I've had a medical issue that I've been trying to get taken care of, so my mind has been on other things. A recent letter from a debt collector brought them back to mind though. I'll try to summarize my experience. When I got to RAYUS's Bloomington, Indiana location, I noticed a hall extending away from the lobby into the back of the building with doors hanging wide open. I didn't think much of it except it seemed strange to have the doors hanging wide open like that. Some time later I was called into the back, told to change into a medical gown, and given directions on how to get to the imaging room. I changed into the gown and then realized the path I was given took me down that same hallway which was on show to the lobby and beyond that to the street. So if you were driving by on Bloomfield Road, you're welcome for the peep show, I guess. When I later met with my urologist, he read me the text of RAYUS's report which said I had a kidney stone in my left ureter. At hearing this, I panicked. I was at my urologist due to a swollen right kidney, and now he's telling me there is a stone completely blocking my left kidney. But don't worry, reader, RAYUS is just bad at what they do. Within moments of looking at the scan image my urologist saw the stone was in my right ureter. My left kidney was fine. So after the peep show and visions of needing life-long dialysis, I decided I'm not going back to RAYUS. There was plenty else to worry about because the kidney stone was pretty bad. It included lots of doctors visits, bills, and letters from my insurance. Enough was going on that I didn't realize RAYUS never sent me a bill. This wasn't too noteworthy in my mind. I mean, with all of the medical procedures I quickly reached my out-of-pocket limit and then everything was paid for through insurance. Now here we are 6 months later and I receive a letter from a collections agency. Instead of ever sending me a bill, they sent a debt collector after me. I guess my only solace is instead of getting immediate payment in full if they'd billed me months ago, they'll have to share it with the collections agency.

I was told this 4 different times and its day 15 and I'm still waiting for my money.They constantly give you the run around and can careless that you're in pain and have to use the money they owe me to have an upright MRI 2 hours away because Im a self pay patient. I have spoken to everyone from Christina and Amber at the front desk to Lisa in the billing office and Melissa the supervisor and still no resolution. Management is scarce and I even reached out to the company that owns this location and was pushed away by the receptionist and did not want to be heard. Well lets just say my attorney and the local news is on top of this and I will get my money back. I do not recommend this place to anyone because they are simply about the money and not the patient.

Just last year I found a family doctor I thought was amazing but she just stepped down so I found myself looking again. I ended up at Well Now today on the recommendation of my wife who was shocked at how friendly and competent the staff was four months ago. My experience today was the same. Every single person there was friendly from front office to nurse to nurse practitioner. My issue was solved and then they set me up with instructions on what to do going forward and sent my prescription to my regular pharmacy. I would give them all a raise if I could, but the least I can do is make sure to leave a review and say thank you everyone. At a moment in time where medical professionals are hard to find and often overworked and frustrated, this crew refuses to be jaded and is still on their A-game. God bless you all.

There was a full waiting room on the west side and a line backed up to the door. They were advising people to drive to the east side. People were really upset as they'd all driven from the east location to the west upon front office staff advising they do so. I was sick enough that after being told they had over an hour wait at the west side I drove home and did a virtual visit which is exactly what I'll do next time I'm sick. This was a super frustrating situation because the offices were not communicating with each other, but both telling people to go to the opposite location.

Updating my review, specifically for Rita Burkholder NP's office and the online "patient portal"…read morewhich is supposedly how your provider communicates with you. IMA Landmark is now part of IU Health. I have always had good experiences with IU Health. Unfortunately, this has not been the case with Rita's office. I had a test run at the end of February. The results were sent to Rita's office within 24 hours. It took a week for them to get the results to me and only after I called the office, was on hold for ten minutes and then had to have Rita's nurse call me back. I had checked the patient portal multiple times and they had the test listed but no results so that was when I decided to call her office. I asked her nurse if it normally takes a week to get test results and she got defensive. I wasn't blaming her or anyone, I just wanted to know if it is normal to wait a week for test results. I also asked her if the results of the test would be put on the patient portal and she said they would be. The actual results of the test (the numbers) are STILL not on the patient portal. So, while I received a diagnosis (very bluntly delivered over the phone from Rita's nurse) , I have no idea of what the actual results of the test are. Called again today, this time on hold for about five minutes. Had to leave a voicemail for Rita. Hopefully the results of the test will be put up on the patient portal which is supposed to be how we can see our test results, communicate with our doctors and take an active role in our healthcare. Very disappointed in the level of communication with my healthcare provider and the total uselessness of the patient portal. Hoping this improves but definitely considering finding another provider.

They messed up the X-rays they needed to take and put on someone else's chart. So the doctor thought that I never had the X-ray done. They couldn't figure out the computer so they made me re-take them. Free dose of cancer....

This is in regards to the Occupational Health service, which is absolutely terrible…read more My husband didn't even see a physician, but rather an utterly clueless nurse practitioner who didn't know the first thing about mold exposure, declaring that one cannot become sick from mold exposure (no matter what species of mold, how much, etc.) unless the exposure lasts for many, many weeks. Seriously? She obviously hasn't read anything from OSHA, the CDC, peer reviewed studies, learned about anecdotal reports, etc.- but one thing is very clear: this location has the back of the worker's comp insurance companies. No testing was conducted, so her definitive misinformation was based on..... nothing. Some lies, a very basic physical, and out the door you go.
