GOTTA LOVE some honest people. I don't know s***t about mold, I just had a health scare from my…read morelast place and upon moving into the new place, was heartbroken to see some mold-looking spots on the wall. despite not smelling much of anything, I decided to call around. gulp -- $600 for JUST THE TESTING. But Bloom Environmental offered a free estimate, and tho they could have convinced me we needed to take action and give them all my savings, they looked around and told me we had nothing to worry about, but to do wipe off the mold-looking spots and if it doesn't reappear, it ain't mold. [mind-blown, why-didn't-i-think-of-that emoji]. OH!! Also, while remaining diplomatic on our original phone call, he did show empathy about how slum lords be. convenience factor was great -- he texted me to accommodate my appointment-change request. and then dude showed up ON TIME. Yay.

An A+ to James and Allie Plessinger, and Bloom Environmental! They are awesome! Just before I was…read moreto start a basement waterproofing project with Company X, the Company X representative informed me that the vinyl tile and underlying mastic in an area of the basement of my house (built in 1945) likely contained asbestos, that the wood paneling in that area contained mold, that these would need to be remediated/removed before their waterproofing work could begin, and that I needed to hire another company to do the work. Thank goodness Company X recommended Bloom Environmental! Bloom Environmental Owner James Plessinger and Office Manager Allie were wonderful to work with. They returned my phone calls and emails quickly and efficiently, and explained in detail all the steps they would take, which greatly alleviated all my concerns. James collected and sent out tile and mastic samples for testing by an independent, accredited company (high marks for this!), which confirmed the asbestos problem. They scheduled the 5-day project as quickly as was possible with our schedules. I was amazed at how the actual remediation and removal project occurred. James paid very careful attention to the safety aspects, taking precautions by sectioning off that part of the basement, closing off HVAC ducts, and using blowers, HEPA filters, multiple plastic barriers and more, all of which enabled me to safely stay in the house during the work. The work itself was amazingly quiet! At the end of each day, James and his team hauled off lots of material for appropriate disposal and then James explained to me what they had accomplished during the day, any problems they encountered, and how the overall project was going. I really appreciated being informed about these aspects throughout the project. James and his team started at 9 am on a Monday, were on time every day, and finished at 3 pm on Friday, keeping to their original schedule and even finishing a little early. I am also amazed at the appearance of that area of the basement once the project was over. James and his workers did an outstanding job removing everything that needed to go, and making sure that the concrete floor and block walls were clean and dry. They did a terrific job of cleaning up after themselves, so there was no dust, no debris, etc. Outstanding! And the cost of the project was incredibly reasonable considering everything that had to be done. Bloom Environmental is outstanding! If I had another project requiring asbestos/mold removal, I would definitely hire them again. Bloom Environmental has my highest recommendation!

This is an efficient place to get a COVID test, either antibody (have you had it) or antigen (do…read moreyou have it now) type. You do need an appointment. I have been here twice. Once in November, where I stayed in the car and they came out to do the test there and today where I could go inside and get some basic vitals (O2 level, BP rate) recorded as well. The Clinic is inside the Kroger at this address. Use the north door and turn left inside the door and head for the pharmacy. This is a much larger and newer Kroger than normal and the Clinic is a three room one as opposed to most being only two rooms. It seems to be regularly staffed with a receptionist/cashier, two nurses, and an eye doctor. You can now get a result on an antigen Covid test in 15 minutes. They look just like pregnancy tests with the white plastic strip and you look for the red lines in the little window. I did not pay for this test but assume my insurance will. This test is a swab in each nostril, turning the swab seven times. I also opted to take the antibody test to see if I have had Covid in the past. This test is finger prick and costs $25. What I did not know is that it only is good for the past three months. The results take about the same amount of time. So unlike in November when I had to wait four days for the results, today the results were basically immediately. A nice feeling of being negative plus a welcomed confidence I am not about to infection anyone around me. Their sign says they have the vaccine but it's premature, as they do not as yet. I do know IU Heath has them for anyone over the age of 70 at the time of this review, 1/25/21.

I came to the east side and was told there was an hour wait. I was told to drive across town to…read morethe new location on the west side where there was zero wait time. I did. There was a full waiting room on the west side and a line backed up to the door. They were advising people to drive to the east side. People were really upset as they'd all driven from the east location to the west upon front office staff advising they do so. I was sick enough that after being told they had over an hour wait at the west side I drove home and did a virtual visit which is exactly what I'll do next time I'm sick. This was a super frustrating situation because the offices were not communicating with each other, but both telling people to go to the opposite location.

Updating my review, specifically for Rita Burkholder NP's office and the online "patient portal"…read morewhich is supposedly how your provider communicates with you. IMA Landmark is now part of IU Health. I have always had good experiences with IU Health. Unfortunately, this has not been the case with Rita's office. I had a test run at the end of February. The results were sent to Rita's office within 24 hours. It took a week for them to get the results to me and only after I called the office, was on hold for ten minutes and then had to have Rita's nurse call me back. I had checked the patient portal multiple times and they had the test listed but no results so that was when I decided to call her office. I asked her nurse if it normally takes a week to get test results and she got defensive. I wasn't blaming her or anyone, I just wanted to know if it is normal to wait a week for test results. I also asked her if the results of the test would be put on the patient portal and she said they would be. The actual results of the test (the numbers) are STILL not on the patient portal. So, while I received a diagnosis (very bluntly delivered over the phone from Rita's nurse) , I have no idea of what the actual results of the test are. Called again today, this time on hold for about five minutes. Had to leave a voicemail for Rita. Hopefully the results of the test will be put up on the patient portal which is supposed to be how we can see our test results, communicate with our doctors and take an active role in our healthcare. Very disappointed in the level of communication with my healthcare provider and the total uselessness of the patient portal. Hoping this improves but definitely considering finding another provider.
