She had me checked-in in about 20-seconds. Quick pee in a cup and a minute later I was getting blood drawn. I was in and out in probably four minutes and everyone was really cool. Definite five stars. It's in the same building as Magen Medical Clinic, and its in the basement. Just ask where the elevator is and go downstairs. There isn't a "LabCorp" sign, but just follow the signs to the LAB and you're there. read more

You would think there will be signs telling people that you need to use their self-help devices since the receptionists don't talk to you. You are a paying customer and deserve better service. This is the worst Larbcorp I be been to so far. I came 15 mins before my appointment and still have to wait for additional 25 mins . The one who draw the blood ( she was wearing a nose ring ) looks like just barely woke up and in the bad mood. She is barely talk and throwing her stuffs around , and used a big needle for my small vein. I have been to many blood draws and this one definitely hurts and when she could not get the blood she blamed me for flinching !! I told her to please use the butterfly needle if she doesn't want me to flinch, and after poking me twice she finally able to get the blood drawn. It you can , don't go to this one . I was NOT thrilled about having to get bloodwork done, but went because I had to. Unfortunately, I get a pretty severe vasovagal response to needles in my body. I told the staff "I need to lay down while you take the blood or I'll faint." They dismissed what I said. I repeated it 5 times, and they still insisted I sit in the chair. They drew my blood. I fainted. It was only then that they escorted me to the room where I could lay down. They were the most inconsiderate non-empathic staff I've ever had to deal with. read more

This place is great, make sure you have an appointment and your time there will be much quicker! I believe they are going to stop taking walk-ins soon anyways. I had to get my blood drawn 3 times today for blood glucose test and I didn't feel any of it, it was so painless and I had never gone through blood draws without feeling some sort of pain. All the phlebotomists who drew my blood and the people at front desk were really friendly. Made my time here pleasurable and not annoying like many other places! I always use this company, the one in Arcadia or this location because their phlebotomy tech seem skillful. What makes this recent visit worth mention is their staff's professionalism. I have used this lab many times, and sometimes some of the staff especially the front desk were not as friendly, but today was different and it truly shows how good customer service makes a different. It was obviously under staff and only one girl working at the front and her name is Putnam (sorry if that's not the correct spelling), she was working very efficient and with no attitude at all. I heard her talking to the elderly with respect, and when we the customers answered her questions, she always said thank you. I got there for my appointment but I totally forgot my paperwork (that's what happened when I have been home for so many months doing nothing except working remotely). I thought the front desk girl would give me attitude which I have experienced before at somewhere else, but it was not the case, she kindly told me to go get my paperwork and come back. When I came back and the phlebotomy tech who helped me was Teresa, and she is another angel. She was so caring and made sure I was comfortable. She was so professional and the process went fast and painless. One of the main reasons that makes a company great is its excellent customer service, and I appreciate your great work. read more

I had made an appointment here and when I went they just skipped me. I went up to the lady sitting at desk that I had made an appointment but I hadn't been called up. May I just say i had been waiting for 2-3 hours. She was being completely disrespectful to me and had told me no appointment was made. I came in Saturday morning at 10:20 and until 12:30 they announced that they will no longer see walk ins. The line for walk ins was moving so I stayed but they should announce when they know they can't see walk ins instead of waiting until closing time. There were many people there fasting.They were very unorganized. Even the people with appointments had to wait. They showed no empathy for those waiting. When you are getting blood drawn it normally isn't for a good thing so they could show some kindness when speaking to people. This is the first time I have ever written a yelp review. My experience at this Covina Lab Corp prompted me to do so. We took our 13 year old daughter who is autistic to get her blood drawn. We had a 1:45 pm appointment, we didn't actually get a room until 2:20. We purposely made an appointment for her because her behavior tends to escalate in public. We had to wait another 15 min for a lab tech to actually come and draw her blood. Now that happens sometimes so we were doing our best to keep our daughter calm. The reason I am writing this review is because of the behavior of one of the lab techs response to us ( or lack thereof). We were taken to the room and she went into the room of the man that had gotten there after us. Confused I asked her if any one was coming to draw my daughters blood. She completely ignored me and proceeded to take the mans blood. I could tell that she didn't want to draw my daughters blood, that I could understand, but to completely ignore me was unacceptable behavior. She acted as if she didn't even see us there waiting for the draw. Incredibly rude and thoughtless on her part. I would NEVER recommend this lab, especially to anyone who has a disabled child. read more

I don't know if she was having a bad day, so I asked her how her day was going and how her Christmas was and no feedback or smile. I wasn't feeling good that day, I didn't expect a big hug. I've visited this Covina location a few times and my first few visits were okay. I don't like the whole path to getting to that department. Like other lab Corp locations they share a building with other medical businesses. When you walk into the building there is a front desk area with signs for "cashier", "X-ray", "orthopedics" , "X-ray", "registration". There is a small Lil store to the side of this area. There is also a list of offices and their locations located on a wall near the elevators however lab corp is not on that list. So it is kind of difficult to find. You actually have to take the elevator down. To the basement . Once you go downstairs you may think you're going the wrong way . There aren't any signs to direct you to lap Corp either. I remember the first time I went , it was empty on the main floor. when I went downstairs it was dark with a little dim light coming from a hallway. I had found and employee and she directed me to labcorp once I found the direction their were labcorp employees and patients. I felt safe after I found it but seriously getting there was a lil spooky and there is something about that elevator ride to the basement that is really eerie and the elevator rattles and shakes and the light flickers. Any way, that's just the entrance and getting into lab corp. now for my review on lab corp itself ... CUSTOMER SERVICE: lets face it, most employees in the medical field aren't the friendliest especially at labcorp. The receptionist always seem to be hurried, unfriendly, and vague. The same with the phlebotomist. Maybe it's just at labcorp. But the most recent time I went the receptionist was nice, well, not nice but not rude either so I was happy for that. I was seen right away without an appointment (yay!) but in times passed when I did have appointments I would have to wait awhile. As for the phlebotomist , I haven't met one that has been friendly or clear. For example if you ask questions they seem to get annoyed and answer vaguely. My recent visit I had asked a few questions but the phlebotomist seemed annoyed by my questions, made lil to no eye contact and just answered she didn't know and she couldn't tell me. She just referred me to my doctor. I was just asking what kind of test I was getting done. Then she wanted me to sign a paper confirming my info was correct. It wasn't so I wrote the correct info. So she took the paper and left the room, came back with revision and had me sign she then said I needed to go upstairs to update my info. I asked, "where upstairs? The signage is very unclear and there aren't employees in certain areas". She said she didn't know exactly where . So as I waited I saw this blind lady come in along with her care taker. I watched another phlebotomist assist the blind women without any regard to her disability. She left it all to the care taker. Which sure, that's her job so ya that makes sense. But when it came to drawing blood she didn't introduce her self of shake the blind women's hand or explain what she was gonna do. She just grabbed her arm and got to work. The blind lady had to talk to the phlebotomist. She actually greeted her and introduced herself and asked for the phlebotomist name. The phlebotomist was sort of rude by being unfriendly and unaccommodating I almost wanted to complain but the blind lady was so sweet she didn't seem to be bothered. But it was disappointing to know that someone like a phlebotomist could be so careless and rude. Where is there compassion? Why do they do what they do? They seem so irritated by patients. They need to be sympathetic to people who may be scared of needles and even be accommodating to those with particular needs. A major flaw in labcorp employee ethics. It's not just with one labcorp employees, it seems to be across the board. Another time I tried to go to labcorp was on a Saturday. I had tried calling them directly to see what time they closed but it was an automated service that would prompt you to press a number for a live person but it would just ring. So I had to call the 800 number to find out the hours. So I found out they closed at 1. I was there at 12:50. I see the lights turn off and all the phlebotomist taking off their gloves and walking out. I asked them if they were closing. One girl said yes, were closed. I asked what time they closed (bc I was told 1pm over the phone). She said 1pm and walked away but I looked up at THEIR clock and it was 12:55 and the time on MY phone was 12:50. So they were not only leaving early but they had their clock ahead 10mins. So FYI lab corp patients. Lastly, I went upstairs to try to update my info. The employee up there was so rude, she asked what I wanted but she couldn't find me in her system only to realize I was insured elsewhere. She wanted to know why I was there I told her labcorp sent me. I was upset at the waste of my time. I told her labcorp needed to be trained bc they didn't seem to know where to send me.
